    Awesome video!
    I was diagnosed with having an impingement years ago after repetitive kicks in Martial arts. My impinged hip has a significantly weaker glute on that side.

    You are the reason my glutes are no longer imbalanced i can feel my right glute activating instead of my hamstring when doing glute exercises.

    Hi, I love your videos on hip impingement. They have helped me eliminate pain in my hips. One thing I noticed I can't do is stretch my hip flexors because it hurts. It's sort of a pinching pain. In one of your videos, you said that that stretch would cause pain due to anterior femoral glide. When, then, can I start stretching my hip flexors? They are really tight! Thank you!

    How often should you do these exercises

    I’m getting surgery soon to address the poor bone structure of the femoral head, which likely caused the labral tears in my hip. I’ve tried strengthening my glutes and core to no avail. Hopefully after my surgery, these exercises will help with my rehabilitation. Great video 👍

      I’m in the same boat. No surgery though I opted out 7 years ago because I couldn’t afford the time off in my early 20’s. I hope you get good results. I think I’ll just wait for my double hip replacement in my 40’s 🤣

    Blake, when training the external rotation of the hip, wouldn't we want the band anchored on the opposing side, so that we're exerting our hip into external rotation from internal rotation, versus just letting the band pull it into that movement?

    • @GuerrillazenFitness
      @GuerrillazenFitness  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Good question, but no...we are trying to pull the femoral head out laterally the whole time with this

    Literally worked on all this and fixed a problem I’ve been having since deadlifting in 2019….2019 and just corrected it in 2023! My deadlifts were able to get up to 685 but had to stop because my hip joint was too impinged because of my hamstring was overpowering. Thanks!

    Hey Blake have you ever had pain at the lower part of your ribs on the side? I've never experienced this pain before and it's messed up my entire posture and completely sidelined my workouts.

    • @cavelleardiel
      @cavelleardiel 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I hope you don/t mind me answering from my experience of pain because I couldn't figure out what was happening either. It turns out one of my ribs would pop out of place and I could actually pop it back in on my own. My thoracic spine was locked up and the muscles under my armpit were tight. I was recovering from my FIRST frozen shoulder. I finally got orthotics to help me and had my neck and jaw muscles massaged by an RMT. I was so out of balance it was crazy!

    Thanks for this video. Is it possible to have the opposite issue, where the hamstring is weak but glutes are strong? Could that also cause impingement? I like to run, and I know that weak hamstrings are fairly common in runners.

    Very intersting video, as always, thank you. I just have one question, isn't it a bit counter productive to go into full PPT at the top of a hip thrust?

    It's true that you rarely hear about synergistic dominance. Thanks for introducing us to the concept.
