Skaar Banner is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, usually as a supporting character in stories featuring his father, the Hulk, who conceived Skaar with the extraterrestrial Caiera during the 2006-2007 "Planet Hulk" storyline. Created by writer Greg Pak and artist John Romita Jr., he first appeared in What If? Planet Hulk #1 (cover-dated December 2007).
Skaar made his animation debut in the animated series Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. (2013-2015), and his live-action Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) debut in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (2022) by Wil Deusner. Marvel was started in 1939 by Martin Goodman under a number of corporations and imprints but now known as Timely Comics, and by 1951 had generally become known as Atlas Comics. The Marvel era began in 1961, the year that the company launched The Fantastic Four and other superhero titles created by Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko and many others. The Marvel brand, which had been used over the years, was solidified as the company's primary brand.
Marvel counts among its characters such well-known superheroes as Spider-Man, Iron Man, the Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Ant-Man, the Wasp, Black Widow, Wolverine, Captain Marvel, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Ghost Rider, Blade, Daredevil, the Punisher and Deadpool. Superhero teams exist such as the Avengers, the X-Men, the Fantastic Four and the Guardians of the Galaxy as well as supervillains including Doctor Doom, Magneto, Thanos, Loki, Green Goblin, Kingpin, Red Skull, Ultron, the Mandarin, MODOK, Doctor Octopus, Kang, Dormammu, Annihilus and Galactus. Most of Marvel's fictional characters operate in a single reality known as the Marvel Universe, with most locations mirroring real-life places; many major characters are based in New York City. Additionally, Marvel has published several licensed properties from other companies. This includes Star Wars comics twice from 1977 to 1986 and again since 2015.

I've always seen hulk as a pure survival thing like hulk is a metaphor. When we experience mental trauma our brain tries to protect itself via dissociation amnesia etc. That is what the hulk is just he manifests in the physical world also

Marvel has no clue on what to do with Hulk. To be honest i found the old 60s and 70s stories where Hulk just experienced a lot of Frankensteins Monster incidents was way more interesting. It was Hulk meeting kids and an old blind man.. a total FM rip off but i loved those stories as a kid.. Hulk just fighting other big enemies are boring to me.. Although the best was the stories as the grey Mr. Fixit. A gangster in suits like the 30s. All the McFarland stuff was great. The films seem to be stuck on him and can't give him good stories for some reason..

Here's the issue with him magically now having a son. Marvel completely got rid of Betty and replaced her with Black Widow there's absolutely zero storyline of Bruce even marrying Betty like in the Comics. Marvel F-up when Ed Norton was fired. Personally universal studios should just do Hulk movies with Ed Norton and have nothing to do with marvel.

*sigh* why don't they do the best Hulk story ever Future Imperfect with the Maestro? Also professor Hulk in the comic was awesome. He had Bruce Banners brain but he Had the rage and anger of the Green Hulk and the snarky bad ass anti hero rebellious attitude of the grey Hulk. You got the best of all Hulks during that era. Professor Hulk in the Marvel MCU is just a dork used for comedy relief. Intelligent Hulk can make better stories because dumb Hulk can only have simple plots and all he does is scream and yell and hit things which doesn't leave much room for depth. Disney though messed Professor Hulk up and now the general public hates this version of the Hulk :(
