I love the way you teach your kids to cook. Even as to trust their tastes, like when she said it needed salt and you responded by asking a little or a lot. You are so good at this. You should design a class to teach this to parents. ❤
Hi Yiayia! Thank you for watching! We really pride ourselves in teaching the kids young in some fundamental skills like cooking. We know to trust the kids and their tastebuds at a young age since we’ve taught them to taste also starting at young. What a great idea teaching other parents to do the same!
Haha right!! We love Garfield here! Fun fact I always wanted an orange male fat cat to name Garfield but I ended up getting a female orange cat and she came named, but she’s still pretty chubby and she will be the female Garfield version ha! 🐈
It all looks yum! Love your videos. All the way from Australia. My family aren’t vegan but my daughter and I love watching you and kids cooking. Very inspiring
Hello Rosa. How are you? Your audience is steadily growing. I notice that a few of your viewers/subscribers, like myself, are also not vegan. I think it's safe to say that we enjoy the practicality of the family style meals and the the skill, ease, and willingness of the children to work together to help with the preparation of the meals. It is a very family friendly channel. Stay authentic and keep up the good work!!
Hello Sakina old friend! Yes we’ve noticed that many are not vegan as well but totally agree, honestly we do cook for our family so I try to show case we do this well for our large family haha! So glad people are coming to watch our channel it’s been such a unique experience and fun meeting new people! Hope you’re doing amazing!!
Hello Rosa and family! You inspired me today I had to pull an angel hair Bolognese out of the freezer for my supper! Hope everybody here following the Hai Path are doing great. Hope Trey is doing great and everybody is having a wonderful evening! Love you all.
Hello friend!! Yes pull that bolognese out and have a great supper! Bolognese is one of our favorite sauces ever. It’s so satisfying! Treys feeling better he’s having a follow up next week and he should be able to put some weight on it!
One of my first vegan successes was lentil bolognese. It’s constantly in the rotation and one of my favorite freezer meals. I’ll make a big batch and make individual portions. Love this channel!
Yummmmmy pasta is my favorite. I used to make my own but in a move one time I lost my pasta machine. Gonna get another one and make my own it’s so fun. And the ricotta looks so easy to mark I need to do this. Hugs to you all and thanks for the lovely video
I think I may have missed something. Did you pre-soak the lentils? I really like the looks of the basil pesto and that spinach/pesto pasta you made. Mercy you are really developing some awesome cooking skills. Great video. Thank you for sharing.
Hello! Yes I presoaked lentils overnight in a mason jar, then the day of I drain and rinse it and use it in the sauce. You can precook then add it to the sauce or just add the sauce directly into the sauce to cook. It will thicken it so be aware and don’t let it burn! Oh man the pesto and spinach is a great combo!
Love me some pasta dishes. Barilla is my favorite pasta as well. That sauce looked fantastic. When you said lentils I thought you would use the brown lentil, as I see those often in recipes. But I like the look of your sauce so much better. Will have to try it. Do you know if it will freeze well?
We like this pasta we get from Smiths it’s from Italy but it’s not barilla! Most of the time we buy whatever is on sale! Yes this sauce freezes beautifully! Red lentils are smaller and more fragile than the regular other types of lentils
Hello Tammy! We do not particularly make our sauce super potent, we just season it well and with the pasta water it creates the most silky sauce! We don’t like dry pasta so it’s a good idea to use the pasta water
Pasta IS comforting. it's also a slow death. Sad that any influencer is pushing pasta as an every day meal. It's a highly processed product that causes all kinds of inflammation and gut issues among insulin and other issues. We have been taught the upside down food pyramid. They get rich, we get fat and unhealthy. Read more.
Hello! We agree that it is not the best food to eat all the time, it’s been hard since grocery bills are getting higher and higher and pasta is economical feeding our larger family. My husband Trey has done tons of research and he has educated the family on it and I’ve just made the decision to make some lasagna and pasta prep this week. We’re not pushing pasta as an every day meal we definitely push to eat Whole Foods every day as much as possible.
@@thehaipath I get it (the economy of eating "healthy" sucks! Again, "they" win... they bought out the entire meat market (years after doing this to organic veggies) in the US and now a farmer has ONE bidder to sell to. If you don't sell to his price, you lose your lot. Even corn, which is one of the worst products next to soy, has been long controlled by "patents" on DNA that montsano owns and guess what... if you don't buy their seed... and a neighbor does, they cross and the next season your "natural" seed now has Montsano patented (modified) DNA in it and they can prove it and will sue you. You now have to pay them or lose your entire crop (and can't effectively stop the cross contamination). Corn sucks anyway. It's a lobbied product that would lose money if the taxpayers of America weren't funding the production (without knowing) through federal grants that promote corn crops and not much else. Try to find a "shelf" product without a byproduct of corn in it. And those by products are well known to horrible. You seem very nice! It's not an attack on you or your family, sorry. It's just a decade of research with the start goal of healing a family member with vegetables and fruit and an "organic" lifestyle that sadly led me down a path of lobbyists, paid off research papers and the ugly ugly world of "research" that comes from people who know they're at risk of losing the funding if they don't find appropriate findings. It's easy to call something bad while ignoring the users sugar/soy/corn product intake etc. but when you actually study isolated food diets (elimination diets) you will find the hardest to refute science. The actual paths to health. A regression to where we came from. We have an average pH of 1.5, similar to scavengers, carrion eating animals. Guess what they eat? Ruminants do the work for us and provide bio-available nutrients rather than pulling nutrients from our bodies (like vegetables do!!! That's why you need to take a "vitamin" ... ever wonder why people "need" so many supplements? Look at vegans... some of the weakest people in the world especially without supplements and vitamins. Plants have toxins and antinutrients. Sure you can survive, but I'd prefer to thrive.
Yes! That’s why my husband eats the way he does and he’s a heavy researcher just like you and went down rabbit holes of all this finding out about Monsanto a long long time ago. He’s also been healing from an autoimmune condition using holistic methods. We try to eat as much organic as possible and understand the importance of eating this way. We try to stay away from corn/soy as much as possible and hate that we have to spend a ton to just eat a normal healthy life.
And I'm still trying to figure this all out, but trial and error is leaning towards animal based over plant based. And within that, grass fed and finished (grazed, not "fed" animals, who can forage and love a low stress life, lower water use and carbon footprint than guess what... plant farming. Shocking, but you won't hear that through any main outlet. They don't know better. Big farm livestock, no bueno. Local, foraging, insect (chickens) and grass eating animals, yes. Pasteurized dairy? No. Raw. Yes. It's all opposite of what we learned in the (very recent) past, it's going back to what worked for millennium. Grains and veggies were for overpopulation and city growth. They were not to "thrive". They were for the rich to survive. They eat meat. The best. They want you on toxic anti-nutrient fiber and rest. Fiber is absolutely unnecessary in an animal based diet. Cook with suet, tallow, lard. The opposite of they taught in the 80's and on. Look at all the health issues from margernine and plant fats (seed oils), oxidative stress, oxylates, lectins, phytates, glucosinates, saponins, goitrogens and on and on. It's a sobering acknowledgement for any of us that went down the vegan or vegetarian path only to have skin, gut, and any other of a wide variety of issues mostly linked to malnutrition and inability to spend so much freaking money on "organic" vitamins and supplements because your food doesn't contain bio available versions and actually depletes you of so much that the guidelines for daily intake are raised to accommodate. It's a poor man's survival. It's not a healthy man (or woman)'s thrival.

Hi James! You should try these recipes even if you’re not vegan they’re so good!
Hi. So I've noticed that you leave extra pasta water in the pasta. Do you need to make to sauce more potent so it doesn't get watered down?
