Thanks for this review! I bought and played this game a few weeks ago. I'm planning on playing it more next week (on a short vacation) while adding some expansions. Played almost all Oniverse games... My ranking is: 1-Sylvion 2-Onirim 3-Nautilion 4-Cyberion 5-Aerion 6-Castelion 7-Urbion
I plan on getting this one eventually. I have Onirim and Sylvion, which I prefer. I never found Onirim that challenging, even with all the expansion. Sylvion has a much better replay value. I am looking to trying this one. While the artwork isn't my style, I do appreciate the originality of the cartooning. And I do appreciate thoughtful games that are affordable and don't take up huge amounts of space. There's something to be said for supporting that.
I enjoy the art in these games so much, it’s such a pleasure to lay out the cards on the table. I keep losing Onirim by one or two cards, and I’m determined to have a winning game before I open up Cyberion 😆
This is my first omni verse game and really enjoy. There are two of the five modules I always play with. Scratches the contract fulfilment itch. Now I'm waiting for Skoventyr to arrive from inPatience.
@tabletopforone If you do, better skip the introductory mode: it's boring and too difficult to win! Play the game with the tile abilities from the get go. :-)
I have Omnirim, it's apart of my 10/10. I haven't really played it too much, just a couple of times. I was reminded of another Robot game you had reviewed recently. This looks entertaining enough. Would you sleeve the cards? Thank you for all you do Daniel.
You're welcome, and thank you. Yes, I'd sleeve my cards. In fact, I sleeve for all my games that have cards that shuffle. My hands have severe arthritis, but sleeved cards are easier and less painful to shuffle.
I played it about 15 times and really like it. However, you should definitely try out the other expansions. Like you, I like the Microbots a lot, but I also can't image ever wanting to play this without the Babybots again... As for the difficulty: I don't mind the base game being on the easier side, I do mind the randomness of the first few turns, however, where you don't have any upgrades yet and thus no way of manipulating the market. So if your robots don't match the machines, you're pretty much screwed. That just feels weird. Apart from that, I enjoy it a lot, like all the Oniverse games. Cyberion sits in the middle of the Oniverse for me, with Onirim and Sylvion being on top and Nautilion and Aeron at the bottom (but I still like them a lot). I love Urbion as well and can't wait for the deluxe version that will be coming out later this year.
I agree on the starting hand. Personally I would just mulligan or perhaps a house rule to start with one random upgrade. I'll give the baby bots a go the next time I play.
Did you play the others? Can you rank them all? Also it seems like you have bullet heart/star did you play and review them? Can you also rank/tier list all characters there?
I've only played Onirim and Sylvion a couple times. If I were to rank them with Cyberion, I'd put Sylvion at the top, followed by Cyberion then Onirim. I don't have a ranking for the Bullet characters. I love them all, with one or two exceptions. To me it's all about the matchup, as specific heroines going up against specific bosses provide such different experiences. Maybe one day I'll make a list of my favorite matchups 🙂

I've been having tourble finding this game...appears to be out of stock everywhere. Have you played with any of the other expansions that the game comes with?
I'm sorry you're having trouble finding it. I'm pretty sure my local game shop has it, but shipping from them will probably be $14 or so. As for other expansions, I haven't yet played the others, but I will play with the baby bots next.

Another vote for Sylvion. I really need to try it again.

I need to play Sylvion again. Thanks for the recommendation!

Indeed, they have a great table presence. I hope you enjoy Cyberion when you try it.
Absolutely love the art style of the series. It's goofy and fun.
Yeah, it's really good and fitting
Thank you for your thoughts on this one, Daniel. I have had my eye on it for a while now, I just need to pull the trigger.
You're welcome 🙂

I'm glad you enjoy it! I hope you enjoy Skoventyr too. It's something unique.
I like Castellion a lot. Then Onirim and Sylvion. Haven't played Cyberion yet.
I'll have to try Castellion. I own it already 🙂

@tl1269 thank you for the suggestion!

My favorite is Nautillion
Thanks for the recommendation. I don't own that one yet.

I glad Urbion is going to be accessible again. From everything I've seen, it might end up being my favourite.

Cool thanks
But did you a gameplay or review on the bullet games?

Thanks, but it's just gameplay, have you done a full review?
Will wait for your ranking, best match up or whatever you want to do to revisit it
Sorry, gave you the wrong second link

without its art nobody would give it a second look.
I definitely shop for new games with my eyes on the art.
