The one weird thing at 28:20 is that, in GTA IV that pick-up truck didn't exist. It was only accessible through the Lost and Damned story expansion. That means Rockstar had to either enable it through some form of trainer/debug console in GTA IV or spawned it in GTA TLAD and then switched the character model to Niko for some reason, strange 🤔
The lost and the damned and the ballad of gay Tony were originally conceived as part of the main games story before being turned into dlc 😊

Fun fact: ghost dog is actually also in the opening cinematic on the beach when Michael is leaving his psychiatrist's office. It runs by a sunbather and kicks sand onto her, causing her to sit up and stare at the dog.

For the Ghost dog part the location of the family death looks the same as when you first meet Dom which is weird. Maybe the spirit of the dogs wants to help people because it wasn't able to help its owners. Seems like he can't cross over

The GPS tracker Calibration Origin is the point that it takes you if there’s ever an issue with your current coordinates. It is basically the fail safe spawn point where if the game gets confused it’ll put you there. Hope that helps

I had and incident where the submarine crushed me while I was in a boat and my game bugged and spawned me with a parachute in the air around that area

I think the golden retriever that leads Franklin to Dom is a 'Door Dog'. They're dogs that are often depicted as omens of death and they follow people who are soon to die.

The "Origin"" point at 27:40 could be meant practical by the devs. Could be my imagination but i think thats the spot where my minimap always shows me (my own map icon) when i join a session inside of the kosatka . Sometimes the same happens when i quickly enter / exit an interrior (mostly while prepping perico)
I believe it could be the "origin" or fallback location of the map. If you manage to get extremely out of bounds or glitched in some way that the game doesn't know where you are or where to respawn you it places you on the ground above what appears to be this point.
@@AbsintheBabeI found a glitch in the story mode where the game, without knowing what to do, teleports you to that place, it's the center of the map, as an abuser of the game I'm aware of this, I ended up there too many times
It's a shame this series has to come to an end. It was a fun ride and I loved every minute of it. I learned about so many things that I didn't even know existed in this game. It's amazing that we're still learning more and more unknown secrets about this game even after almost a decade of it being out.
Maybe GTA VI is super ambitious and includes a start in Vice City, but also airport service to re-visit Los Santos and Liberty City areas? Maybe that's also why GTA VI might take 15 years to come out since the GTA V was first released? =0

@@mrdumbaj4146 I'm sure they are focusing on other projects. They took time to do Red Dead 2 and that was a big project. They still have a team doing GTA V Online.
But, I've heard that R* isn't going ahead with GTA VI until they have an inspired story and reason to make it. Sure, it's easy for fans to say just make it in Vice City (at least first), make more interiors interactive, more activities and a variety of fun missions. But to do that, they need to find a storyline that can fit the bill.
They already did a pretty strong story on the corrupt government, corrupt corporate capitalist, materialistic lifestyle America. They can still have that in the next one, but they probably need another angle. Maybe climate crisis, along with refugee crisis and potential nuclear war? Lots of fun apocalyptic scenarios from real life they can be inspired by, haha.
@@coolioso808 they are working on it and they have stopped support for rdo probably to focus more on gta 6. But i doubt they have been working on it for 15 years. Rdr2 was made by a bunch of different studios, R☆ north included. So i'd say they were in early development at that time (main story and concepts and all that) but now they are making the game, i think they announced that last year.
27:39 GPS Tracker subprocess CalibrateOrigin: is (I think) a spot where you spawn at whenever you die while trying to activate agency or casino godmode. I also believe that it is the spot where you spawn at whilst performing the “guns in passive” glitch. It is basically the default spawning point in GTAO. Anyways, neat video.
If you enter those coordinates on Google it ends up on a road called Bellenden Gardens in Edinburgh, on a road shaped like a penis.

Makes sense. CalibrateOrigin probably means the xyz map is calibrated with that point in the center of all cordinates, so the default spawnpoint is 55,-3,1 or 0,0,0 after calibrating.

17:55 this might be what we call a "logic cube" at my workplace. If a programmer needs to write and attach code to literally anything to work, they'll sometimes just make a physical cube game object to get the job done. Why? Code by itself is hard to implement via jamming it into an engine. If you attach it to an entity, then it just works off of said entity's existence, and cubes are easier to physically track vs sticking it in an empty game object, followed by sifting through a mile long hierarchy if you need to make changes to it later.
LOL 24:57, same deal. Whoever was working on the cinematic camera that day decided the camera is attached to a truck instead of being an empty game object like they usually are. I guess they had issues getting the framing right and needed an object as reference and said "Screw it, semi truck it is."

After level 120, you gain more max health. The health regeneration gain increases as well because it’s regenerating more raw health, but the percentage is still the same, hence why it doesn’t seem like it’s regenerating faster

Also, presumably, for the test that InControlAgain did both characters were shot the same number of times with the same weapon, and you an see the health bars line up exactly. So unless the gun deals a percentage of the target's health as damage instead of flat damage (which would be ridiculous and completely negate having extra health regen anyway) then no, there is no extra max hp nor health regen.

the interiors being under the map thing is really obvious when you fail a mission while in an interior, the respawn animation will just go to a random part of the map and zoom into the ground. Sometimes I don't get why they don't just put the interior under the place it's supposed to be cause it's really strange to see the game zoom into a random part of Sandy Shores and then suddenly you're in a nightclub in Los Santos
30:12 I think it is because of the kosatka mission on the main heist where you steal a device that makes kosatka invicible on radar. They either had to remove the setup or remove the scope out so they chose removing the scope out mission
10:17 Actually, this mystery got solved from many years, the dog is a reference to "Vincent" a dog from the TV show "LOST" (an incredible series) who seems to spawn and disappear along the show and who alerts principal caracters from dangers.
I thought of the same theory after watching the show lol 😂

9:53 I like to believe that the dog was one that belonged to Dom or a dog that he may have helped at some point in its lifetime and since we can assume it’s no longer alive it can disappear instantaneously, it follows him like a guardian Angel which I find adorable and would make sense cause dogs love unconditionally and would obviously want to help them, even in the after life. Just a personal theory but in my mind it makes sense and I would love for it to be true somehow.

27:34, the fifth coordinate isnt a random spot, its where quite a few glitches can lead you, such as old gctf methods, save wizard modded cars, failed gm, etc, i believe it may also be where some loading screens place your character. And the DM trailer is in the sky above this as well.

the unfinished heist has been scrapped into the auto shop contract but without the whole seized car thing, its pretty much the 5 same banks on the map and they just got trackers/alarms you can disable before robbing each one or you get cops (on the last one cops start chasing you anyway)

20:00 I think this is a altered version of the mission in the auto shops where u rob all the fleece banks on one go only difference is u just lose the cops after instead of doing the jetski stuff foot chase etc
Also at 29:00 the movie npc is placed where the dealership is for the update on the 26th so I assume someone is meant to be there and he is a placeholder

@@flyingplatypus6688 At the end of "Hood Safari" (where Trevor, Franklin and Lamar go to Grove Street for a drug deal) they escape using jet skis. (And split up as well). That is probably the mission most closely related to the files.
I don’t think anyone else caught this, but during the mission “Did Somebody Say Yoga?”, Jimmy’s friend that he goes to buy drugs from called Michael De Santa “Mr. De Santo” and it got left in the game.
Yeah I always noticed that part. I always just thought it's cause Jimmy's friend was either stupid or trying to be funny by saying the name wrong. But now knowing that De Santo was supposed to be his name, I instantly thought of that bit, and now it looks like they either forgot to fix it or left it in for some strange reason.

The "This does not exist" block might just be there from developements so you can copy it quickly if a developer has to implement a Mechanic with a Texture that was not designed by the designer-team yet. It's very common in other games as well that developers used such "standard" or ridicilous blocks to use as "fill material"

I wonder if that health regeneration thing is the regen scaling with your HP. Pretty sure you get more HP until level 100 and so therefore the regen would appear slower if the rate wasn’t also increasing. But then again, that wouldn’t make sense since the heavy sniper was killing at the same rate. Weird.

i really love the fact that not only us, the players have a level, but also lore characters like rubio and lamar. makes you wonder what level are franklin, michael, trevor, lester, martin etc
the alpha screenshot in the Yellow Jack Inn with the unfinished desert is really cool, I've never seen that before, it's crazy to imagine the map in the game in such a stage but I guess it had to start somewhere

27:46 i work with GPS navigation, and the only thing that kind of makes sense here is taking about moving your reference point. All GPS coordinates are based on an exact reference point. In modern usage, latitude and longitude coordinates are almost always in relation to something called the WGS84 ellipsoid. The ellipsoid is a slightly squished sphere (often called an oblate spheroid) with its center located at the center of mass of the real earth. The WGS84 datum is basically a way to exactly define lat and lon that everyone can agree on. It has an inverse flattening of about 300 and an equatorial radius of about 6378 km (those are the two numbers you need to define an oblate spheroid). If you ever wondered how people decided where longitude starts and stops, its completely arbitrary and set to be an exact distance away from the Greenwich Observatory. You can also use the WGS84 ellipsoid to determine altitude, but GPS almost always uses something called a geoid that is defined in EGM96. When people say "i am at _____ feet above sea level" they are talking about their altitude using EGM96. If you want to talk about your altitude referencing the much easier to use WGS84 ellipsoid, you say "i am at _____ feet above the ellipsoid (HAE)"
All that said, the reference point (or the origin) for the latitude, longitude, and altitude that we all use is arbitrary and can be moved. It can often be desirable to "move" the reference point around if you are doing some navigational math and want to avoid something like dividing by zero. You could also just use a different origin point for navigation, like the center of the sun for flying around the solar system. With all that in mind, you could also give someone a location (or set of waypoints) that are relative to a different origin. In other words, you would do some math to move the WGS84 references around, then you would look at where your coordinates now point.
I use GPS a lot and know that those are the GPS coordinates for the city of Edinburgh, home to R* North. They are actually for the tip of a dick shaped road in the city called Bellenden Gardens.

Idk if this is something you covered but using a controller and a 'MANUAL' car on a hill; slightly press the throttle and the car will roll back down the hill, pressing it more will give you actual frontal movement simulating using a clutch on hill starts. Doesn't work on electric vehicles so this is definitely a really cool minute detail
Real life tip for new drivers: use the handbrake, let out the clutch until you feel the car pushing forward then let off the brake. Uphill starts can be scary for new drivers.
@@pyramidion5911 you can actually do a clutch start as well, basically if you can’t start the car for whatever reason, you can try to start the car while it’s rolling down hill.
Yeah I noticed it works with the vagrant but not with some other vehicles I thought it was just a quirk of the vagrant I didn't know it's because the vehicle is a manual
I also know a game that did this, it's Mafia II, but because the game is set in 1945-1951 there are no automatic cars.

The last set of coordinates on the board in the facility is probably a calibration coordinate, not necessarily taking you anywhere but it’s just the gps calibrating the origin of the signal, ergo the facility.

One little extra note to add: female characters can Have an advantage in a very few PvE situations.
They can wear High heels and that makes the character model taller. This can be positive when aiming from out of a few containers against NPC's. It was pretty effective at that Survival in stab City when that container was inside the fighting Area. The female character could thus kill the enemies easier than the male characters.

This is Jesse From Breaking Bad.
They have other breaking bad references. Some of the devs really enjoyed breaking bad, and they wanted to put easter eggs of it in the game. This would make sense considering the development of GTAV started during the Breaking Bad TV show. Other evidence to support this is that Dave Dixon (artist at rockstar during the time of this) really loved breaking bad.
Three times i failed that plane scout set up. 2 because the plane is so hard to fly, and the other because the plane rids is so long.
a lot of this information are small nice things to know especially some that are so outrageous you can’t find on your own, it makes this place a great and interesting library of facts and with you voicing the video making it a very enjoyable 30 min for even people who aren’t interested in the knowledge

16:05, now with the Mercenaries update, the rank requirement for 10 body armor/armour has been removed, so technically now a level 1 can equip 10 armor in their inventory without the need of getting to the previously required rank
