Why not mount the dry sump facing rearwards. My friend races stock cars, and one of them has the dry sump mounted to the bell housing. He uses a Bert transmission, they make a setup for rear mounted pump. Don't know all the details, and how your firewall is made, but it's a thought.
Shawn, I guess using a crank hub instead of the harmonic balancer is a little late, then all the pulleys and spacers are interchangeable. However the crank need a second keyway which you probably considered,,,,
With the crank hub the dual key ways will last longer than a balancer with one keyway,and then the different brands of pulleys and spacers fit without matching. BDS or RCD makes hubs for SBC engines. I've span a balancer with only one keyway. Thanks
