It's amazing how much Richard looks and sounds like Gaston even in real life, also funny seeing Lefou's voice actor in actuality being a perfect double of the character only slightly taller and without the gap tooth.
This was filmed for a television special (you can see the boom's shadow in several shots)...Richard white would not have appeared in the parade on a daily basis... Having performed/and stage managed in the Parks, I can tell you that we never would have dressed White AS Gaston...it confuses the Guests. The red sweater is a nice homage...
Kind of a problem there....White never voiced any other Disney characters...although he was apparently considered for the voice of Ratcliffe in Pocahontas...
I'm surprised Richard White never auditioned for the Broadway musical. The stage version came out only a good six or seven years after the the animated film.
How do you know he DIDN'T get an audition? There would have been a very small list of actors considered for this role....he would have been great, as witnessed by this video Burke, however, OWNED that role!
@@axelkyster2642 I don't know if you're a fan of him or not, but I absolutely admire him. Love him from Yeston & Kopit's Phantom. I also collected quite a few videos of him in musicals and interviews with Disney. But his videos are quite few, because he doesn't appear much. He's so great!
@@elliesandy9108 BIG fan...although I haven't gotten to see him in much. I was lucky enough to meet him back in the day (When I was the big G at Disneyland...cough cough...)
Ohh! Know Richard White from Phantom over. I watched his voiceover video from yours in "Behind The Scenes" and the short "Classic Interview With Paige O'Hara and Richard White". Hope you make more videos about him. Have a great day! Thank you.

Richard White had to portray the voice part of Sam in the Sam And The Firefly Written And Illustrated By P.D. Eastman book before long he had to portray the voice part of Gaston.
Trying to push realistic visuals when they’re supposed to be magical will never work. And that’s one of the many reasons why the original continues to be brilliant and the remake continues to be underwhelming :/
Absolutely fantastic. Revisiting these old favorites and getting to see the original voices perform has been fantastic.
His voice is DOPE!

That's actually not Lefou's voice. It's just a regular cast member.
@@Thomas_H._Smith I thought that was Jesse Courti actually.
@@Thomas_H._Smith Sad that Jesse didn’t physically sing as LeFou.
I would have loved to see a live version of Richard White's "The Mob Song"
I guess they forgot to make the Gaston costume? Cause he's dressed pretty casually compared to everyone else.

Thanks for your video. Please make more videos where Richard White voices Disney characters as much as possible. I really like his voice! Thank you.

3 years actually.
It's a pity! Although Richard is an opera singer with a tenor and baritone voice, he has performed other plays on Broadway without this B&TB.😥

do The Hunchback of Notre Dame voice actors
He has such an amazing voice, I would be thrilled to even sound half as good as he does
No one's bright like Gaston
Flies a kite like Gaston
No one's voiced by the great Richard White
For some reason, I just cannot imagine Gaston ever flying a kite.
@@Thomas_H._Smith Probably not, but it rhymes. Plus, if he did, he'd be fantastic at it.

Gaston, everyone's favorite jerk.😅

Richard could play Pilate in a audio production of Jesus Christ Superstar.
Eu sempre amei; todos das falas do belo filme são incríveis. Bons Tempos do show das cenas.
When Disney cared....
D261 as Gaston
