Abramovic is just the last era of a progressive growing of Chelsea. Thats because Chelsea has more power in Europe compared to similar situations with investors like Man City or PSG. Chelsea had an own identity before Abramovic. And thats why I love Chelsea.
To the people who say we have no history - history is not just titles. We have been up and down, won some trophies before 2003, been on the verge of liquidation and we have an era with an avalanche of trophies.
We have history because we have been through it all. That's history

That Di Matteo FA Cup final goal was the moment I became a Chelsea fan for life, and the Zola goal in the Cup Winners Cup final was the moment I knew I'd made the right decision.
I remember watching Chelsea play Liverpool in the 4th round of the FA cup that year. We were losing 2-0, we scored 4 in the second half! That's the match that made me love Chelsea FC and love football. KTBFFH!
I remember that match,i think Mark Hughes got a brace in that match,a real classic
M J king Hughes came off the bench and scored the first goal for Chelsea, he made a massive impact. It was Vialli that got the brace though.

@@adrianhughes8143 That was the best Chelsea team before Roman. Yes, you could make a case for the 1971 Cup Winners' Cup winning team with Bonetti, Harris and Osgood, but this team was littered with top class players like Zola, Poyet, Flo, Vialli, Wise

What an incredible squad Chelsea had that year. So many matchwinners - Vialli, Zola, Hughes, Flo, Casiraghi, Poyet, Di Matteo...great to watch.
One of the best squads we had at Chelsea in my lifetime, superb attacking football, loads of characters and that Italian connection. Forza Chelsea!

What a beautiful run at this tournament, what a lovely comeback against Vincenzo and to top it off, a win against Champions League winners Madrid. That pass by Wise to Zola in the final, sublime.
the first time i heard about Chelsea is when my junior high school friends chat about FA cup final between Chelsea & Boro... never heard about both team before, but i noticed a familiar name in Chelsea squad, the Holland great player, Ruud Gullit (my uncle are supporter of AC Milan, and Gullit is absolutely eye catching), so i pick Chelsea to win the cup, and they did it...
first match i watch, is charity shield against Man.Utd, Chelsea lost in the shootout, but one player look different and very technical, that's Zola... and from that time, i keep supporting Chelsea for 25 season already, 2 owners, 15 managers, bunch of Legendary players, and 26 titles...
this video really bring me back memories of Chelsea greatness in late 1990s, too bad this team failed to win Premier League, 1999 season it their best chance...
And when Jose came in, Chelsea turned into a more defensive team with ferreira and carvalho.. And they ended up breaking the arsenal-man united dominance for 2 seasons straight.. Haha

I was 9 years old when I started following Chelsea. Most of my school were West Ham because of our location and because of Mervyn Day. He was the West Ham goalie, and came from my town - Chelmsford, Essex. But I always swam against the tide and watched us win the FA Cup on a black and white telly when we beat Leeds in the 1970 FA Cup. Followed The Chels through Thick and Thin, and I remember that Gianluca Vialli was our most successful manager in the pre-Roman era. Loved that Cup Winners Cup run and Final Win. We've got a great history. Chelsea for ever. KTBFFH.
Can't believe it, I just bought the same Chelsea shirt as 1998 cup today. So happy that I wearing it. Chelsea is the best club always and forever.
I'm Italian and an AC Milan fan. I remember that final like yesterday as I was with friends at my home all of us cheering for Chelsea, because of Italian players, but our favourite was Zola. When he was going to enter I said loud: "I bet he'll score the winning goal", few second after he did! Well done Gianfranco!

Many think that Chelsea became a football powerhouse when Abramovic became President, but the Blues were already winning International trophies in the 90s
Special moments never will be forgotten. I even shared a tears by watching this video. That was so motivational and special. I was a lil kid when I watched them back then. I hope we are gonna have more special moments like that this season. Come on Chelsea!!!!
Chelsea started this competition as favourites which I always thought a bit of a surprise considering the quality sides involved in the ECWC during the mid to late 1990s. Went every game home and away in this campaign.
Vialli would put Morata to shame.
Hughes was underrated as well.
Vialli in the snow against thomso away was brillliant and poyet also what a chels team that was chelsea was on the up from 1997 98 season.

Im chelsea fan but im not old enough to see this season at that time, when i watched it now I realize there anothe magical season other than 11/12 when we won champion lg and this season is one of them. Hopefully we can recreate this superb season by winning champion lg and fa cup this season. Bring on real madrid and man city now!
