At least they automated the bureacracy while still keeping the experience the same. Hate to see what the DMV & Postal service is like now. At some point we'll have to agree that Skynet is a better alternative to the system.
you know what: maybe thats how skynets villains arc was created.
the process was automated and 90% of humans interacting with skynet said "why don't you just kill me and end my suffering"
It brings me such joy seeing people cringe so hard at my story.

This isn’t a human thing, that’s just California being California.
It's worse in Texas. I tried to renew my driver's license so I could get my car re-registered. Turns out, if you have a vehicle, you need a valid registration to get your license renewed. If you want to get your license renewed, you have to have your valid registration.
Apparently if they're both expired, you're just expected to die on the side of the road.
@@anonymouspotato4899 in my state, in order to get insurance on a vehicle you need a drivers licence and several years of driving experience, but in order to get a drivers licence, you need a vehicle with insurance on it. Fucking wonderful
Poor dude i know that pain all to well why is it so damned hard to get a person when calling a place my issue could be sorted in 5 minutes if it wasn't for all the damned computer nonsense god i miss calling places and just having someone answer the phone
Even when someone answers the phone, your simple problem will not be simply sorted in 5 minutes.
I worked for phone tech support for over six months and all i heard every day was "You need to sell more, or you'll get fired.", i finally quit because i couldn't take it anymore.
I wasn't in sales or even customer support, i was in tech support. My job was supposed to be to resolve people's technical issues, not sell them things they didn't need.
One day, they made me listen in on the best technician of the place, so i would get better. The guy didn't solve a single problem all day, all he did was sell the costumers stuff they didn't need.
The rare time the computer systems work as intended make them seem like such a wonderful thing, the rest of the time they make you wish to get some call center in India because the company decided it was cheaper to outsource the job.
This... was painful on a different level.
i understand his pain... tried to make a joke 4 times now in different ways... it's about a band from the 90s singing about his problems...
Now we know why zenos are so hostile.🤣
As a customer care representative myself, I feel your pain going through the IVR. Unfortunately, nothing will ever bypass that.
Can you imagine if a small group of rebellious programmers created a backdoor... ?

I mean it is not just the xenos that rage at the system... most humans just know that getting angry and lashing out does not accomplish anything.
I was half expecting for the alien to get through most of that, without the assault on the prez.
And get through to tech support finally ,only to be told,
" have you tried turning it off and turning it back on again"
This was funny, but man did I feel bad for him.

The word "Agent" seems to work with most automated phone stuff, for me.

It would have been easier to find a human in space to come work on the computer in their office... also how did the aliens get to space without computers of their own making?

So a random alien, who has never been to Earth, comes here and then gets violent and aggressive because his lack of research/preparation caused his plan to fall apart and because everyone isn't then bending over to fix his problems?....reminds me of some the worst stories about arrogant/ignorant/entitled tourists.
