Here where I live we don't need a permit in the winter, I just go about building piles all summer and once there is a half foot of snow I light them all at once. Sometimes its a little hard to get the pile lit in the winter but a little diesel and a leaf blower do the trick.

The box blade worked great for pushing the remnants back into the fire. Great work.

Nicely managed fire, Phil. I like your plan to fix the soil too! Cheers!

Hello new friends, Pastor Fred here in Rockwood TN. Just found you today, Mar 19 2022. I take care of my 95 yr old mother at a 1 acre city plot for now, but have 20 acres of forest I am planning on building a cabin on, starting soon I hope. Regardless, like the way you presented this video, I will be watching more in the future. Keep it up!!

I can’t believe how much more leaves are on the trees there compared to here. That’s was a good fire 👍!

Just a little bit of elevation makes all the difference! All the gums, poplars and maples really leafed out in the last week. Oaks are popping their messy pollen flowers now and will be leafing out next.

That pile was ready to go burned very well. I usually try to have my bucket on the front end loader when burning brush to push the pile back together, but the box blade worked good too. Take care and be safe.

I've used the bucket in the past too. I like the Box especially for digging/grading to smother any grass fires that escape. It was damp and not windy this time to not as much of a concern, but I've done other burns where it seemed like I was constantly putting out grass fires.

Nice fire! I have a pile almost ready to burn, I have a root rake I use for burning, lets me manipulate the pile, and fire won't hurt the iron. We have restrictions on how big a pile we can burn, I usually have a couple piles, start the fire, then add as it burns down.

We are slowly doing this on our 38 acres since the logging company finished clearing a couple of acres around our house and stables.

Nice fire, just did the same thing last night! Nature will reclaim that area in no time. Just think it is less to have to mow for a month or 2. 😆

Nice job! Just found out about your channel. Great to find other new channels with like-minded videos. I am getting my burn pile together on my new property. The builder left me a lot of JUNK! 😢+1 to the subscribers list!

Awesome! Thank you! I've done numerous burns over the past couple years as we've worked hard to clean up our overgrown property. This was by far the largest. It always amazes me how much material can be eliminated by burning :)

They did! I had to pull some coals out off to the side because they couldn't get close enough to the main pile.
