I second his comment that you shouldn't give up. I am a 48 year old who has been trying to do MUs for a month. I have enough strength but the technique was illusive. Two days ago I thought the 5 or 6 things you have to do at once to get over the bar was too much multitasking for an uncoordinated geriatric. But yesterday I suddenly managed to get my hands to turn around the bar for the first time, and I can now do it consistently. (I have no tips for that, it just happened automatically after a fair bit of practice.) I was almost in a position to do the dip part. All I need now is to get the hip thrust and lat pulldown happening better. I am nearly there, and if I can do it then probably the younger people watching this will get there if they stick at it (of couse without risking injury by overtraining). I hope that this helps someone.
