6:13 thats a "radial" engine. a "rotory" engine is a ww1 configuration where the cylinders spin along with the prop to maximize P-factor for the more manurable airplanes like the dr1 triplane. Radial engines are static from the rotation of the prop.
It's why I stopped play gta 5, the only thing I did on there was fly around, but then I discovered War Thunder a more realistic game for aircraft, granted it has a 1.5x G load increase meaning a aircraft that could only handle 9G's can now handle almost 12G's yet some how has almost the same sustained turn rate only over performing by 1 or 3 degrees. Either way, the point is, GTA is the worst for flying around, id recommend war thunder if... IF, your on console, if your on xbox go for Microsoft Flight simulator, and if your on PC, you get War Thunder, Microsoft Flight Simulator and DCS (Digital Combat Simulator) so if your on pc play what you find most realistic.
Another miniscule but still noticeable pet peeve among GTA aviators is that NONE of the planes have pitot tubes. Even if they don't actually work, it would be nice to see them.

I’ve noticed the airspeed indicator is usually in the yellow arc even when throttles at idle, even when taking off It goes to the yellow right away, sometimes taxiing. when you pull the power the plane descends rapidly. Airliners today use glass cockpits. I have expectations for Gta6
From now on, you'll be thinking of me at some point during the making of your future intros, and when that happens allow me to remind you how good you are at this. Stay safe out there
You forgot to mention that the LearJet has rectangular windows. Not only is this inaccurate, but dangerous(remember the comet). Therefore, I propose an additional 50 points just for the windows
Absolutely love this video, I've been wanting something like this for so long! Coulda dinged the Learjer 45 for appearing to be a commercial aircraft versus it common use as a private or leased jet
What you are failing to understand here is that while the planes in game are based off of and bear a heavy resemblance to real planes, they are not meant to be accurate replicas
5:05, wrong, MiG-15 / MiG-17, the MiG-19 is twin engine and has its two cannons in the wing roots (and a 3rd one under the belly on specific variants). 6:52 this is more of a mix between the F-35 and the Su-75, hence the weird tail.
Biggest sins I’ve noticed in gta V is the instruments in first person… honestly they deserve their own video as a lot of planes are just straight up not visible, or in most business jets the attitude indicator doesn’t even function correctly, and in the vellum, the airspeed and vertical speed indicators are swapped… there are likely more as you go.
I'd love to see helicopter critiques, there are a lot of them. The Hind is all sorts of messed up. You get in on the wrong side, the pilot and gunner seats are swapped, and the livery (which you can't remove) is a United States one, despite it being a Soviet helicopter.
The rogue which you say is a pc-21 is actually a t-27 tucano. The cockpit is more sleek and conforms to the shape of the fuselage on the tucano rather than the pilatus, and the rudder is larger on the tucano just like the rouge.
This video critiques rockstar's aircraft to their IRL counterpart, ignoring stuff like creativeness or copyright.

5:05 based off of MiG 17, not 19
Trust me you wouldn't want that for Online players, although yes for the former !
I didn't even know that there are so many airplanes in GTA V. Very interesting to know your knowledge about airplanes and thank you bud.
7:17 Finally you said something rigth.
3:23 its Buran not space shuttle btw also the spaceplane part is called orbiter just so you know
Just a friendly reminder that Rockstar could not make aircrafts identical to their real life counterparts just like the cars, for example thats why the Vestra has 2 turbines, the Sea Breeze has 4 propeller blades and the Hydra has a rear engine so I wouldn't count as a sin
Nice video,Subscribed.
Better then those normal cinema sins type of video that never criticized subjects with real facts.
Keep it up
I think using "were finally landing" was a good choice
Feedback: Nice facts. Expected something else like AI pathing though. Audio needs improvement: I can barely hear you at times and the "shitty mic" moment was kinda the one where audio was very consistent 😅 so it was actually better to understand. My YT is at full volume and it feels to me like you are semi whispering.
5:05 this aircraft is based on the MiG-17 or MiG-15, as the MiG-19 has two engines rather than one and has a far longer fuselage.
3:56 the plane doesn’t have the two little fins under the main tail fin
almost the entire video video just boils down to "GTA planes are bad because they arent the spitting image of their IRL counterparts"
why waste everybodies time? you should have critiqued the planes on their own, i.e as you already said this cockpit is reused for all fighter jets or "this" isnt realistic for a plane of that size or "that" doesnt make sense for a plane to have or whatever
(sry 4 bad english)
Cope
6:13 thats a "radial" engine. a "rotory" engine is a ww1 configuration where the cylinders spin along with the prop to maximize P-factor for the more manurable airplanes like the dr1 triplane. Radial engines are static from the rotation of the prop.
as an aviation nerd, thank you, I always hated the way the GTA planes look.
The Cessna having a car door is insane
This was really detailed. I didn't even notice 90% of the stuff you mentioned 😂😂 I just use planes when I need to
Fun fact: All planes except biplanes have one wing!
4:39 What about the turret?
The An225 carried the Buran, not the space shuttle, if we're going to be nit picky about fictional aircraft.
The Beaver had a radial engine, not a rotary engine.
I have never seen half of these planes in this game .
again, i love the cinemasins style of critique and i wish more people used it. great work
The problem with the Alkonost is that the wings don't move.
The Hydra is more a mix of the F-35B & AV-8B
The video is 7:37. Boeing 737 reference?
pure coincidence lmao😅
@@SpidaMez xD
1:51 the 747 also doesnt have tilted gear
Don’t forget about the fact that the f16 cockpit has two sticks in game 😂
Epic! do a sandy shores video!
Can't wait for more once GTA 6 comes out
Another miniscule but still noticeable pet peeve among GTA aviators is that NONE of the planes have pitot tubes.
Even if they don't actually work, it would be nice to see them.
I just noticed that lol
3:42 this aircraft is based on a F-5/F-20 Tiger
Its a mix between the two. F5 has a single seat but two engines
@@SpidaMez the F-20 has 1 F-16 engine
definitely looks more like the L39
Imagine trying to escape the police or military if planes took off like real life planes in GTA 😂
Hopefully theyre better for gta6, you should do this with other categories like weapons, cars, brands, ect. New sub from me!
i remember one of the propeller planes like the one based on the p51 or something turned very strangely on the ground. it felt like the control wheel was in the front when it was actually in the back
You're wasting a fortune on missing rent by letting Rockstar live in your head rent free
Pretty cool videos, keep it up mate!
Thanks, will do!
I really like this, even tho you missed some planes like: stunt plane, nimbus, luxor, or those other stunt planes added in the smugglers dlc, that water landing VTOL and more, you really should make a sequel
Stay safe out there
You know its a video essay when home resonance comes on.
4:51 no, the crj is 2-2. The erj 145 is 1-2
You forgot to mention that the LearJet has rectangular windows. Not only is this inaccurate, but dangerous(remember the comet). Therefore, I propose an additional 50 points just for the windows
Absolutely love this video, I've been wanting something like this for so long!
Coulda dinged the Learjer 45 for appearing to be a commercial aircraft versus it common use as a private or leased jet
if you go inside, it looks like a private jet, so I assume its some charter company
4:10 looks more like it's based of the a-29 super tucano, still wrong prop bc the super tucano has 5 blades
What you are failing to understand here is that while the planes in game are based off of and bear a heavy resemblance to real planes, they are not meant to be accurate replicas
why is he shitting on an AN-124 for not being an AN-225
5:05, wrong, MiG-15 / MiG-17, the MiG-19 is twin engine and has its two cannons in the wing roots (and a 3rd one under the belly on specific variants).
6:52 this is more of a mix between the F-35 and the Su-75, hence the weird tail.
5:04 thats a MiG-15/17 with a MiG-19 horizontal stabilizer, but it doesn’t include the MiG-19 nose or twin engines
I liked the planes in GTA V so much that I became a pilot IRL, even chose the Cherokee since it's the closest thing I could get to a Velum lol
The weird thing about V's cargo plane is that it's significantly bigger than the An225.
I'd love to see helicopter critiques, there are a lot of them. The Hind is all sorts of messed up. You get in on the wrong side, the pilot and gunner seats are swapped, and the livery (which you can't remove) is a United States one, despite it being a Soviet helicopter.
fun fact: all planes with turbofan engines have a jet engine with afterburner inside, and you can only see it with mods.
4:59 i flew on a crj200 and that sits 2-2 now if it was a -700 or -900 it would sit 2-1 in first class.
The rogue which you say is a pc-21 is actually a t-27 tucano.
The cockpit is more sleek and conforms to the shape of the fuselage on the tucano rather than the pilatus, and the rudder is larger on the tucano just like the rouge.
