Excellent video, i often visualize the people who criticize crossfit like they were taking a magic pill that will make them strong and resilient and never even care to dig enough to understand how training must be face off. And i have a question for you if want to answer. What do you think about McGill´s opinion about crossfit?
Exactly. I don't know anything about mcgill's background other than it seems he's a Doctor. You'll always find a small handful of people or research that agrees with one side.
Most people that dislike CF simply prefer to do their own programming. Personally, I love it .. all I need to do is show up, do what's on the whiteboard and leave ;-)
I believe for a good chunk of people that is definitly the case, but over the years I've seen so many people come and go because of poor coaching/programming by affiliates. I've also personally worked with tons of people who didn't want to take feedback or workout modifications, causing them to have poor results from the workouts, which inevitably leads to them leaving as well.
Nope, even when you do it "right", it's still wrong. The coaches teach you a form that's incorrect even if you do it "right". You want a sense of community? You can get that literally everywhere. I found mine at my martial arts school. We do endurance/strength training, various hiit/conditioning/striking drills, all kinds of equipment from hand targets, kickshields, heavybags, dumbells, battle ropes, trx, ladders, etc. The instructor is also trained as a physical therapist so all the classes are scientifically based. Plus did you know that martial arts is considered to be one of the top 3 best sports/exercises you can do? The other two are swimming and gymnastics. So no, crossfit isn't anything special and I promise you, you WILL have issues with your joints, muscles, tendons, etc gradually overtime as you get older.
Let me know if you believe I left anything out. What topic should I cover in the next video?
Yes. Great video. Keep them coming
Thanks Charlene! I just uploaded one about an hour ago that is the same style as this one!
