I've been trying to encourage my mother to workout more and one of my points was to start slow. This is a trick I learnt from Atomic Habits. I think we've been taught that you have to workout for an hour to see results, but to build a habit you can start by doing 5-10 minutes on a treadmill consistently for a few days. Often times we will realize 10 minutes is too short and we can do more, but putting less pressure on ourselves builds motivation to do more and consistency.
Love that book! This is the best philosophy! The enemy of good is perfection. They say that flexibility is the path to reaching and keeping your goals.
I've been really enjoying my workouts at home and I walk/jog 6 days a week. Your workouts have helped me so much appreciate your wonderful tips and exercise ideas. I've lost almost 7kg and feeling so much better in my body.
Last year you got me into using heavier arm weights and I noticed that I can now carry a heavy handbasket at the store without feeling like I’m tearing my shoulder joint out of its socket! Also, I’ve noticed that it took about 3 months of occasional arm workouts (I only do it once per week, if that) I’m starting to see definition in my arms. It wasn’t how much I lifted-I only lift 5-8lbs, but the period of time that my muscles had been exposed to strength exercises. Sort of a muscle memory creation. I feel like that isn’t something I’ve ever heard regarding muscle building. But it’s similar to how the brain will become more efficient doing something over time, even if it isn’t done regularly.
Hi Sanne I’m so happy I found your channel as it’s really helped me focus on eating and exercising well. I’m in my mid 50s with a few health issues and I need to take better care of myself. I’m loving your recipes ❤
You are so young yet so inspiring.. i am a 41 y.o. but feel so hooked to your channel.. how you manage to be so successful but still very humble. Keep inspiring and i really thought you are awesome.. warm regards from Indonesia ❤🥰
you’re my really 1st inspiration in life sanne🤍 the way your put your mental in priority as the same level as the way your body looks. you have a beautiful soul, i can see it🌱
9:25 RECIPE start marianting the salmon with soy sauce and rice vnegar, maple syrup and teryaki sauce (the longer the better) 8 mins in air fryer , when its cooked smash the salon cut persian cucumber and greek onion use the lettuce boats tto put the rice, add the salmon and top with the greens
Yes yes! I agree with what you said! Starting to do something is the hardest part for reducing felling tiredness. Once I moved to do something, I feel better than doing nothing! 🥰👍oki I am going out now!!! Thank you for reminding me! 😉❤️
Just watched another vlog of you (one this morning) and loved this one as well. The quality of your vlogs has changed sooo much over the years, it's way more professional now, but also more personal. And all the food looks AMAZING! Keep up the great work Sanne!
Thanks for the discount code! I had a SSB membership before when it was on sale and really enjoyed it because not only do you get workouts, but also yummy healthy recipes! :)
I agree, feeling and looking strong as a woman is beautiful and also so fun! There are so many outdoor activities you can enjoy when you have done the work to strengthen your upper body. You should try sea kayaking!
My dietitian said since my weight doesn't fluxuate (spelling?) I don't have to change my diet. Just exercise and lose 9 pounds. I was so tired this week. My dietitian and I were talking about that yesterday. The hardest part about exercising is getting started.
Sanne thank you again for another uplifting video ♥️ I loved the workout you did; and really valued what you said about engaging the core and performing slow controlled movements. Your post meal looked absolutely amazing 😊 And I really took in when you spoke on lowering cortisol levels and getting enough rest/sleep as well. So I basically enjoyed the entire video lol :) Thank you 🙏🏻 thank you 🙏🏻
Strange your acu recommended sweating. That’s usually a well known TCM principle for depleting your qi. I hope she said to do a short workout and don’t do it often or sweat very heavily. Circulation problems from someone who is healthy and active like you usually stem from a more deficiency side and I would recommend actually eating more warming foods and blood building foods to boost circulation. But I’m curious to see how you respond to the introduction of vigorous sweat-inducing exercise.
@sannevloet recommendation I have for getting that look is do LOTs of back! Lats (pull downs, rows) and try doing like 1 day a week where you only do 3-4 back movements but do a high weight (like a 25-30 lbs dumbbell) and you will be shocked how strong you get and how amazing you will feel!! I hope you don't mind me sharing, but its something I have found so fun and I think my arms went from my biggest insecurity (looks wise) to angelina terminator look LOL
Sanne, how can I thank you!! You have been such an encouragement to me in my own health and wellness journey and I am so grateful for all the wonderful recipes you have provided❤ Please keep creating content like this and encouraging us to nourish our bodies❤ P.s. I made your pumpkin lentil salad yesterday for lunch and it was soooo amazing! How do you come up with such delicious and nutritious recipes?!?😘😘
You are so welcome ❤ Thankyou for your kind words, they mean a lot! The pumpkin salad is one of my fav!!!! ( pumpkin is my fav vegetable in winter hehe) but I get a lot of inspiration during travel, studying different cuisines en being creative in the kitchen :)
You mention you have poor circulation. Would love to know if you find anything that helps with this. I have Raynaud's disease where my fingertips turn white and go numb. I ended up moving out of California and to Southern Florida because of it. The warmer year-round weather has greatly helped.
Hi Sanne, I have a question: what do you do or wear that your gym top doesn’t show everything? ☺️ (so you don’t need to wear a bra under it). What training outfit brand are you wearing?
Hi Sanne! When doing workouts and making that mind to body connection, I struggle to focus on multiple muscle groups at once, it is very challenging for me. I want to do intentional workouts and I want to make sure I am doing the exercises right, while hitting all the right muscles. How would you recommend working through this? Big hugs back to you! 🩷 🌟
Hi Sanne, you look so strong and healthy! Congrats! I'm going to follow your suggestions to loose the usual couple of kg I gain during winter to protect my old bones from cold 😂
Hey Sanne I love matcha and I usually drink oat milk but I’ve heard that it’s not so good for u especially the ingredients, is there any other milk alternative u suggest because I never know which one to get❤
True! I have been minimizing oatmilk as it contains lots of seed oil and sugars. When I am out and about I opt for coconut milk or almond milk. At home I use a brand called “Malk” it only uses 3 ingredients and is very clean
@sannevloet If your life were a movie, I would watch it in one sitting.😊 You are my inspiration and idol!! ✨ You are a Pisces like me and you are the only person I follow on TH-cam. 🤜🤛 Please stay healthy and fit and continue to inspire me forever!!🌸

Yes! Building slow consistent habits over time is so important and sustainable. I hope you found some inspiration in this video :)

I started with 15 min/week, now I am working out 2,5 hours/week.
I've been really enjoying my workouts at home and I walk/jog 6 days a week. Your workouts have helped me so much appreciate your wonderful tips and exercise ideas. I've lost almost 7kg and feeling so much better in my body.
Wow wow wow!!!! I am so proud of you, 7kg already! I’m glad the workouts & recipes help!!
Thank you! I did not feeling like exercising today, it’s raining and I feel tired. But after watching this I am changing into my work out gear 💪🏻

I loved this video, I like how you talked about honoring your body and knowing when you feel genuinely tired or just not wanting to do the workout.

why not carbohydrates?
Rice? Veggies?
If you are truly a health practitioner/enthusiast, you should know that air fryer is dangerous.

Where is the avocado?
You used a cup to scoop up the ice… just so you could put it in another empty cup…May I have the patience you do in life😭
Have you had your thyroid checked recently? It could just be due to your low BMI, but your thyroid is super visible...
Yes I actually got it checked last week with blood work and looked all good! 👍🏻

Does anybody Else have the problem that the nekohama matcha tastes a little bitter? 😮
