      If Stone Cold indeed wanna hug Vince, he would follow it up with a Stunner and have a beer bash while flipping off an unconscious Vince McMahon.
      “Vince, you’re one dumb SOB! Ya think I’m gonna be kissin yer ass, huh? Uh uh! I ain’t gonna be yer lackey or a corporate sellout! I said that I’m gonna be doing whatever it takes to win but it doesn’t involve being a kisass to ya! I just used ya, you dumbass, and I played ya like a fiddle! If ya wanna see Stone Cold raise hell and whoop Vince’s ass, give me a hell ya!”

    Could the Austin Booker T feud have been stretched out resulting in a match at WrestleMania X8. I think it would have been a lot better than what either guy ended up doing at WrestleMania that year.

    • @WeAreProWrestling
      @WeAreProWrestling  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It would have been better & they could have done it
      But they would have had to restructure the entire program between the 2 to make it a big time match at a Wrestlemania

    The thing about when Austin attacked Michael Cole, they thought that would get heat on Austin, instead, fans cheered Austin and asked him to beat up Cole some more. Yeah, not the response WWE was expecting. 😂🤣

    • @WeAreProWrestling
      @WeAreProWrestling  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Trying to get heel heat by beating up Michael Cole never worked
      They tried that with JR berating him & kicking him in the balls in 1999 and JR got cheered for that

      I think we all knew it was gonna be Triple H as the mastermind; it should have just been him from the start. The fact they made it so convoluted lends to fact they had no clue who they were gonna have from the start & booked this on the fly

    The only thing I wished happened at WM 17 was for Austin to stun Vince after the handshake and wasn’t the original plan for SS 01 was HHH/Austin who would have been the face and heel between those two?

    • @WeAreProWrestling
      @WeAreProWrestling  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Austin has said if he had a do over he would have stunned Vince at X-Seven
      And by all accounts it was gonna be Austin/HHH at Summerslam 01; Austin the heel, HHH the face

    The worst period in Austins career was definitely from November 2001, to his walkout in June 2002. He basically accomplished nothing major during this time, and he had already walked out once in right after Wrestlemania XVIII.

    • @WeAreProWrestling
      @WeAreProWrestling  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This was Austin when he was starting to break down; you could tell something wasn't right
      And as a character he never recovered after his heel runs

    Stone Cold's WWF/WWE run is in the discussion of the best runs in company's history. 1997-1999 is the best run of Stone Cold's career. Most of his best matches, promos, and moments happened during that 1997-1999 run.

    In my opinion there should been a double turn between Undertaker and Austin after Survivor Series.

    • @WeAreProWrestling
      @WeAreProWrestling  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In 2001? Because there sort of was a Double Turn after that show
      Austin went back face the night after & in the weeks after the show Taker went heel

    The one major thing I and most can’t stand about Vince McMahon is his inability to accept any blame for anything that goes wrong with his company. Even the XFL you know he’ll dump the blame on someone else.

    When Rikishi claimed he did it for The Rock, I'm curious if that was meant to launch the build towards the WM Match unless it was improved for him to say so after the initial reveal bombed.

    • @WeAreProWrestling
      @WeAreProWrestling  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The whole "I did it for The Rock" thing was to waste time before revealing it was Triple H the entire time

    • @ThunderForce2000
      @ThunderForce2000 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      And now whenever there’s a storyline involving a mystery attacker, everyone says ‘Rikishi did it for The Rock’.

      The whole thing of Triple H running over Stone Cold is like a Mafia hit orchestrated by Helmsley to steal the spotlight from him and make sure that Austin won’t be a threat to his plans to dominate the WWE

    In a perfect world, had his heel turn not taken place, how would stone cold's 2001 gone from WrestleMania to Survivor Series?

    • @WeAreProWrestling
      @WeAreProWrestling  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      In a real perfect world, Austin is leading the WWF against the WCW in a real Invasion angle; not that Invasion we ended up getting

  • @savagedarksider5934

    I hate Austin's character in 2001; They really should have done Austin vs Hogan.

    • @WeAreProWrestling
      @WeAreProWrestling  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Had they done a proper Invasion Angle the perfect culmination would have been Austin vs. Hogan
      Austin as a character was so damaged in 2001 that he never recovered

    I’d have to say the match at No Way Out 2001 between Austin and HHH was one of my favorite matches of that year without a doubt, even though his heel run for the most part did not get over but his work and promos I enjoyed most. Do you think Stone Cold should of won the undisputed title at Vengeance if Kurt wasn’t the original choice?

    • @WeAreProWrestling
      @WeAreProWrestling  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I thought they were either gonna go Austin or Rock as the 1st Undisputed Champion; for sure thought that was gonna be the match at Vengeance

  • @ThunderForce2000

    One major thing I really hated about Austin’s heel turn was him tapping out to submission holds. So the guy who passed out in the sharpshooter in a bloody mess is now tapping out?
