In my 32 years of living on this planet Earth, my tingly esophagus and ovaries has shown me that life comes full circle. Case in point. I grew up outside of US, in a country that the ONLY way to survive was to homestead. So I grew up learning how to grow our own veggies, take care of animals, make cheese, butter, and even saw our own clothes. But I also absolutely hated this way of living. So what do I do? I move as far I humanly possibly to a country where if you want to get tomatoes you go to a store and don't spend hours, days weeks and months waiting for one to grow in your garden. Now to the plot twist. I'm 32 now and seeing the trend towards homesteading esp in US aka the country where kids don't know where tomatoes come from. What's more I now YEARN for a huge chunk of land and my own veggies and homesteading. life id WEIRD lol

I was disappointed at the boob job but this is exactly what you are talking about. at the end of the day you are still a person and yes even if people look up to you or see you as inspiration you are still a person with feelings insecurities etc. we tend to put people on a pedestal. It's not healthy. We don't know you personally.

Woah. I’m with you on the tingling, growing, “something bad is coming” feeling. It’s hard to know how much is intuition for REAL and how much is my anxiety catastrophizing the future. I feel it so badly, whatever it is. And I have two little boys and no idea what their future looks like. 😭

Unfortunately for me it started in 2000. I've been screaming off the top of my lungs for people to wake up but, they refuse too. We have a two party system in a country with over 300 million in population but are considered a democracy. Yet Cuba who has a population of less than 20 million and one main party is considered a communist country? There are so many wicked things that are shinning right in front of our eyes now, in broad daylight but we are still refusing to see the truth. Our past generations failed us. If the world is in the state it is now, it is because past generations refused to wake up and take a stand.
If someone asks for my number, I turn it around and ask for their number instead. Just say “this works best for me”. That puts a clear and firm boundary down without shutting the door on them. You are kind of famous so you cannot be giving your number to strangers. I would never ask a stranger for their number. It’s rude.
Right... like do I know you? Stranger danger is used for kids a lot but i still stick to it and it surprises me how many people disregard it. The men that usually do, do it for shallow reasons as well. Low quality men.
The down side of being a well known TH-camr or person in general: random people stopping you in the middle of the night to ask how you blow up. That’s scary. Stay safe
Edit: take that break Sis. Even if it’s for a month. You’ll come back reenergized. A month and a half break from posting content was amazing for my mental health.

When I don't expect a video to perform well it gets 10/10. The ones that took more thought or personal chatter get 1/10. I swear one day I'll upload a video titled "breathing air for ten minutes straight" and it'll go viral.

I totally feel you on the notion that something is coming. My sister and I grew up in San Diego and are looking to buy a few hundred acres together in either montana, idaho, or wyoming and learn to "live off the land" in case something goes down. The media has turned different racial and socioeconomic groups against one another and I think this might all be part of some larger plan and we are all just pawns in it. Totally agree. You should watch my idaho video! I wouldn’t suggest settling there unless you know people because it is rather small, but I know several people who have started this plan in Montana and are loving it. I just don’t want to hear any of it anymore. It’s kind of impossible to not see politics and race videos when I upload to TH-cam but have to login on occasion. I do my reading when necessary on politics and race-based tragedies but it’s just actually bizarre to me how often people think about race. But sadly it’s always going to be like that.
I admit I was slightly apprehensive about going to Idaho the first time I went many years ago, I was assuming I would run into the KKK LOL. But most people aren’t thinking about my race or gender. I ran into a couple of other black people on my trip and we agreed that it’s actually good to go out to places where we aren’t seen. I feel like it’s my way of making the world a little less ignorant LOL. Think about it, at least 50 people ran into me and now they have a good impression of what others are like.
@ Hayley It’s bizarre how often I see people constantly blaming the media for pitting groups ( based on race, socioeconomic status) against each other, as if we as humans have not already been doing this long before the strong presence of media. Things won’t change if we don’t take accountability for our part in the disruption that has been amongst humans for thousands of years. This isn’t just the media, this is also the average civilian turning on each other due to their own free will.

I have no clue what to say about the boundary-less-ness that you've been experiencing with strangers. I feel it's a culmination of the past few years where the societal culture has shifted towards personal entitlement, emotional instability and lack of critical thinking (amplified by almost 2 years of isolation). It definitely isn't the first story of it and won't be the last unfortunately. Just keep up your protection, situational awareness and smart choices. Go take a break from all this. You have the ability and you should. Don't feel guilty or take for granted all the freedoms your hard work and success has brought you. :)

I'm a mini homesteader but out in the desert. Find a home with alot of land, tucked away preferrably. Get solar and residential battery storage. Make sure your property has a well or is near a river. A well is preferable and install a good well water filter. Build a food pantry and start your garden.

Ugh, people who don't understand boundaries. And then if you try to call them out for their behavior, they act like you're the problem! It's amazing what a lack of self-awareness can do to people. I don't get bothered by creators not uploading for a while, especially not a week. I have so many other interests to fill my time, so that's why. Also, that's what notifications are for. But I guess the impatient people who can't even wait a week are just bored with their lives. Some of these people forget you are a human being. They get mad because you won’t give them your number. I’m sure they wouldn’t give their number to a stranger either. Some of them are really ridiculous.
People are out here making videos about you like you’re not even a human being just so they can get likes. It’s crazy to me the things people do to others, but they wouldn’t want it done to them. They are jealous because they want what you have, but they don’t realize when they’re jealous they can’t have what you have. Jealousy is a low vibration and no one can get what they want that way.
Yeah I made the mistake of searching my name once on TH-cam when I was showing something to my neighbor and like 12 videos came up like why I’m subscribing or no longer watching k stamps 😂 I was like oh my goodness I swear I’m not Logan Paul or James Charles I don’t know what that is 👀
I never said anything about it because in the end, anyone putting my name in videos is just drawing more viewers back to me, but it is very strange to me how my name has become “clout.” 😂 My channel blew up and January but it was bigger than other blowups because FIVE videos took off at the exact same time. It created this sort of celebrity effect but thankfully now it has died off. I used to respond to the first few videos because I thought people were genuinely trying to reach out to me, but now I realize it’s just a way for people to get views and it makes me feel not human. But I’m honored that I was able to create a trend just being myself. when people do that it just reminds me of people who cheat off each other in school. I was never interested in doing that.
@@KellyStamps you haven’t done anything to anyone. Sometimes people are just jealous no matter what you do. All that matters is that you’re doing what makes you happy. This process is weeding out the people that don’t need to be around.
I don’t think some people understand that you have to get paid to keep creating videos. Sometimes it can be challenging to figure out how to incorporate sponsorships into comedic like videos. A lot of us love seeing you grow and what you to get paid, so just do the best you know how. We’re cheering you on!☺️

It seems jealousy dehumanises the object of jealousy. The more someone has or the more envied he is, the less others consider him a regular human being - and his/her hurt or painful emotions. Weird

It struck me the wrong way. Does Kelly mean “falling off the deep end” as in recognising how messed up society is and making a push to change it from the ground up? If that’s “falling off the deep end”, then what’s the alternative? Staying as we are? The past 5 years have shown how we can’t do that.

It depends on where you live in Texas. No one says howdy in the city. I've lived in Texas my entire life and wouldn't be caught dead saying howdy 🤣 and I live in the suburbs to put it into perspective.

I feel the shift too! I have such anxiety over it. My gut tells me we are in for a world of hurt. I bought a Berkey water filter, am hoarding food (including pet food), and bought a solar generator. God help us all

Kelly, have you ever heard of Marie Forleo? She's on TH-cam and she refers people to free tips on her blog or she has some go to links to other people's vlogs she can send them to. Do you have business cards? A Website? The way to handle someone who approaches you like that next time is to give them a business card with your email address only, no phone number. Most people are too lazy to even follow up but if they do that's when you have the copy paste info/links/tips to email reply back with. And or you could also refer them to one of you videos about how you blew up or got started etc. This is a professional way to handle someone who asks you on the spot about how to "blow up" lol. Also sorry for the loss of your father.

My sister and I are looking into buying our own land for regenerative farming and housing. My aunt has her own garden and I remember my cousin showing me how green the fresh lettuce was after a wash vs the store bought lettuce that still had a waxy look.
Being self sufficient in that way is a great goal to have! You control what you consume and know where it comes from

I grew up in TX and it is a great place to learn about that, since there is a strong culture of living off the land. I have been getting that gut feeling for years now, so I feel you on that. Start preparing from now...slowly but surely. I have the urge also to start creating my apocalypse team (🤣 and start learning certain skills)
Strangely relatable! Worked abroad in a country where I was clearly a foreigner (appearance, native language, etc.) and many times the locals would have NO sense of boundaries. Often times their logic seemed to be, FOREIGNER = FREE ENGLISH LESSONS or FOREIGNERS = ENTITLEMENT TO PHOTOS/ ENGAGEMENT.
There were days where I'd be sick, exhausted, sad, or clearly busy but people still approached. It's one thing to ask for a photo and another to demand such. It's one thing to be curious but another to point, poke or grab me without permission, trail me throughout public spaces, or argue that this invasive behavior is acceptable because people "don't know better", are "just curious", or that foreigners are soo rare that I should just accept it. It's exhausting and not ok! Especially when they clearly understand boundaries when they are the ones in question. I'd find strangers with their hands in my hair unsolicited, for example, but I know for a fact they'd freak out if I returned the favor. The poor behaviors of some can make it hard to remember all the amazing people who *did* respect boundaries and treat me as a fellow human being with mutual respect and the autonomy to give or rescind consent.
These interactions radically changed the way I lived while there. Over time I didn't explore as much nor leave my house as much as I didn't have the energy or mental strength to deal with all of that.
Boundaries are boundaries, people. Please, respect them. NO ONE is entitled to anyone else, no matter how "innocent" or reasonable you think your justifications are.
Setting boundaries can be so uncomfortable but I hope it ultimately gives you some relief from dealing with people. Sending love ❤️

Unfortunately people just aren’t as connected to reality as they ought to be. If I see an online sensation I’ll just think to myself “oh wow that’s such and such”. Hence I saw one today while target shopping. People have this tendency to forget although the creator is sharing some of their personal life with the internet, privacy and respect are still vital. Glad you’re able to regroup and not completely freak out.
