I feel Anurag's work is like any famous painting or shayari, the context elevates the art so much
KHOSLA KA GHOSLA got remade in Tamil, along with A Wednesday!, both directed by first-time directors under UTV
The beauty of Boman Irani’s character is he appears for hardly 4-5 scenes in the film. But the build up and his performance kind of made him omnipresent.
The low angle shots also contributed to this! ;)

Theory : Boman Irani’s character was actually Anupam Kher’s friend and they hatched this plan together so that the son would get involved and drop his plan of going to America.

Khosla ka Ghosla is not just a movie. It’s a cinema SI unit you compare other movies to. Standards don’t age they are eternal.
Guys…Please do 99 movie (released in 2009) episode, has it aged well starring Kunal Khemu, Boman Irani, Cyrus Brocha, Late. Amit Mistry
You should watch Hey Ram and talk about every character and the technicalities that were done in the movie. Hopefully invite a Tamil Kamal fan and talk about it.

TVF's Sapne vs Everyone is a nice companion piece to KKG. It has a Khurana like villain and a similar scam at the end.
In response to Abbas 24:30 ... Lol I did my undergrad from America and honestly it set me up on a better path to success than simply coming in to do my masters would have.
I had work experience from United States before I started my master's and that gave my career the right positioning post my masters.

Every movie is for specific audience taste. And every movie requires some prior knowledge or homework. That is a given.
Some movies might require more than others.
The same is the analogy for comedy.
Different types of audience knowing different things will appreciate comedians differently. Thats how things work.
So in the comparison of Dibakar or Anurag, Dibakars movie requires less homework than Anurags. That's okay.
Since you are on the film critics side, you are supposed to do the homework and then watch the movies. And then judge the movies accordingly.
An audience can tell movies are good or bad or filmmaker is good or bad based on prior knowledge required.
Critics need to do the homework to better opine on the movie. 😊
