Haha! Plus, the turntable spins in the totally opposite direction due to Australia being in the southern hemisphere (like toilets flushing in the opposite direction). ;)
@TorontoJon I'd considered telling my wife that as an excuse to buy more records. Not only do I think she'd have seen through it, I also think she'd have made me pay for even trying 🤣
I love how music is such an international thing. I also love how in Sergey's pictures from Russia, the dog is laid on the floor looking wistfully at the cosy bed, the cat is all comfortable on the cosy bed probably saying "if you come near my bed it's not going to end well pal". That's exactly the same as dogs/cats that co-exist in every corner of the world lol.
12:48 I'm loving that vintage Akai cassette deck. I have a similar one and I really dig that vintage brushed steel look of vintage equipment of that era. :)
Always love these vinyl den videos!. Just a note, after having an Ortophon 2m red cartridge for many years I went to a blue, lived with that for 5 years and I just bought a 2m bronze cartridge. Oh my god! The jump in quality from Blue to bronze is so much greater than red to blue.. maybe check it out if you ever have a chance.
Technics SL1700 mark 1 with Shure V15 Type III. Technics amp and B&W 602 S2 speakers. Recently cleaned and re-sleeved every vinyl and found out I had 456. Also have a mark 2 SL1210 waiting to be be repaired, Pronounce it as Wor cest er sheer.
I've had my sl-1700 since 1978 and recently replaced all the capacitors and even the thermal paste above the chip that I guess runs everything. The thermal paste was completely gone. I suspect now that I'm 68 this turntable will outlive me! By the way Frank I think you're safe just pronouncing it as "Tech-neeks" I might be wrong but I suspect most people in North America pronounce it that way.
12:00 Worcestershire is technically pronounced "WOOS-TER-SHER", but when I've visited England, Worcestershire was simply called Worcester ("WOOS-TER") with no "shire" pronounced. :)
imagine what we didn't see . there must be tens of thousands of these rooms world wide . Maybe do a contest with commenters voting on the "Best Listening Room" award .
I'm waiting to send my submission in soon. My brother-in-law is finishing up real soon a new record cube cabinet, he's already done the stereo console. My living room/listening space is almost finished with it's makeover.
The Clear Audio and The Cambridge Audio Alva Turntables are well respected in the UK Hifi Press and Community. I work in a Call Centre and we have a street called Worcester Street. I had a caller ring up and they stated they lived on Warchester Street. I thought about it as we don't have a Warchester Street. After a moment, I realised what the caller meant and said you mean Worcester Street😂😂😂. It's pronounced Wuster or Wustershire. Yes you are correct Frank. We have Rubbish Tips in the UK for general waste.
It's been really hectic in my life this year, but I still find time for my hobby. There's just no time to organize, maybe by the end of summer, lol . Watch 33rpm all the time.
I saw this 70s style hifi audio room on TH-cam that is so awesomely nostalgic. Wood paneling, greenish shag carpet etc. :) I’d love to have one like it.
So great to see a Mitsubishi X-10 Interplay System in a vinyl den. That was what I bought (along with a pair of Polk Audio Monitor 5s) when I went away to college - in the small dorm rooms, it would fit and it was a great conversation piece. Great video as always, Frank! Cheers, man!
Oh man.... that's asking for trouble, haha (I learned my lesson...). Typically, I would say Tech-neeks, but every time I say one or the other, I get a boatload of comments telling me I'm wrong. It depends on where you live. Search Technics commercials on TH-cam, and you will see... It's the beauty of speaking to an international audience.
Thank you Frank, seeing the nags from someone else's perspective is quite sobering. I'm so glad you dig it 🙌. Loving your encouragement to younger collectors, its great to see 💙
5:09 I have those JBL's, and that dude aint lying. Those things can be heard across my entire neighborhood if I have the door open (I have tested it) I can't even use them right now, I have some smaller JBL's hooked up right now.
@@DavidL-fy9pn I won't. I've been waiting a long time as well, and I'll have to wait even longer still. But the day will come, and I very much look forward to it!
Hi Frank. I'm sorry I have been absent a while. One of my pried records is an LP of SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER ST (1977) 📀.Actually, I have found my VIBE SOUND turntable is way better than I expected it would be.
@@Channel33RPM Well, not to get too personal Frank. But I had a REALLY SERIOUS illness back in 2020. And it takes time to get back into a routine. I have been better for some time now. So I am trying to get back in touch.
@@Channel33RPM "Journey" was a good way to put it Frank. It was one of those things where you spontaneously collapse, and then you wake up in the Hospital. And the nurse says: "Sir, you're a very lucky man. We thought we had lost you." ✝ Another LP I especially like is MICKY MOUSE DISCO. A lucky find where I shop. Pretty pristine condition!
So if you are from the UK and move to Australia and you drop your vinyl, it ends up on the ceiling...😂😂loving these episodes!
Haha, it does make sense 🤣

Wuster shure
Thanks for doing these segments, Frank. Much appreciated.

So true... we are all more similar than we are different (and pets too).
As always such a pleasure to see people who into music and vinyl.
We are not alone on this Planet
I recently subscribed and I’m very glad I found this channel ☺️ the submitted pictures were so impressive, music dens are so cool 🎶
A. On Wisconsin!!
B. That Russian dude? I think I have that gray boombox in the corner.
I could watch these videos ALL DAY :D I love looking at how other people have their set-ups 👍 Excellent video's man ;)
Glad you enjoyed it! I'm trying to do one a month. It's a lot of fun.
Fantastic work man, keep it up ;)
Yes a tip in Australia is another way of saying rubbish dump. Gidday from Perth Western Australia
Wow these are beautiful rooms! I ran out of room and have half my cd collection in boxes. This has given me inspiration.
12:48 I'm loving that vintage Akai cassette deck. I have a similar one and I really dig that vintage brushed steel look of vintage equipment of that era. :)

Good info... one of these days, I will definitely try one out.
Always love your episodes of vinyl dens Frank, could sit and watch these for hours. Some real cool kit as well. Thanks for sharing !!
Glad you enjoyed it. Cheers Graham.
My music room is far from cool, but it's mine.
A cool music room is whatever suits your needs, and you fine comfortable... that's the way I look at it.
Awesome video. It is true music brings us all together 😊
Yes it does!
Always love looking at all these great listening rooms. Thanks Frank for sharing.
This is a great video! I love these rooms, so cozy!
I especially like the black and white abstract art on view in the music den of the guy in Arizona.
The big one is a Jackson Pollock print, picked out by my wife.
Always love these music room videos, but I’m always jealous. Wish I had one.

Yep tip is the garbage dump. We call it the tip in England too. Also the name I call my sisters house but that's a different story.
Another great segment Frank!! LOVE these!!!!!!
Thanks man!

I swear.... that word is going to be the end of me, lol. Thanks man!
Worcester is actually the name of the main city in the county of Worcestershire!
Great rooms, as always!

Thank you.
Just a quick’thanks’ for featuring my den, Frank! 👍🙂🤘

LIKE 400. Lots of amazing music rooms once again and all suiting the various unique tastes of their lucky owners. :)
Thanks for liking!
Great video but a total fail, too many damn commercials. Thumbs down.

I’d love to have one like it.
Max, total respect on the system, and also the consoles! Really nice collection!
Thank you for the vinyl den tours Frank. We love to see how others across the world listen to and store their music. Have a blessed day! 🙏
I appreciate that. All the best!

Always enjoy watching these videos. Some brilliant music dens here, always gives me new ideas for my own room.
Glad you like them!
"Woostersheer" is the phonetic spelling. Way easier to say.
Thanks so much for featuring my music room! (Brandon from Apache Junction, AZ).
Very cool space. Thanks for sending it over.
Nags looks awesome!
Cheers geeze 👍👍👍
The tip is the same as a garbage dump/landfill.
Hi Frank, suggest just go with the Tech-nick. Never heard of Tech-neck elsewhere.

Great room(s), Steve. Thank you for sending this stuff over!
@crazyprayingmantis5596 any time you're in Wollongong dude, swing by for a beer 🍺
I saw that Rosetta Stone tour 1990 !!
Fun video. Thanks for putting this together!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Does anybody ever position speakers properly away from corners and wall
Some people don't have the space, and like me go for front ported speakers. Like bear grills says, adapt and overcome
Awsome video 👏 👍 🎶
Thanks!

Hi Frank, great video. A tip is rubbish dump.
Thanks.. and thanks for the 'tip' about the tip. \m/
What an awesome place the Nags is, this Steeeve Andrew’s must be some sort of genius!
Is this Steve using a different account :)
@@Channel33RPM Just a sarcastic friend! Although the Nags is an awesome place.
@rufusm_au Hello Mr Bill 😂
@Channel33RPM fair call , if I had 2 accounts I would have said something similar 😂
I love it 😀
👍! 🤝. Thank you for the video!
Great video again Frank-love the music room vids! A "tip" is a NIM bin or dumpster I believe.
Thanks - and thanks for the info about a 'tip' - cheers!
have you received the package i sent you i hope you will enjoy it anxiously looking forward to your review of this band.
I did get it this week - thank you. Give me a few weeks and I will report back. Cheers!
"Tip" = Dumpster
A Tip is the local council waste dump. In Britain a dumpster is called a skip or large dustbin.

Appreciate it, JC!
Cool episode!
It's Worcestershire in the UK
That word trips me up every single time....
Seeing that photo of Check Your Head as a poster above a couch was awesome. It's kinda funny in a way as it's like hanging out with them.
Worcestershire - pronounced Wu stuh shuh.
The same way we in the UK always mispronounce Maryland.....unless we've watched The Wire.
