Rockstar wasted such an awesome character that Johnny was. Instead of having him be weak and on meth, should've had The Lost work along side Trevor. The drug war of Blaine County against the Angels and other rival gangs. Thanks for making this DLC pointless...

Wolfox My friend, getting Johnny's Hexer and driving it into the sunset in a leather jacket is all Johnny, Jim, Angus and all the brothers would have wanted
14:05-14:50 is one of the best parts of this whole games because Terry starts to pour fuel and you lightly hear the theme of TLAD play then Angus, Terry, Clay and Johnny are outside with the theme playing while staring at the club house burning down, this is why TLAD is my favourite GTA
A'ight, so Johnny faces 15 years for drug charges and he thinks he can bypass that by committing several dozens of first degree murders in a place where there's obviously camera surveillance?
You know the world has gone topsy-turvy when your (supposed!) friend and brother (Grey) turns on you and your best chance for help is someone who represents everything you've been rebelling against (Stubbs).
Everyone plays GTA expecting to start out at the bottom and end the game having evolved into that mythologized "successful" criminal. TLAD turns that formula on its head, making it one of the more "realistically" written entries in the series. Feeling more like a cautionary tale about the outcomes of outlaw life in the modern world; Johnny fought constantly, and ended up with betrayal, blackmail, chronic injury, grief, financial ruin, addiction, and finally -- death. At some point, he realized his anti-authority philosophy was nothing more than a massive fraud to hide behind, and it was far too late. Nothing but a dirty mattress in a dead man's home to show for it; too proud and stubborn to admit to any of this, even to himself...until his very last words: "I messed up." Honestly R* knew what they were doing when they ended his story. We're upset as fans because we wanted him to move on, but that was never the purpose of his character. In the end he truly was lost in the world, and damned to his fate.
Koweden Yeah, but that’s because Luis wasn’t really a criminal. He just tried to get his boss out of a very fucked up situation. I mean sure there are those side missions with Armando and Henrique, but overall, Luis wasn’t a criminal. He was just trying to fix Tony’s mistakes.
Most of the people are not angry about the fact that Johnny Died they(including myself) are angry about how Johnny Died sure meth got him weak and stuff but Ray needed to hit him two times with a fucking pistol to ground him which would normally black out most of humans in one hit. It so stupid how they just made Johnny a drug junkie and still being attached to Ashley. He learned unltimately to leave her alone, also he lost any connection to her.(stopped loving her to an extend, due how toxic for him it is) He tells to cut all ties, Stubbs talks about his ideals straight from medieval times. It's not"harsh reality" look at how many levels we see that He and Ashley are a no more, just after killing goons of Ray at end of conversation he breaks up with her, then just proves this later after Get Lost. It's not same as any before situation they had. He wouldnt come back to her. He lost to much and dont want to loose more just to see her wither away with or without his help. Rockstar used it as a shock value piece, but they could avoid using Johnny for that, and maybe use someone more or less random atleast not Johnny. It would work in same way(Johnny could be there as episodic character in LS Chapter denying and not supporting junkies hell hole which Stab City is, and Ashley just followed him in belief that they can still be together. Hell we could even get small "campaign to play with him, seeing how Lost does under his and his only command in Los Santos without drugged dick like Billy, Brian. Only Him, Terry, Clay and Angus(he could be as passenger in Terry's van as a shooter :P) But no better break all character development of Johnny and make him drug junkie.

Its kinda poetic and realistic that a man who not only had the balls and charisma to do what Johnny did ended up killed by Trevor. If he didnt become strung out he could have taken Trevor no prob, but like all things life got to him and he became a strung out junky loser just like Ashley and his friends weren't there to support him enough through his own problems and it got him easily manipulated and killed by trevor(an also tweaked out drug addict). Fuck who would have guessed a game at its very based levels about stealing cars and fighting cops could have such an amazing continuity story wise i fucking love Rockstar.

OMG I think this is probably the best final mission in GTA history. I know this DLC was short, but goddamn was the story incredible... Too bad Rockstar had to shit on The Lost MC in V.
Gta 4 alongside with tlad were surprisingly more dark than any other entry in gta. The story in both games had their dark and sad moments like the ending to this game and the wedding mission in gta. Looking back on theses games with an older mindset, they're both depressing. I really do hope the next gta game will be on the same level as theses games, as they make a better impression. Not necessarily a depressing game, but a more emotional game. If the game doesn't have that much emotion to it, it's hard to attach yourself to the characters more

Man, there’s something about that moment where Johnny and the boys just look at the clubhouse on fire that just feels so heartbreaking. Rockstar truly fucked up with where they took Johnny in V.
Regardless of what happened to Johnny in GTA V, I can understand that he was a shadow of his former self once he turned to meth. But man was this final mission badass, storms into a state prison, shoots his way into armed guards and swat force, just to kill Billy Grey. Billy Grey is one of GTA's most underrated antagonist, my favorite villain along with Officer Tenpenny and Dimitri Rascolov
13:20 - 13:50 , That line itself was better than any shit in GTA 5. Why couldn't they stick to dark, deep storylines instead of going to more of a Saint's Row path.
Agreed. GTA v mocked sr2s seriousness and comedy, they also parodied Southern California pretty bad with GTA five unlike GTA 4 where I felt like you were really in New York, in GTA 4 they made fun of pop culture and a few celebrities, GTA five parodied A lot of things
@@Mrnoobestreturns Because they broke into a high security prison and basically murdered everyone inside. What do you think is going to happen after something like that? Cops, SWAT teams, FBI, and maybe military are going to be SWARMING the clubhouse lol.
*In 4, most main missions and side ones involve shooting, killing people or destroying shit in some kind.* *For that reason only, personally, 4 + its 2 dlc > GTA5.*
I watched GTA V before I saw this so I have a few questions 1. Johnny pretty much said that the Lost MC was over. I mean I know there are probably other factions of the club spread out but Johnny says that he was pretty much done with the group... soooo why is he in GTA V and still with the group? 2. Why is he with Ashley in GTA V? This entire time he's been trying to get her off meth and even pretty much tells her that he wants nothing to do with her….but in GTA V they get back together and he's sorta a meth addict himself…WTF? 3. Why the fucking hell did Rockstar let Trevor kill Terry, Clay, and Johnny? 4. Ashley's hair is CLEARLY black in this series but it's brown in GTA V. I dunno if she dyed it but i doubt it. This makes no fucking sense
Meth is what happened to him. He did say he has a weak spot for women and Ashley being the only woman in his life had a meth problem of her own. People change for other people, sometimes for the best or sometimes for the worst. Never degrade yourself for someone else.
It’s really sad that this dlc ended with such a high note for Johnny, but then we find out that he basically went back to who he was at the beginning in GTA 5. @@shiesty_x_ghost4165 Niko can either lose his "Girlfriend" or his Cousin during the storyline, both endings are just sad and he feels empty... just check out Mrs and Mr bellic "deal" and "revenge" and you will understand. also check out Final mission A and B, even if kate's death is less sad than Roman's, Niko clearly is depressed in both endings.
@@naoaquieopatrickpatrick8565 I think, if we consider the deal ending to be the canon one, Niko definitely has a more tragic story. Dimitri is a piece of shit.
Oh and don't forget that if Niko decided to kill that traitor, he would've just lost himself to revenge too. No going back from there either
@@waspywasp451 sorry to debunk your statement, but Revenge is considered canon by the fact Roman said happy birthday to niko in the life invader on GTA V, honestly Revenge ending is less sad for the players, but for niko it's a punch in the face the same way it would be if his cousin death was canon.
@@naoaquieopatrickpatrick8565 I mean, I would say killing Dimitri is definitely the way to go. He was a clear threat to Niko and Roman and if he was left alive, they would be in danger all the time (as proven by what happens).
I'm talking about revenge on the traitor that got Niko's friends killed. That killing him would just leave Niko empty, unsatisfied.
Rockstar wasted such an awesome character that Johnny was. Instead of having him be weak and on meth, should've had The Lost work along side Trevor. The drug war of Blaine County against the Angels and other rival gangs. Thanks for making this DLC pointless...

That little smirk Johnny gave Stubbs when he was leaving. He loved that he was a man of his word and looked out for him.
You know the world has gone topsy-turvy when your (supposed!) friend and brother (Grey) turns on you and your best chance for help is someone who represents everything you've been rebelling against (Stubbs).
Society in a nutshell
Everyone plays GTA expecting to start out at the bottom and end the game having evolved into that mythologized "successful" criminal. TLAD turns that formula on its head, making it one of the more "realistically" written entries in the series. Feeling more like a cautionary tale about the outcomes of outlaw life in the modern world; Johnny fought constantly, and ended up with betrayal, blackmail, chronic injury, grief, financial ruin, addiction, and finally -- death. At some point, he realized his anti-authority philosophy was nothing more than a massive fraud to hide behind, and it was far too late. Nothing but a dirty mattress in a dead man's home to show for it; too proud and stubborn to admit to any of this, even to himself...until his very last words:
"I messed up."
Honestly R* knew what they were doing when they ended his story. We're upset as fans because we wanted him to move on, but that was never the purpose of his character. In the end he truly was lost in the world, and damned to his fate.
Underrated comment. Very well written, brother.
Righteous, Niko's story had turned that formula on its head too. Only TBoGT had a typical happy ending like the other GTA's.
