The only two reasons a person who buys a Laser Projector has is first the feeling of being in a cinema and second his/er naughty children or pet might break or scratch the possible expensive OLED tv! 😅

I bought one in China last year. It was a great purchase, as we were going to be in lockdown for a while. It was convenient and easy to use, although I would have preferred more options for adjusting picture and sound. However, after a year, it suddenly developed a nasty blue-green hue over everything, and Xiaomi have no idea how to fix it. Still waiting to see if they will offer a replacement or if it just has to be trashed. Also, it says it supports 3D, but it really doesn't. The 3D picture is so dim and green-tinted as to make it unwatchable.
I hope others have had better luck with this machine.

@@ronitmahawar1193 Update: I did ask for a replacement, because they tried and failed several times to fix it. They no longer sell the old model, so they gave me a the new one. No extra charge. Even though it was technically out of warranty - the first time they tried to fix it, they actually made it much worse, so in the end, it was fair and I'm happy with the new model. The 3D on the new one is much better, to the extent that I suspect it was a major bug in the first model.

I bought the earlier model white one some 4 years ago from China, was very happy with it. Amazing piece of kit if used correctly (screen or good wall, lighting). Sharp, vivid, great sound, truly a cinematic experience at home. Unfortunately it seems the power unit has given up the ghost and I cannot seem to fix it now. Probably will buy the new black model as replacement. Doing my research now. DO NOT LOSE OR MISPLACE THE REMOTE! There is no power on switch on the unit. < That'd probably be the only downside.

Launch your firestick, press the 3 horizontal lines button, a pop menu appears from the left, and in the 3 option, select hdmi 2.0.

Digital geometry correction inherently reduces image quality, unless the electronics are controlling the glass elements. Nromal digital geometry does nothing more than distort the digital image.
For day time viewing, a darker screen would be better. Darker screens are a good option for most projectors, as long as the image remains bright enough - the darker screen darkens everything, so the 'black' areas are closer to black.

Hello, i have received this projector and i have image distortion on top (image waves and you can see it only when camera pans left right or right left) and also side wheel buttons on projector dont work... ive seen you also have similar image distortion on top seen on football scene .. but do your side buttons on projector work ?

The distortion would be due to unevenness in your wall/projection surface.

sorry, big problems with the geometry of the image, especially in the upper parts of the image, strange colors and the lack of advanced image settings, total lack of sound settings, and to make matters worse, the "squeak" of the device drilling into the brain during operation. Maybe it's just my copy, but I'm just filling in the return form ...: /

Standard way to measure noise is ALWAYS measure it 1 meter away. All noise will dissipate with distance and only way to correctly and comparably measure is to measure it always 1 meter away. Those measurements you made were really useless.

if their products were "fake" why do they sell more phones than Apple even though they? 1. Only has 17000 employees and 2. Only started 11 years ago. Xiaomi is a trusted company that gives you high-quality products for way cheaper than the competition.
