  • Hello and welcome back
In this episode I get busy with the welder and metal folder!
The drivers RH door continues to amuse and irritate in equal amounts.
Projects like this are like eating an elephant! How exactly do you eat an elephant? One bite at the time, and you will get there
My "original" brief is to sort the running gear, axles and brakes. Then the car will move onto another specialist for bodywork.
    Enjoy

'Christ!' - said in the style of the much lamented Jethro. That really was a mission, your mention of Triggers broom sums it up nicely. Great work though!

Praise the day when somebody gets tooled up to make range rover door frames.😁.
One hell of a lot of work to get it repaired.I can see a day when Range Rovers will go for scrap because of the costs involved in repairing doors.☹️

Did you see the Frankenstein job on the original passenger door of this car 😲🙈
I know of a couple of folk making up the bottom sections of the shell as a repair section. prices need to come down a lot though

@@churchhouseclassics yes Richard I did see the Frankenstein job.the person who did it should take up pottery as he is obviously a dab hand with making things out of paper mache and filler😂.
You say you have spent 6 hours so far on the repairs so if the repair section was £150 and your hourly rate was £15 it's a no brainer and that would free you up to do something else which isn't such a faff.
Keep up the good work and keep the videos coming, they are more entertaining than watching the two candidates for UK prime minister waffling away.
If their noses get any longer they won't be able to get in to number 10.
      😁😁😁

How to remove the perforations from a teabag snd loose your sanity. 🤣

    • @churchhouseclassics
      @churchhouseclassics  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

you have to cut out the tea bag first, some perforations are localised and cannot be dented further by Mr Tappy, they can be welded up else it is just a big load of welding and shaping steel

I think fixing that door in 6 hours is unbelievable. Congratulations on a job well done! What type of zip-wheel do you use? Cheers.

6 hours was to get rid of the rot, skin, prep and paint would probably double that figure.
zip / knot wheels I use are these bad boys www.screwfix.com/p/norton-twisted-knotted-wire-wheel-115mm/539jf
      wear protection
