    I tried the sleep mat in the layers... on my frontline, slipped all over the shop & so uncomfortable... Loved the cooking and the wild camp tagged onto the end... way too many innuendos 🤣😂🤣🤣😂 watched this from start to finish Paul. Enjoyed it. See ya next Sat. Lee

    Firstly I'd like to thank Peter. The last video, Perter cooked like my Mrs, black and very crispy. She, my Mrs, saw my comments and has since left to live with her mother. Wow, what a result, been trying to get the Mrs out of my house and two, stop the Mother-in-Law from come to visit. I couldn't have come up with a better plan, cheers Peter lol . You have to love youtube. Nice curry.

    I like the idea of adding as much or as little tikka spice. I am a light weight when it comes to hot stuff. Going out in the rain to cook was such a fun thing to do. The camo gear you and Peter wore blended into the the surrounding beautifully, and it seemed you were both quite comfortable. You must be up in elevation there a bit; it seemed the clouds were almost touchable.

    • @PaulBissekerBushcraft
      @PaulBissekerBushcraft  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      There isn't much if any heat in tikka spices it's the most popular curry in the UK. We live in the Chiltern Hills so it's valleys and peaks. The clouds are closer on the peaks ;) Cycling around here is a pain in the legs lol

  • @liquidvic

    Another great little adventure. I'm defo gonna try making that tikka. : )

    • @PaulBissekerBushcraft
      @PaulBissekerBushcraft  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cheers mate, I was pleasantly surprised with the curry. Must have been the stove working it's magic ;) Thanks Vic

    • @liquidvic
      @liquidvic 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm sure it was all down to the talents of the chef.
      I heard if you sit a trangia stove on its lid, effectively raising it up in the pocket stove, it hits the sweet spot for ideal heat exchange. That said you seemed to get a great end result regardless.
      Meant to ask…What was the pot you had inside the zebra? I have the MSR Seagull, similar size I think, would be nice to get a pot for inside it.
      Looking forward to the next vid btw.

  • @redsorgum

    Nice little wood stove. Being able to use the Trangia is a great bonus. If you like scrambled eggs, adding some plain Greek yogurt will make them nice and fluffy, it also adds some extra protein and flavor.

    "..... it's upside down....." Soooo funny hearing that after watching Peters concentration face as he squeezed and squeezed and squeezed. Love the vids, good inspiration. I bought a hard anodised trangia set and love how you can cook properly with the spirit burner. My MSR whisperlite is good and totally reliable but if you need to simmer you're bang out of luck. The trangia burner is my new favourite.

    Lol love how slow Pete was getting through that gate, thought he was stuck at one point lol. Definatly going to be trying the tikka, looked so easy. Still not convinced on the bushcraft essentials stoves, looks very honey stove-ish with the setup, and as good as the honey stove was am now very spoilt with my folding fire box stoves that I absolutely love . But what a generous gift. Keep them coming Paul.

    Paul. Definitely one of the best vids yet. I really enjoyed it. Brilliant. That wee pocket stove looks a winner especially with the trivits. The fact you can use the trangia burner with the option of others heat option. I'd like to see a comparison with the trangia triangle and your new stove. Thank you again. Ian

    It never ceases to amaze me how small your country is and yet how much open land you have considering how large your population is. It’s kind of the other way here. 2nd largest country population 37,000,000. Hardly any open spaces.. every thing is fenced. No trespassing.

    • @PaulBissekerBushcraft
      @PaulBissekerBushcraft  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      We have by ways so by law we can walk over private land. If we step off the path we are trespassing! There's OS maps that show all the public rights of way in the UK. Thanks for watching Gerald ;)

    Had a Phall last night and am paying for it today! I like the wet weather kit you and Peter were wearing Paul,is it British army issue kit mate? Nice chilled camp,liked the timelapse.Good one lads.

    • @PaulBissekerBushcraft
      @PaulBissekerBushcraft  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's called a Phall because when it hits the back of your throat, you say phall king hell!!!! Yes its DPM MVP "Gortex" wet weather gear issued to the services before the MTP came out. The trousers are DPM but not military issue. They are waterproof with a thin fleece inner and zip pockets. You can get the jacket to match the trousers. Thanks Andy
