I have used these before years ago, a different much less expensive brand, but same thing. Eyeshadow does not wear well with these. You can see the tape and outline of the tapes once eyeshadow is applied, sadly. Also it's hard to get them in just the right place. Your extra skin can fall over the tape and that t s not a good look.

Forget the negative Nay Sayers. The whole reason we all watch youtube is to see what is out there and what others are using. I appreciate you going through the products you use! I completely forgot all about Embryolisse and love that you reminded me. Keep doing what you are doing for those of us in our 50's we love to see what other ladies over the age of 40 are using.
Thank you for your tutorial Nicole I really like these I wear them all the time except when I'm around the house if you put them on top of makeup if they don't look as natural but I put them before I put my makeup and avoid some of the color eyeshadows that really make some show up I play with it a lot I love them

I bought them and I love using them. I was considering eye surgery,because the one eye really droops almost covering the eye,this is a great alternative.
Can you wear eyeshadow with them? If so, do you put the eyeshadow on before or after?
@@mindmaven5432 You really can’t wear eye shadow, I tried but it didn’t look good. Maybe you will have better luck, but don’t put it underneath. Hope this helps.
Diane, you know that a procedure called a Blethoplasty is covered by insurance when you can no longer see bc of lids covering your vision.
I was a Medical Assistant and saw many people have it done.

If you don’t want to watch long videos then don’t click on them. Nikol has always taken her time to explain different beauty routines which include products no matter if they are hers or other manufacturers. Complaining about watching a long video to find a piece within is your choice. It is not the fault of the one posting the video. A suggestion would be to scan through the video until you find the images of what you may be wanting to see. As someone who watches TH-cam a lot, I learned this early.

Maybe these are better but I've been buying these strips at Sanrio for $1.50 & I lOVE them! They will stay on for days & you get lot of them .

Do you apply these first and then eyeshadow or eyeshadow and then the strips?
@@annie-stark The strips are better applied to clean bare skin and then kind of work the eyeshadow on. if you put on eyeshadow first the tape will not stick to your eyelids all day
This is not a new item--the Korean market has had this for years. Eyeshadow over the strips is not seamless. I wonder if this is somewhat stretching the skin in that delicate area even more.

This product uses adhesive that stays put all day. I tend to have oily eyelids and must use a primer daily. I would really like to see a full makeup tutorial while using these strips. While the soft natural look you have just shown is lovely, how about a more 'going out on the town' look while still wanting a full eyelid?

@@marizzy63 I tried something similar and tried eyeshadow on top and it honestly looked so obvious even without makeup. Maybe some ppl don’t care if they show but I noticed way too much.
You can dip a regular eye lash curler under warm water for 30 seconds. Shake off excess water. Work's great for curling lashes.
Or hit it with a hair dryer
I blow-dry heat my curler but not too hot. I'm gonna try your way.

These have been on the Asian market for probably 50 years. you can get them on Amazon for 7 dollars. I will write the link for you as soon as I look it up because that’s where I order mine and no you cannot use them over eyeshadow because then they will not stick and her tape you can’t put eyeshadow over it because Eyeshadow won’t stick to it but the one on Amazon that I use looks very very real because it’s matte not shiny and you can use eyeshadow over it
Asian women have used eyelid tape for years to attain the look of a double eyelid.
You can purchase the same thing at Daiso (the Japanese dollar store) or on Amazon.
I can't speak to the quality of the adhesive vs this brand but they're cheap enough to at least get an idea of how to use the eyelid tape, if it works for you etc. and then purchase this brand. I've found the adhesive on the cheapo brand can be spotty. Sometimes it lasts, sometimes it doesn't. But once you get the placement right, wow! It really does lift a hooded eye.
These are not a new invention. Eyelid crease tape just like these have been available on the Asian beauty market for years! 🤣🤣
And on me it looks very obvious and fake. And you can't wear eyeshadow over them and it look natural.
Right. My cousin has been a Drag Queen for 25 years & he's always used these as well as the face lift tape for your temples and jawlines the entire time. These are just old theater tricks that have been around for decades.
I’d love to know where I can get them because if I buy them through lids by design by the time the shipping is added it’s about 50 bucks for a little pieces of sticky plastic!

THEY WORK! Buy em! I have tried the cheap ones off of eBay and what a waste of $3 LOL....these ARE worth every penny and they last far longer than you would think. I will definitely buy them again when I run out. THIS is the ONLY brand I will use. They actually DO stay stuck on all day and make up goes over them perfectly and a primer does help but you have to let them “set” for a couple minutes first. I do love them! (No, I am NOT getting paid to buy them! A a matter of fact I am in Canada so I paid about 30% more than most due to the dollar exchange!! Grrrrr! Still worth it and yes, I did “waste” a couple in trying to get them placed correctly but only a couple and now it is just like tying a shoelace!) Absolutely thrilled wth them!

Mary J, you could also have an easy surgical procedure for dropping eyelids that insurance pays for.
If I remember correctly it's called a Blethoplasty, search it,
ask your eye surgeon or any OPTHALMOGIST.
I was a Medical assistant before. I saw lots of male & female patients who had this procedure and their insurance pays for it because when the lids droop to the point of not being able to see as well, insurance pays for it.
I know you said that you have deep set eyes and that's exactly what happens as we age gracefully.

Loved this video - I am using mine and improving but watching you do it helped me know I am doing Ok and at 71 my eyelids are very droopy. Thank you so much!
I love that Lids by Design has an assortment pack so we can try them and find out which size works best for us. But when we do find out which size gives us the look we want, are we able to purchase just that size. Or will we have to purchase all the sizes just to get the one size we need and be stuck with sizes that we do not want? It looks to me like all the boxes are assorted sizes. Also how many of each size are in the box. Neither your website nor the product website has that information.
Having said that what she didn’t tell you is that when you look down you can see the tape. I think after years of searching , the ones that I got off Amazon are the least visible because They don’t have the shine of the tape ......it’s like the different between the invisible tape over regular shiny scotch tape

I have seen horrible eye surgeries in my 30 plus years, people get so desperate and afraid to age. I love you came up with something as simple as these.
I do absolutely believe in facial yoga an micro current for the lids as well but this is really quite impressive.
Thank You for being natural and showing us what a beautiful and classic women really looks like. Not pulled and tugged and injected. I know some women do that and I honor them but I love you are real especially on a platform like TH-cam that can and does make so many feel less than.

I like hooded eyes.
I have tried a similar product. If you put them on over eyeshadow they don't stick so well and don't look the same texture as the rest of the eyelid. If you put eyeshadow on top of them, it doesn't stick to the patch the same as your skin and the colour makes the outline of the patch really obvious.
I think hooded eyes are stunning. Wouldn’t try to change them unless they obscure vision…just my opinion.

She is definitely to talkative and not really good looking be 4 or after makeover. YUCK
Mine came a few weeks ago and i love them. But it takes time and practice to put them on your lids. I have it down pat now. Your lids need to be clean and dry when you apply them. Wait at least 10 minutes before doing your makeup. Also make sure you have lightly held and pressed them to your lid. They look like they are not there then and it adheres better. The instructions advise you to do that. I slept 2 nights before changing them when I didn’t have makeup on.

No, it doesn’t affect the mascara in any way. I have it and it works great.

You really can’t use eyeshadow with these you can’t use them under the tape because of the tape will not stick to your lids and you can’t put them over this tape because you’ll have a spot where powder won’t stick and it will make the tape more visible. like I said, the Asian market has better and cheaper ones I get mine off of Amazon and they don’t have the shine

I just got my order (I got the multiple size pack) - I only need to wear on one eye. I've worn them twice with no eyeshadow (just eye pencil & mascara), all day. No irritation at all. I think they look great. You can hardly notice them. I will give an update when I try with Primer/eyeshadow.

I'm using eyelids tapes till three years ago becoz my one eye is smaller than other. So before makeup i used this tape and then i apply eyeshadow to cover up that tape. But i love ur simple makeup especially eyes makeup and lipstik. 👌👏😊

If you can't see because of eyelid drooping, there is a covered by insurance procedure called a Blethoplasty.
Ask your physician or any Opthalmologist about it if you are interested.

I am in my mid-forties and never had gray hair. Now I can see a bunch and they are all 4-5 inches long. If that is the worst my body gets from this pandemic, I will be one of the lucky ones indeed.

I embrace my hooded eyes and they are beautiful, I dont think they need fixed as such.

I have really fleshy hoods, to the point where people will ask me if I have had an allergic reaction. They are the size of big saddle bags and I really don’t think these would help me. They are a family trait from my mother’s side of the family, which part the indigenous northern Swedish Lappland Samis that are reindeer herders. We all joking say that we have inbuilt eyeshades for the harsh weather light on the snow.
I have thought of having them rectified but they are a big part of my heritage, so I have just had to learn to live with the 🤔😏
Swedish heritage here as well. As a child I can remember looking at my grandmother's eyes and thinking they made her look so sad. That's my child's version; now that I'm 71 "I" look sad❗I totally get where you're coming from.

I think to show/use some brands, you do have to recognize them in order to use them on video. Also...you get yours at Amazon? Have you done any research on Bezos? @@janeta3509 with me, despite using the primer, the eyeshadow didn't really stop on the strips. It was fine on the mobile lid but not the socket area.
So many asking that question, a reasonable question. But Im guessing the answer is No amd thats why they wont tell us
The reason they don’t tell you is I think the strip she is selling is shiny plastic. the ones I have been using for five years I found on Amazon and they are actually fabric netting flesh colored and you can use eyeshadow over those but not underneath them because they will lose their tackiness anyway it’s better to use something that is not shiny because shiny is so visible check out Amazon so you don’t have to spend $40

I have large eyes that are starting to be a little hooded but I wear eyeshadow everyday and you don’t show or say anything about being able to apply eyeshadow. I will just work with my eyes because I love my eyeshadow. Thanks 😊

I have tried. I bought the special primer but I don't think it works too well. You can use eyeshadow on the lid though. Of course it could just be me but I don't think you need eyeshadow anyway with these.

I was so interested to see this video. You applied the eyelid tape so effortlessly ! I say that because I bought Beauty Logic eyelid tapes and after several attempts last year, I gave up. They didn’t melt into my skin and didn’t look right-my eyelid skin was “bunched” up ! I’m 66 and my eyelids lay on my lashes ! Are my eyelids too far gone for this type of product? Tomorrow I will attempt another try at this. Love your videos.

Nikol I have always had hooded eyes, but the last few years they have been really droopy. I love the idea of these strips, however I noticed you didn't use primer or eyeshadow. With these strips on are you able to use any makeup on your eyes?

I thought this was supposed to be about how to put these things on for hooded eyes, no an eye makeup lesson, what the hell, she talks way too much and loves herself too much. I'm sick of this already, enough. You talk about hooded eyes, she does not have hooded eyes, mine are really hooded and she has lost my interest plus who knows if this crap works, just wants money.
Perhaps you are so bitter and nasty because your lids ARE so hooded and hers aren't? Or, the fact that she DOES have some love for herself and the confidence to do a video? Is it wrong to love yourself? Are you jealous, in a bad mood, or just hateful? If your just havin' a bad-ass day, then I'm sorry.

You can apply eye makeup just depend what material her eyelid tape are made from.

What about putting eye shadow over the adhesive? Wouldn't it show up visibly and/or make it unstick? You seemed to have applied without any eye shadow at all.

I bought these and they do work. You are better at getting them off the strips though.
I tried this and DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! In theory, it looks like it will work, and kind of does, but every time you pick up one of the stickies, the part that touches the tweezer never lays down on your eye lid. I did get one to lay down but then after about 15 minutes, it started to come off. I mean...for $50.00 bucks! No, don't buy it.

No you cannot because the tape will not stick over the powder you have to put them on bare eyelids
Did I miss something? I don't remember you using your eye primer or shadow. Will the strips not stick then or do you use products over them? I want them regardless❗
It would be nice to see this demonstrated on a person without HUGE hoods.
