When the Blue Jackets drafted him 3rd overall in 2016 it caught the Canucks off guard. He was the guy they wanted to draft. They didn't expect the Blue Jackets to take him. They panicked. jumped to plan B and took Olli Juolevi.

Tbh Juolevi was rated by many scouts as the top Dman (check out the scouting report on Elite Prospects, you would want to draft him yourself), he looked very good at the U20, captain of the team, etc. Turned out very much like when the Bruins drafted Zboril.

Tbh Juolevi was rated by many scouts as the top Dman (check out the scouting report on Elite Prospects, you would want to draft him yourself), he looked very good at the U20, captain of the team, etc. Turned out very much like when the Bruins drafted Zboril.
PLD is way overpaid. I wonder if he will be happy eventually. He does have potential and skill but hasn't shown anything yet. 8.5 million a season for a 16 goal scorer is a rip off.
