Thanks for your question. If you are not concerned about built in mapping then the Strikers are a great solution for many anglers. Does it take Nav+ cards?
Thank you for your question. No, the STRIKER fishfinder series does not accept nav charts of any form. You would need to move up to one of our chartplotters to have that ability.
Is this possible to use in the sea?
On land only 😅
Hello. Will there be an update for garmin ehomap plus with striker vivid color palette?
Thank you for your question. No, the EchoMap Plus units will not have the vivid color palette.
I'm on my way to get the 7 sv.
I am interested in maps. Does this come with maps? What's the difference between Vivid 4cv and Echomap plus 45 CV??
Thank you for your questions. The Striker units are fishfinders, and do not have mapping. However, the Striker Vivid's do have Quickdraw capabilities allowing you to create your own maps with 1-foot contours. The ECHOMAP series are chartplotter/fishfinder combos that come preloaded with mapping. The 45cv specifically is preloaded with Canada LakeVu G3 mapping.
Any idea when they will be available in Canada? Looking at the 7SV specifically, (would love the 9SV but...) for Christmas hopefully !
It’s available now - some Canadian dealers already have it online. Let me know your area and I may be able to recommend a local dealer.

@@alsrantz269 Paddletales could order it for you. SAIL and Cabela’s likely will wait until Spring before they show new items, but they will both offer this model. You could order online through many dealers like KBM Outdoors, Radioworld, GPS Central and more.
Can this be used on a industrial fishing vessel? High seas use ?
Thank you for your question. For that type of application, we would typically recommend going with a GPSMAP series unit.
How much is the prize
Does it actually somehow differentiate fish by size ?
Thank you for your question. The arches or fish symbols that you see on the fish finder may be different sizes. However, the speed of the boat or if anchored the speed of the fish going through the cone will have an affect on the shape and size of the fish arch. The size of the fish arch does not always represent the size of the fish.
Что нового?Вайфай,рисовалка сразу в цвет и актив капитан.Что ещё?
Наверное все)))хахааха добавили цветовые гаммы)
is there screen cover ?
Thank you for your question. While the Striker series does not come with screen covers, we offer them as an accessory.
Around the 5:00 mark he mentions an ice fishing kit, is this any different than the current 5cv ice fishing kit? does it have the Vivid? Thanks!!
Thank you for your question. The ice fishing bundles come with a Striker Plus unit, not the Striker Vivid. We do however offer an ice fishing kit that is compatible with the Striker Vivid. It comes with the bag, rechargeable battery, and ice fishing transducer........buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/p/636254/pn/010-12462-10#inTheBox. I hope this helps.
Someone help me...I have three lakes I've mapped out with the quick contour. I have my way points on my active captain, but my depth contours aren't showing (even with I have the fishing map enabled). When I switch to the community charts, I can see people who have contributed and see their contours.
Scratching my head with this one..
I think you need to zoom in on the screen.
I have the same problem, I have zoomed in to 20ft but can only see my waypoints but not my depth contours, how did you sort this, please don't tell me I have to map the lakes again

Can the cv5 do the same work as the cv7?
Thank you for your question. The only differences between the STRIKER Vivid 5cv and 7cv is the larger screen size and Wi-fi capabilities on the 7cv. Wi-fi allows you to connect to the ActiveCaptain app to transfer waypoints, receive smart notifications and access the Garmin Quickdraw Community. I hope this helps.
What battery do I use on the vivid 9sv ¿
Thank you for your question. The input voltage on the STRIKER Vivid is 12v to 20v DC. So, you can use a standard 12v lead-acid boat battery, or you can use a 12v portable battery that is included in our Large Portable Ice Fishing Kit. buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/p/pn/010-12676-00#devices. I hope this helps.
Would it be capable to use panoptix with the vivid 9sv?? @garmin
Thank you for your question. The Striker series is not compatible with Panoptix.
@@GarminRetailTraining so the striker series is not livescope compatible?
@@dannygreen6145 Correct.

I have a garmin on one boat and a simrad on the other. Simrad all day long.
When can I get this in Australia?
I’ve already got one!
Where did you get yours from Simon?. I was after the 7sv model
@@johngreer4220 hey John, it was ordered from some marine joint in Melbourne. The Mrs actually bought it for me so not sure where exactly it came from. But they also have them at BCF.
How deep this can read?
Great info! Thx
What a GREAT host!!!!
Thank you ma’am
Needs an chart not a make as you go maps
Nr#1 ... The Garmin Striker 5cv is "NOT" a superior gps unit. Hummingbird "IS"
Nr#2 ... While boating on a inland waterway with many twists and turns a "Chartplotter" is absolutely needed to safely navigate back to the boat dock especially after dark. Hummingbirds gps does that exact thing. Garmin Striker 5cv is an outstanding unit for what it does but the Navigation feature is lacking.
Do you need cell phone service or wifi for the gps and draw contour to work ? I cannot get mine to work !
Really helpful, thanks!
Just used the 9sv today setting was very difficult as we have deap sea more than 500m
Hi, can striker vivid series be used in salt water?
Thank you for your question. Yes, the Striker Vivid can be used in salt water.
Mine came with no bail mount, that's bullshit
Sorry to hear about this issue. Please reach out to our Product Support Team at 800-800-1020 for assistance. They will be happy to help.
This looks confusing af why can't they make it look like this maps
Is there a way to download maps?
Thank you for your question. You cannot download maps to the Striker series fish finders. The Striker units do have the Quickdraw Contours feature that allows you to create and store up to 2 million acres of the bottom with 1' contours. If you want/need mapping, you would want to look at our EchoMap or GPSMap chart plotters.
👍
Garmin STRIKER Vivid 9sv Fish Finder so many bad reviews was going to order but i'll pass ...hope there not like a trolling motor there all junk these days
Geeez did he say GPS ? Isn't that the module that costs a mere of 1$ Garmin still trying to excite everyone specially low end units and their potential buyers with such crap and old hardware. Yawn everyone move on to different brands with much better hardware and cheaper price tags .... Ooh by the way UHD2 units are completely stripped from their HW compare to the previous UHD Units.
No panoptix, no thanks.
Not intuitive, my 15 yr old standard horizon is easier to use than this "gps"
What an overpriced so called gps.
THAT WAS WORTHLESS
