Finally got my T2 and went at it very carefully removing the counter weight, you need to wedge something in between the hinge of the counter weight and slowly and carefully pull back the cover of the counter weight, requires a little force! Pry that cover back enough and there are two small screw’s holding the two parts together, undo the screws and the camera and counter weight will seperate.

How do you get to the zone mapping up? It always asks to delete the camera that is synced and add, once I add the camera is syncs up straight away with no mapping option
Hey ! Amazing I really liked you're idea ! In my case, the camera would be at 14" from the bottom of the screen ... Do you think it should work ? Thank you !

Thanks for the great video. It has really helped me with deciding which backlight system to purchase. One question; How close does the camera have to be to the screen? Could it sit on a shelf about 10 inches lower than the TV? Thanks,
Thanks for the great video! Your videos on hiding the camera got me to adopt the govee platform and I've been loving it so far! I recently upgraded to the T2 and I've been running into a calibration issue where I can't move all the calibration points past a certain point. Anyone else having this problem?
These options were all essentially the same: stick it in a box under your tv. If you’re then going to hide the box behind your sound bar, then you don’t even need a box. Just lay the camera right on the cabinet top. If you’re worried about it moving, just put double sided tape between the camera and cabinet. Otherwise, use some of those rubber feet directly on the camera.
I am going to try some real Velcro (Velcro brand is super strong and actually works) and just attach the camera upside down to the bottom edge of the TV. I wonder why Govee didn't accommodate for this easily foreseeable option in their app to make it easier to calibrate for people like me who were going to try it anyway.
Is there any option to adjust backlight color for color of the wall? I want to use govee but I have very dark, almost black wall behind tv. What do you think?

Haven’t installed just yet, but instead of starting the strips from the bottom corner (per instructions), what about starting from the upper/opposite diagonal corner? Wouldn’t that eliminate the need to turn the phone upside down and select things mirrored?
I would like to ask how many centimeters each part is (the length of the led strip without connecting cables) for the 55-65 inch model? Also, has the software been updated to calibrate the camera in the bottom mounted position?
Love you're video I can really use your help I have the govee t2 then I brought the led light bulbs but I can't make them work together can you make a video on how to set that up please please

I think I did something wrong with the bottom mount. I did turn my phone around when matching the Blue and Red light calibration and when matching the dots to the Orange squares. But it seems the colors that are appearing on the screen are opposite to each other. Ex: if my tv screen is showing orange at the very top, the tv back lights is reflective orange at the very bottom. If there’s blue showing at the right, the lights are showing blue to the left. Any suggestions please ?🙏🏼
I see your tape measure but it is still hard for me to see the dimension I need. I only have 7.5" of space between my soundbar and TV stand. Can you tell me the overall length of the camera with the counter weight at 90 deg?
Nice ideas. I wonder if anybody makes a backlight system with a remote camera that could be placed anywhere in the room as long as it was pointed at the TV. Ideally with the remote camera communicating wirelessly. It would probably require a different lens rather than a wide angle. Should be doable though. They could even include some lens converters in the box for different distance placement options...like those little lens adapters people put on their cell phones sometimes.
Very helpful for people that don't have high wall mounted TV. For met his is completely useless because my TV is mounted on the wall directly above my fireplace... But idc about the camera, it's worth considering how dope it looks with all the lights popping out.
I just set up the t2 the best I could. I put the orange squares on the corners 3 each side and 1 at the bottom middle. As shown in the manual. When I go to calibrate. I’m only able to adjust the left screen by moving the dots to the orange squares. The he right side won’t adjust at all I tried twice. But each time I’m unable to move anything at all. Now in dream movie mode. It gives the option full or half screen. In half screen mode all corners move accordingly to the movie except the bottom right corner. I get nothing. But I’m full screen the whole screen moves. Can I please help me. I don’t know what else to do.
Is this better and more accurate than the Philips Hue Sync box though?? I heard Philips Hue Sync box is much better and more accurate not worried about price worried about quality and accuracy! Cool videos btw!
@ 9:50 you’re saying that you need to turn your phone upside down again. But this will mess up your calibration. The camera is looking from the button, so you want to select the red square opposite from the camera. Furthest away, cause the normal way you need to put the red dot on the bottom square. Which also would be the furthest away. I did it your way, and it took me 30 to figure out what was wrong.
Yo Tek, Why do you have 2 control boxes? i wanna run strip on my 55" Hisense TV and another kinda setup on my ultrawide Monitor on my PC so i'm wondering what i should get. Any suggestions?

I was thinking of upgrading to this from the T1 but I’m hoping that Govee will make bigger version of the G1 Pro Gaming version. Do you think there will be a G2 for 65”+? It just seems that rounded light strip of the G1 is superior?
Hey, thank you for all of your videos about govee light kits, they helped me a lot to understand them a bit better, tho I got a bit confused as I decide to change my 34" desktop monitor to an LG c2 42" and tryed to figured out which light kit would be the best for that size.... or which would be the best tech wise... seems the g1 pro kit is the best as you mantioned in an older video. But if you don't mind, can you confirm that to me, or you have any better tip or kit which I should pick instead? (Thank you again, and sorry for my English, hope you understand me.)
Thanks This may make it possible to use it as I only have 30mm between tv and wall (as it hangs like a picture ) so no space for a camera even if I would put up with a top mount 😁
I think you had said in another video that govee isnt making a dual control box for the t2 and 15" light bars ? Im just hesitant to buy the t2 and then they drop the dual ill be salty even though they're affordable its still costly
I've tried several (longer) usb c cables, and the usb c extender you list in the video - 6ft version.. none of them work - i get an error from the app stating that the camera is not connected and requires initialization. the stock (short) cable from Govee works fine by itself, but the moment i extend or replace it, nada. soooo frustrating as i really want to move the camera below the tv and have mounted on top of my center channel, and hiding that wire in the wall. any ideas?
ok, problem solved - i added the usb extender to the line from the lights to the control box, and that works as expected. adding a usb extender to the camera line resulted in a loss of signal - regardless of cable brand and length. hope this helps others trying to relocate the camera.
The USB extender line has to have data wires in it, not just power wires like for a USB power supply. And its gotta be 10 ghz or gbps or higher speed or something which carries more data. Spend a little more get the good one.

Very helpful for people that don't have high wall mounted TV. For met his is completely useless because my TV is mounted on the wall directly above my fireplace... But idc about the camera, it's worth considering how dope it looks with all the lights popping out.
Where do you get the best videos to test the t2 ?
You bring me the choice to buy Govee T2. I am in doubt about this product because I don't wanna setting on the top. But it seems work! Thx.
Does the wall panel make it better ?
Did you ever figure out this issue?
And what if you have a LG C1 tv with a samsung Q990B soundbar and only have 4 cm distance space total? Change your tv cabinet?
I personally like the camera to show...it gives a tech touch to ur home
Amazing as always ❤ professional and quality 👏
I appreciate it!
How far away from the TV can the tabletop be? Does it have to be close to see the screen?
GREAT content as always brother. Any suggestions for hiding a camera for a TV not mounted ? Much ❤
Dude you're amazing keep up the good work
Is this better and more accurate than the Philips Hue Sync box though?? I heard Philips Hue Sync box is much better and more accurate not worried about price worried about quality and accuracy! Cool videos btw!
Love your videos. Are you doing any on your sound bar or surround sound?
@ 9:50 you’re saying that you need to turn your phone upside down again.
But this will mess up your calibration.
The camera is looking from the button, so you want to select the red square opposite from the camera. Furthest away, cause the normal way you need to put the red dot on the bottom square. Which also would be the furthest away.
I did it your way, and it took me 30 to figure out what was wrong.
Thanks for the great video, do you think this could work with a projector screen mounted up from below the screen just like in your vid?
Where do you get the visuals from?
Is calibrating is anyway possible without the govee subscription?
Hey man, calibrating does not require any subscriptions
Yo Tek, Why do you have 2 control boxes?
i wanna run strip on my 55" Hisense TV and another kinda setup on my ultrawide Monitor on my PC so i'm wondering what i should get. Any suggestions?
Great video. Your presentations are top notch. 👍
Hello, can I use this light strip with a 43 inch tv?
How did you get to the zone setup? Where is that on the App?
Hey man, the zone set up is within the Dreamview tab within the app. Dreamview allows you to sync other Govee products with the primary TV backlight.
Maybe I'm missing something I'm trying to find the video where you show how you set up two T1 cameras and I just cannot find that I've seen in other videos that before you got the t2 you were using 2t1 cameras together in conjunction and I'm hoping to do that for now since I also have to I just cannot find any information in your videos showing how you did the two cameras together
that's brilliant, I'm getting a set and that's exactly what I'm going to do now. I have a perfect idea. THANK YOU SO MUCH..!!
Glad I could help!
I was thinking of upgrading to this from the T1 but I’m hoping that Govee will make bigger version of the G1 Pro Gaming version. Do you think there will be a G2 for 65”+?
It just seems that rounded light strip of the G1 is superior?
I'm on the fence. But how much better than what we have is what I wanna know
Hey, thank you for all of your videos about govee light kits, they helped me a lot to understand them a bit better, tho I got a bit confused as I decide to change my 34" desktop monitor to an LG c2 42" and tryed to figured out which light kit would be the best for that size.... or which would be the best tech wise... seems the g1 pro kit is the best as you mantioned in an older video. But if you don't mind, can you confirm that to me, or you have any better tip or kit which I should pick instead? (Thank you again, and sorry for my English, hope you understand me.)
Can this method applied on T1?
Thanks This may make it possible to use it as I only have 30mm between tv and wall (as it hangs like a picture ) so no space for a camera even if I would put up with a top mount 😁
Dude you're awesome!! Great video!! Definitely doing this🤘🏾🤘🏾🤛🏾🤛🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
I think you had said in another video that govee isnt making a dual control box for the t2 and 15" light bars ?
