Seeing your figure skating content is such a gift! And excuse me, ICE FLYS?!! I think we have the same Riedell skates (motion, I think), but I think want to get some more supportive ones as I learn more skills. I'm about a freeskate 3 and struggling to start the backspin. 😭
Motion is great for uhh...range of motion! But the rigid boot makes a HUGE difference with jumps. My edges are deep and controlled now too.
@@KellyStamps I have read that ice flys could be *too* rigid/grippy if you aren’t doing double and triple jumps. Have you had any problems? I’m currently rocking some Jackson premiere skates but I’ve wondered if a stiffer skate could help me
