Thank you :) Ohoh, it actually wasn't that easy 🤭 I had to look at my phone a lot to navigate the pathless sections and after the eighth day, one of my knees started to ache due to the strain and difficult terrain.. That is what the pictures don't tell 🙈 It was a great experience though anyway, will start working on part 2 soon ☺🌻
Really enjoyed your vid...lucky you with the weather...I hope this May is like last year so I can do the cape wrath and wear 😎 🕶. Happy adventures out there
@@hanry7 yes. Lots of wind and rain. Really enjoyed it. Stopped off on the way and did the 5 sisters of kintail...The best hike I've done.. Thks for asking. Take care 🙂
Excellent and thoroughly enjoyed watching. Loved the scenery and the fact so much was said without a word. Brilliant really looking forward to part 2. Big thumbs up and thanks for taking us all along and well done thus far. Atb Dave aka wackyswanderings
@@hanry7 Hi Hanry, I did it over 2 years 2009 and 2010. Just off for an overnight in the Peak District today. The weather is looking fair and want to try and get in more training for my continuing of the Cambrian Way this year. Kind regards.
@@hanry7 I've done it twice. First time my tent got a bit smashed up in a storm so i missed 30 miles or so and finished using bothies and broken tent. Second time I had to road walk a lot due to snow storms (at the end of May!). So I maybe doing it a third time next year. I would recommend Hebridean Way too if you haven't done that. Finally want to thanks for your video on what hiking means to you , it has done much the same for me.
@@OldStag72 That's so nice, I hope that the third time will be without any issues for you though 🍀 I later did some road walking too, from Inchnadamph to Kylesku, because one of my knees was causing pain. But it's still been great, and everyone chooses their own Cape Wrath Trail anyway ✌ which year was it that you had the snow storms? Thank you, I will look into the Hebridean Way 🏞 I'm glad to hear that you like that other video!
@@OldStag72 ohoh, I encountered snow on the Southern Upland Way in April 2018 and already thought that was very late ❄getting to the lighthouse somehow is the main thing anyway 👍
Hi Darren, thank you 😊 I am sorry about this late reply! There definitely were quite a lot of ticks along the way and I sometimes removed a few from my tent when I spotted them. But when I saw any on my skin, I could always just brush them off, none of them ever really bit me. It definitely is important to be careful about them though, to check your legs regularly if you wear shorts and to possibly apply some insect repellant that protects against ticks as well 😌
Beautiful trails Hanry! Fully watched and subscribed! Glad to find other running channels like mine so that we can learn from each other and grow our channels together! ✌️
Epic trip I completed it 2019 brought back fantastic memories. Great video well done. Memories in the bank trips like this last a lifetime.

Thank you, Dave 😇 it's been a pleasure taking you along - editing all the videos took me back to the trail as well 🌟
Great to follow another of your adventures in Scotland, looking forward to Part 2.
Thank you, Kevin 🏞
Enjoyed this 👍
That's a great route you did, the scenery is absolutely spot on! Good to see you got some decent weather along the way 👍
Thank you for your comment 🌞 yes, most days were nice and sunny, in the second part too 🤭
So many forums about whether or not to wear boots or trail runners, and there you are doing the CWT in sandals 😂 (some of the way anyway). Impressive.
Very enjoyable and love CWT vids having done it myself too.
Cheers
Thank you, Dave! I have just had a look at your videos. When did you do the CWT though? :)

My favourite trail , thanks for sharing your experience of it. You put in some big days!
Hi, you're welcome :) did you walk it yourself? 🌾 Yes, days 7 and 8 were quite long I think 🙊
