    i wish she would be more confident in her use of 5th octave belts, she sounds good af and even though she had a ‘decline’ she’s steadily improving imo

      She's definetly improving! Just the fact she's consistently belting E5's, is like wow (and even one F5), since she basically didn't had those notes live on the past years

    The Down C5s were good, but I don’t think they were supported. Her national anthem C5s might be supported, the Bb4s definitely are, that’s probably the cleanest I’ve heard her belt in recent times.
    Also, I think she did go through a vocal decline while in Fifth Harmony (around 2015-2017) because I remember seeing clips of her singing I’m in love with a Monster in 2015 and Impossible in 2017, and in both, she hardcore struggled to hit the C#5s. However, I think this year because of quarantine she has been resting her voice more. I heard her singing Expectations and her voice sounded pretty similar to the X factor days!

    • @popvocalstv
      @popvocalstv  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I'm almost sure she supported the first C5 of Down, and she has very clean B4's on Expectations btw

    • @popvocalstv
      @popvocalstv  3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      She had a vocal decline for sure, but someople say she fucked up her voice, and I don't think that's true, the only register that we can say she declined for sure was the falsetto/hv, but her lows got better and her belts didn't declined at all, just like the ease, or the strain that it's more evident, but her range didn't changed at all

    • @vocalising4218
      @vocalising4218 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@popvocalstv I felt her Down C5 had tension so could not be supported. I agree, her Expectations B4s are much better these days, some of them are probably supported.
      She did have a vocal decline, and not just in her falsetto / HV register, it was also in her mixed voice. There was a time when she was straining to hit A4s, which is not high at all for her as a soprano. And basically all her fifth octave notes were throaty. Check out performances in 2015-2017 to see what I mean.

    You got to look at it this way when she was in fifth harmony she was expected to fullfill a certain role and play her part. Just like the others, they all can sing in there own rights and have there own areas they excel in. Thats the main reason you didnt see her doing it or being able to do it as efficiently or effortlessly as she possibly could, but now with them all being solo she can explore music and her vocals and see what she likes to do and doesn't. Yea i wish she would've shown off her upper register more but it didnt happen. Now i can fully see her talent with her new music and her getting her confidence in herself back and being over all mentally and physically more happy and confident with what shes doing. Not saying she hated Fifth Harmony but you have to think about it being put in a group when you originally wanted to make solo music it wasnt what she or any of the other girls had planned but it was a stepping stone to now and look at all the growth they've all made and i cant be anything but supportive and proud of all the music they put out. I support them all and what music they make now.
