QUICK CORRECTION (kind of): It turns out that there are some items (which I actually already had in-game) that do give you some permanent bonuses but they ARE NOT items you get in-between runs or deaths. It turns out that they are randomly dropped items you acquire from powerful enemies (the ones with gold rings around them) . I actually have some on each character already but I didn't realise it because the game didn't tell me about them. When I found them during a run, they seemed the same as any of the other buffs/ upgrades. So basically, when I died, I assumed they were lost. Apparently not haha!
do you have any idea how many games I played and had power ups or abilities that I didn't know I got until I died? no, you wouldn't know how many. how could you? it's a lot anyway.
I really enjoy the rogue-like types of games and have all the ones you mentioned, I am however on the fence about this game. I am not sure I personally could compensated for low fps and control input lag.
Yea that's fair enough I think. Its not horrendous or anything but If you're on the fence I would say wait for a sale. I guarantee this game will be on sale at some point. Perhaps put it on your wish list on the eshop and grab it at a later date? Thanks for watching :)
Well thank you very much :) Yea it's not a bad game at all. It's just a bit low budget that's all. But you know, for the price, it's a decently fun time. I hope you enjoy it if you decide to get it! Thanks for watching.
@@ConsolesOnlyGaming Of course also to throw this out there The only real rogue like games I really like is Hades, Rising Hell and the Binding of isaac mainly just the art style of for Issiac because I love that style of art work. For Zengeon it caught my eyes mainly because it anime and it definitely reminded me of Hades so I definitely wanted to look into this game.

Haha! Your comment genuinely made me laugh dude. If the game had of told me that they were a thing when I got one, I would have known! lol.

Are you sure there are no passive story upgrades you can earn and keep after dying? I think there are some.

Its English text but Japanese spoken language. There isn't much voice acting in general though.
