I prefer Perrie but I think they’re fairly equal in different ways. Christinas lows, agility, and head voice/falsetto seems to be superior to Perrie’s,but I think Perrie shines more in the belts and I think she just has a healthier way of approaching singing in general. Both are different but great singers. Maybe Perrie edges it out for me,but that doesn’t mean Christina isn’t really good. Just depends on if you like a more polished vocalist vs a more rough but equally compelling one
@moonlightespt1946 well, I'm not an expert, but I believe so actually. I'm talking about belting techniques specifically. You see, Christina is very well known for her raspy and growled vocals that she does all the time. That's very risky and can lead to vocal damage. She also tends to pull chest voice all the way up to those crazy high notes (E5/F5 and above). That's a bad technique, using mixed voice is the best choice. Also, most of the time, her belting is kinda forced/pushed. Sometimes, she sounds a bit throaty when belting because of the poor technique she's using, especially on higher notes. Perrie on the other hand does none of that. So, that's why I said Perrie uses proper techniques for singing, but Christina... Not so much. I respect your opinion too. After all, we can't deny that Christina is a vocal powerhouse and she's been a music icon for years. ❤️
@moonlightespt1946 you don't have to apologize at all. You're just trying to prove your point here by giving accurate and logical arguments, and I totally respect that. You're clearly very educated and experienced in this field and know a lot more than I do. So, it's literally not up to debate! 😂 You actually convinced me, well done! 👏 Have a great day/night! 💕
@moonlightespt1946 Well Perry has a better vibrato, consistency and her tehcnique as a whole is healthy in every aspect of her vocals. Xtina’s belting technique issue is a huge step back for her when it comes to VS battles.
I love Xtina's tone when she doesn't over do it. Lows: Perrie Mid Belts: Tie (I'm going with Xtina's more recent belts for that conclusion, Perrie has a slight edge though) Upper Belts: Perrie, she's more consistent imo. But Xtina's recent attempts are surprisingly good, less strained than a few years ago. Upper Register: tie, both are amazing. Perrie has, generally, a more classical sound and Christina is more contemporary, but the ease and healthy sound is there for both of them. Overall, Perrie wins for me, but not by that much. Lows were the deciding factor.
Lows: Christina Mid belts: Tie Upper belts: Perrie Head voice: Perrie Overall they’re actually very close in terms of technique. Christina just supports a lot lower (down to E3) and Perrie has a more developed head voice, and is more free in upper belts. Also on the mid belts Perrie uses a more open “resonant” sound and Christina uses more (intentional) distortion but the support quality is actually about the same up to C#5/D5.
@@josivantorres2218 False information spread by Kpop fans. The same fans that said Ariana only supported up to B4 and Adele only supports up to A4 and is an “average” vocalist. I think you have one of the best vocals accounts out rn. ❤ They're surprisingly close looking at their techniques. Christina was better in the lows, but Perrie did really well, too. I think overall, Perrie beat Christina in the belts because of the upper belts, but they were very close up till and including the eb5 (although I know theres gonna be people in the comments confusing distortion/drive with strain as there always is). It's surprised me, tbh and Christina, gave Perrie a good run for her money on the E5s and wasn't too far off her on the F5s and one or two f#5's either. Head voice/falsetto I have to give to Christina, overall she was more stable, had more freedom in the notes, a better tonal quality and more able to manouver around this register than Perrie although Perrie also did very well. I think even though I'm leaning slightly more towards Christina's technique overall, I do think they are very close, so I can see much of people's decisions in this being determined by who they prefer and then trying to justify by amplifying small differences or exaggerating flaws. In other words, it's a good way to see if you have more little mix fans or Xtina fans following your channel, lol.
She tries to act like a Mezzo & idk why. She is clearly a very high set Soprano but she sacrifices ease for a chesty powerful tone when she could just blend it together 😩

Perrie's voice has less tension, however, even though Xtina has some atrocious moments, atleast she can project hard. Perrie's tone isn't nearly as interesting as Xtina's.
Both have similar tones which is really pretty and thick. I think perries got lighter over the years compared to most of these old clips but still has some darkness imo. Now they both have annoying habits like over singing and just being over the top dragging out certain high notes and it just kinda ruins the song FOR ME and it’s like ok we get it you can hold your breath for a long time now relax 😅 they also put damage on their vocals doing all those unnecessary vocal holds and extensions but they are still really good vocalist. Now who is better I think Christina is. I’ve listened to here since the late 90’s early 2000’s and she just has not only a powerful voice but she can do more than just high notes. She can do many styles of singing and she is just iconic. I know many will come here and say perrie is better but I’m sorry she has to show me more in her solo career to surpass christina and what she did in little mix was great but the real showing will be by herself, people said she was held back in the group? Ok let’s see it.

@@dv96_dk what???Perrie is an amazing singer too...just like christina...so what?!!
@@dv96_dk you’re right. Perrie isn’t close to Christina cause Perrie is faaarrr better
Ok let’s see it.
both are still better than leighanne 🥰
@@wisqo2461 if you say so
@@AlwaysLM2011 just the truth
@@wisqo2461 if you say so
Both body leighannes weak bland vocals
The fact there are actual people who thinks Perrie is better than Christina is just insane 💀
cause technically she is better than Xtina, xtinas great Perries just a better vocalist
@@milkyteawithbiscuits3555 “technically” doesnt meant a thing in this debate. Christina can do a millions things perrie never could
@@dv96_dk just admit you know nothing about Perries vocal capabilities because h the girl can literally do everything only thing she doesn’t do is that grunt sound Christina auguilera does and I say this as a fan of both, Perrie just approaches her singing in a healthier approach doesn’t dismiss xtina’s prowess
@@dv96_dkit's a vocal battle..so technicality played a huge role in this debate!!!!🙄
@@dv96_dk if "tone" or "style" alone I would prefer Christina because she can do a lot of embellishments with her voice but Perrie's clearly the better vocalist here in technicality, note by note her delivery has more freedom and support from low to high.
