Nice splitter Bob, I’m sure the lift shelf is great addition 👍🏻. Have a great evening 👍🏻🙂🙋🏼♂️
I really needed the log lift. The wood being split in this video was not too big, but in the past year I had some very big locust and oak rounds that I could not pick up. The log lift changed all of that, and it doubles as a table for staging logs. It's a fine machine. Thanks for watching and commenting. Enjoy the Journey - Cheers
Hello Bob, just an idea, how about putting some carriage bolts in the holes. 🪵👍🏼🇺🇸
That's a great idea. I'm going to figure that out. I was thinking of welding plugs into the holes, but I don't have a welder or experience. I think I can handle your idea. Thank you. I tend to over think things. Thanks for watching and commenting. Enjoy the Journey - Cheers
Got my 35ton SHO Sep of 2022 in Saphire Blue. Currently have 255 hours on it, and it's been awesome. Wish I could have gotten it sooner. 😉👍
Good day Daniel. Yes, your splitter was the first non-red Wolfe Ridge splitter I ever saw. Very nice color. I'm really taking a fondness to the OD green color they have available. If I ever get one of the vertical splitters, it will be in either orange or OD green. Sounds like you are getting some production out of the SHO. That's good. Thank you for taking a moment to watch, comment and subscribe. Enjoy the journey - cheers
Bob that splitter still looks new. You may have to step up your game and increase production lol. Take care enjoy your day.
I hear you. If things keep going the way they are, I will be doing just that. Thank you Ben for watching and commenting. Enjoy the journey - cheers
Good afternoon Bota Bob ☕️☕️👊🇺🇸
Good afternoon Gary - I hope you all are doing well. Thanks for watching and commenting. Enjoy the Journey - Cheers
Hi Bob. It sounds like you are near a gun range like us. Looks like a nice splitter.👍
Yes, it's a private shooting range. When I first moved here it would startle me, not that I did not like people shooting. I just startle easily. But now I rarely flinch when they start shooting. LOL - Yes, Wolfe Ridge makes a very good product that they stand behind. I would recommend them to anyone. They are now offering a vertical splitter that is sweet. Thanks for watching and commenting. Enjoy the Journey - Cheers
It looks like a fine splitter Bob. Its hard to get a commercial splitter around here. I can order one but it would be nice to see them first. Thanks for showing.
Kenny
I hear you Kenny. When I purchased the 28 Pro, I thought I was getting their high speed splitter minus the auto-cycle valve. But, the 28C is their commercial version and is a lot faster. The best things I like is the working height of the splitter and the log lift. This thing is so much better then the box store splitter I started with. Thanks for watching and commenting. Enjoy the Journey - Cheers
I do like your splitter and it sounds like the new version is even better
It's a great splitter and Wolfe Ridge MFC continues to improve their products. Thanks for watching and commenting. Enjoy the Journey - Cheers
Good afternoon Bob, hope the weather is ok in your area and I like your reviews of your splitter. Thanks for sharing and hope you have a blessed rest of the week my friend.
It's cold but the wood stove is keeping the house very comfortable. Thanks for watching and commenting. Enjoy the Journey - Cheers
even with a few short coming, it still works very well.
You are spot on Vern. I am not trying to put down the 28 PRO log splitter. I am just pointing out items that could use improvement. And, I think they have already addressed all of the items I pointed out. So, if I saw the issues, I'm sure others have expressed their concerns to Chris at Wolfe Ridge. Thanks for watching and commenting. Enjoy the Journey - Cheers
Looks like a nice machine. It also looks like you keep it in top notch shape. Nice!
Thanks Brian. It's a fine machine. I no longer need to stoop over to split logs and the log lift can hold a good load of logs while splitting. it would be great for a two man team to bust out a cord of firewood in an hour. Thanks for watching and commenting. Enjoy the Journey - Cheers
That is good your input improves the product.
Yes, Chris and his team are working to improve their product. At one point, I thought I wanted a hole cut into the top to act as a handle. That would have been a terrible idea. I understand the concept that they were going for, but it really does introduce issues. JMO, and what do I know? I'm just a user with limited experience of splitting a few cords of firewood per year. Thanks for watching and commenting. Enjoy the Journey - Cheers
Good afternoon Bob! A thin metal sheet welded or bolted over the table top and a small hand held trailer dolly many help out.
I like your idea. I think I will try bolting a piece of steal to the top and see what I think. thanks for the suggestion. Thanks for watching and commenting. Enjoy the Journey - Cheers
Good honest review on the splitter Bob. It gets the job done. Sounds like the newer version is even better. Thanks for sharing, Ben 👍
Thanks Ben. It's a very good splitter. And, if you don't identify issues, nothing will be improved. As I said, Everyone of the issues I spoke to have been fixed by the Wolfe Ridge team. They offer an outstanding splitter and stand behind the product. Thanks for watching and commenting. Enjoy the Journey - Cheers
You are tough Bob…….you didn’t even duck during the gun shots…..LOL I’d say the holes are for getting rid of the small pieces but if they put the slots the other way would have been better. As you stay no holes is best of course. It is a fine splitter no mistake about it Bob.
I used to flinch all the time. But, it's just background noise now. Occasionally, someone with a super load gun will be shooting and that can be a little nerve racking, but otherwise it's not a problem. When I lived in South Carolina, I would go to the public shooting range every week. I developed a lot of friends as a result. Shooting other folks guns was a good opportunity to try different hardware without buying one of your own. I think the holes were an interesting idea, but in the end, they can slow down the production. It's not a major issue, but is annoying. Thanks for watching and commenting. Enjoy the Journey - Cheers
Bob, I just saw Kenny (Open Air Adventures) give you a shoutout. So, here I am to support a fellow TH-camr. Glad I found your videos! Awesome sticker too!!
Thank you Monk. I also caught Kenny's video. Your gift to him was very nice. When did you serve in Bosnia? My unit deployed to Romania in support of the Air Battle Management during the Kosovo crisis in 1999. Hard to believe that was 25 years ago. Thanks again for taking a moment to watch, comment and subscribe. Enjoy the journey - cheers
@@botabob I was there in 1995. My team developed the plans for the U.N. to NATO handover. Thank you for your service.
Hey there Bob, good to see you getting good use out of your log splitter. I have heard lots of good things about that company and it's nice that they continue to improve their products and give great customer service. Have fun and Play Safe.
Hey Larry, good day. I agree. Chris Wolfe has really made a name for himself in the firewood industry. When I made the video, I was just planning to do a log splitting video. But, when I was editing the video, I thought it was a good opportunity to review my three year old splitter. Thanks for watching and commenting. Enjoy the Journey - Cheers
Nice splitter Bob. Just a thought. Maybe get a piece of aluminum made to fit on the table and bolt it down wth carriage bolts thru the existing holes and have handle attached to the aluminum. And have the aluminum table out another 6” or so. It would make it easier to lift. Just some thoughts.
Have a great day Bob. 👍🏻👋
I like your idea Noel. I thought of plugging the holes with slugs and welding in place, but I don't have a welder. But, carriage bolts and a piece of mettle is very do able for me. Thanks for watching and commenting. Enjoy the Journey - Cheers
@@botabob Sounds good Bob. See you on the next one. 👍🏻👍🏻👋
