    Paul, just wanted to say that this was brilliant. You combined a great day out with great food. Sounds and looks like paradise. So many videos on here show a hard days exercise followed by eating freeze dried crap where the only selling point is that it’s light and full of calories.
    Fine if you are in the army, but it’s not how you maximise your enjoyment of the great outdoors. Respect to you sir.

    Paul, my compliments to the chef! It is a rarity in this day and time to see someone actually cook with real ingredients as God intended us. You are and inspiration to all of us. Please tell Peter that he is important, and that we miss his humor, and participation. Happy New Year 2020 to both of you and may God bless. Keep the videos coming. Ken (from across the pond).

    Tatonka have their own Trangia style cookset that appears to be a close copy of the 25 set. The 3 stainless steel pans can be bought seperately and might be able to be used in place of aluminium ones. Worth checking if you want a stainless steel Trangia set!

    Good Morning Paul (from a South African living in cool-ish Rheinfelden, Switzerland .. currently -2°C) ..
    Hmm .. nice Curry .. I'm a die hard Curry Fan and must try the Indian Cheese bit. We have an 'Indian' Store near the Station in Basel (just down the drag from us by rail) .. will take a gander my next time in .. thanks.
    The 'sweating' of the spices .. I must try that too. I normally fry up the Curry etc in oil beforehand to release the flavours and aroma.
    And for you Paul, a great Year's End and an even better 2020.
    Cheers 🍻 and take care .. Tommy

    • @PaulBissekerBushcraft
      @PaulBissekerBushcraft  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Tommy, I cook curry in so many different ways depending on temperature control and pan size ect. I will do it as you said at home where i have more control over these things. I find with thin camp pans it gets hot very quick and it's hard to prepare and cook at the same time. It would probably be easier if i prepared everything before starting to cook. The wind can make it a challenge too. I love it tho! Happy New Year Tommy

    Excellent! That curry looked so good - what a colour! Could almost taste it! Paneer seems a good option if you're not so confident with getting the meat properly cooked - and tastes good of course! I'm keen to do more cooking on my day hike vids so will definitely have a go at a curry. Hey! You've got my knife...or really, I've got yours - I bought it after seeing your review. I really like it (I'm left-handed so was pleased about the sheath!) but have found it difficult to get a spark off the ferrorod with the back of the blade. Not sure if it's not got enough of an edge or it's just me being crap - have you managed it? I've got a separate striker so not a prob, just wondering if it's just me. Anyway, Thanks Paul, another lovely vid to watch. ATB, Mark.

    • @PaulBissekerBushcraft
      @PaulBissekerBushcraft  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I had problems getting sparks too. I roughed up an inch on the back with a file, it's better now but not perfect. I use the file on the Swiss Champ for a guaranteed striker! When i found the sheath was left handed i wasn't pleased! Lol. I wish you a very happy new year Mark. You just got your 15th Sub ;)

    Cool setting Paul, I love a curry but would have to give this one a miss, I don't really like cheese especially cooked for a long time, I've only really started having cheese on toast but with HP sauce spread on the toast in gallons... love the texture of cheese though... that said it looked amazing. No Paul. Great curry. Approx how many millilitres of meths does it take to fill a Trangia and how long a burn time do you recon you get? Aware the temperature will make this vary 👍🏻😉

    • @PaulBissekerBushcraft
      @PaulBissekerBushcraft  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have gas cans with various screw in stoves, Primus multi fuel stove that I fill with petrol & a simple Trangia Mini (T28). I’ve been searching through some old gear from my more bushcraft days and been putting odd bits together. 10cm Zebra billy & Trangia make a good combo. Looking for somewhere that sells the 2 tiny bars that lock together and sit on top of the trangia as a cross. Any ideas 💡?

      The knife is very sharp out of the box. I got it as a present. I sharpen it regularly as i do with all of my knives. I do think it's too thick to cut up food though. For the money it's a good knife in my opinion. The sheath is left handed!
