    I ride this trail all the time. I just got a new santa cruz tallboy and it's even better! White ghost is my favorite even with the climb that's way easier now on the new bike.

    10:29, that green bike is still here! I live right next to Glacier Ridge and ride there all the time, and I passed that green bike but this time it is destroyed and bent inbetween two trees. about 3-4 years since this was posted, crazy!

    It's funny that when I lived near there, NO ONE mentioned Glacier Ridge to me once. Now that I've moved an hour or so away people constantly say "oh yeah, you should try out Glacier Ridge."

    Gimbal footage looks awesome. EVO works really well with the Hero4. Nice video!

      +MTB-AC thank you!

    • @mtb-ac3491
      @mtb-ac3491 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      BTW - I picked up a Hero4 to pair up with the EVO. The EVO and the Hero5 don't play well together. And I need to keep the EVO for longer ride videos - like group rides or on trips. The external battery functionality is crucial.

    • @TheCranemeister
      @TheCranemeister  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +MTB-AC nice. Why didnt the hero 5 work well with the evo? Did you get the adaptor for the hero 5?

    • @mtb-ac3491
      @mtb-ac3491 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Got the adapter. Got the J mount. Made sure the mount was on tight using the GoPro tool. Crossed all the T's and dotted all the I's.
      Couldn't figure out why my videos were shaky and not smooth at all. Most of the trail videos I watch on TH-cam are made using the EVO.......and coincidentally the Hero4. Did some reading on reviews that specified the use of the Hero5.
      It seems that the heavier Hero5 and where it holds its weight in relation to the Hero4 is the reason for the poor performance. "When used with the Hero 5 black the balance is way off, there needs to be a heavier counterweight as it is clearly having to work to just keep the camera horizontal." - That was exactly my issue.
      I'm happy to keep the EVO to use exclusively with the Hero4. Having a backup GoPro never hurt anyone. When I was in Bentonville - I had to drive back to my hotel room on the last day of riding to charge the Karma because it couldn't do more than 2 hours of riding. That was such a bummer. Had I used the EVO, I could have just swapped the batteries and kept riding.

    So what do you think of your Pivot 429SL so far? - I love mine...it has made me a better rider, which is something I can say for only one, or maybe two, other bikes that I have owned in my life.

      +Rob haase Yes, I have a hero4 and a chesty. But the gimble is what makes the video so smooth and clear. Check out my video on my evo ss gimble.

    Not quite enough light for 60 fps, but good video. Thanks for sharing.

    • @TheCranemeister
      @TheCranemeister  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +11thWarrior I am new to this. 30 fps would have made the video brighter?

    • @TheSeanBampton
      @TheSeanBampton 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      In a round about way, yes. Which iso did you shoot at?

    • @TheCranemeister
      @TheCranemeister  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +11thWarrior I dont even touch those settings. I dont know enough. I have never used protune on my hero4 black. This was recorded in 1080 with 60fps and wide fov. The only reason I have ever touched the fps settings was incase I wanted to do a slomo clip. Ive never been into photography until i got my GoPro. I still have a lot to learn and appreciate any advice.
