This was a great haul. Empty purse, full jeep indeed! You guys have such a way with words! I do enjoy your uploads. You’re both so calming, and pleasant, and your stories are always entertaining. You’re really well informed, too. Loved this!
Fabulous haul!! My neighbor friend had that kitchen set. I remember going to her house and we'd play for hours with it. We had so many kitchen stories we played out. Someday, if I can find it close to complete for a reasonable price, I plan on adding it to my collection. Uh-Oh, kitty troubles. Your doll restoring/cleaning talent saved the day!
Awesome Haul ❤ Everything is so cute 💕 I love everything you got. Great video ❤ Thank you for sharing. I love your videos. Hope you are having a great weekend ❤
September 8th is my birthday and when I watched this video it made me smile you guys are amazing at making you TH-cam videos and you make a lot of people smile and happy
This video was awesome , I listened to it while cleaning my kitchen periodically peaking on the screen, I can definitely relate about pet accidents, I’ve recently gotten a little Lop Bunny and she’s been have pee accidents all over
Thank you so much! I'm sorry to hear your Lop Bunny is having accidents too. I know that bunnies can be litter trained, but it's not always easy (my childhood bunny was).
Awesome video so sorry about the cat pee I know that was a stress I have a cat too but you are so knowledgeable about taking odors out that was a great haul You are my number 1 ytuber all I know about cleaning dolls and restringing them I learned from your videos ❤ I enjoy watching you girls thanks for always sharing God bless you both ❤
Yep, as soon as I saw the Kenner logo on Erica it made identifying her so easy! Unfortunately most people don't want cats that have accidents, and if you drop them off at a shelter they are euthanized for that reason :( He just needs some time to adjust, and I have him blocked from my doll studio from now on.
Omg, you've just unlocked a childhood memory! I've just remembered I had two sets of inflatable furniture, a bedroom one and a living room one, back in the eighties. I think I remember the vanity you were holding? They had the most garish flower pattern 😂
It's so cool you had some of that same inflatable furniture! I first found out about those sets about five years ago when I got an inflatable kitchen and living room in a Barbie case.
Nice finds! I have a strong feeling these dolls belonged to someone with an unneutered cat. Poor Quasi was probably smelling a tomcat and decided "Awww Hell Nah...haha..I'm just now getting situated and we got ANOTHER cat somewhere!"
Oh Shelly. I can relate. I adopted a new cat. He is 4 years old affectionatey called fat Albert and every now and then he misses the box and poops on the floor. I haven't had an issue in my doll room but when I do open the door to my doll room both cats think the dolls are there to pet them. It's hell trying to get them out of the doll room. I have to resort to bribery with a treat that they don't really deserve. You are not alone. BTW I love your videos. Oh and hello to Colleen. I enjoy watching the two of you. You are both so talented. All the best to you and I'm sorry for your cat mishap but you did make me laugh when I was feeling down. Thanks girls!
Aw, thank you so much! I'm glad we could make you laugh :) I'm sorry to hear that your Fat Albert misses the box every once in a while. Cats are SO nosy...they have to go into every room even if you don't want them there!
Wow, that is cool find! I also got some stuff on the same day at a flea market across the world from you guys, but it was only 3 modern Barbies, 2 Kellys and a cute Dream Ella doll (it did remind me of you, because one of the Barbies turned out to be Pioner Woman). My flea market isn't good either and it's only the size of a small parking lot, but I still love going. If you only went there once, you'd think it's not worth checking back to, but if you keep at it you can find dolls like Superstar Christie or Totally Hair Whitney for a couple euros. I'm sure you flea market is the same! 😊 I saw the cat pee incident on Flickr and it sounds horrifying. I love cats but I don't have any, so I've never had stuff like that happen to my dolls. You handled that better than anyone else would have. First thing I would've done is look up your tutorials lol.
Congrats on your finds! Sometimes the smallest places can have the best stuff, if you are diligent and check often :) Thank you so much--I always try to find ways to clean stuff the best I can.
Totally understand the cat issue, my male neutered cat Cosmo is constantly spraying up surfaces. We have tried everything to deter him and it’s horrible when you discover cat pee on something special xx
I'm sorry to hear about your cat, Cosmo (love his name by the way!). It's so frustrating when you are doing everything you are supposed to and they still won't use the litter box. Luckily Quasimodo has been very good the last week (not with pooping though).
@@AThousandSplendidDolls thank you, he is a lovely boy, very affectionate, he just has a compulsion to spray so we have to be on the alert. Glad Quasimodo is getting better with using his litter tray, cats all have their funny little quirks but I just love them so much! Xx
Omg I have been going through the same thing and my OCD is going crazy, I bought a collection of dolls on ebay and my one female cat was spraying on the box, I also found poop on my new doll bed, so cleaned everything up and stored in my doll room now.
I'm so sorry to hear that you are experiencing the same thing with your cat! It's very frustrating, especially when you've tried everything they recommend.
Are your cats outdoor cats? If not, maybe Quasimodo has been an outdoor cat and isn’t used to litter boxes? Maybe you could setup several boxes around the house to find his preferred location?
No they aren't outdoor cats--Quasimodo was an indoor cat at his last home too :) I have three different boxes for them, and I keep moving them around based on where he is going.
Sometimes cats that need to be introduced to each other have resource problems. It's always good to have at least one more litter box than cats in the house. In your case, that would be three litter boxes. There is a product called Feliway, I don't know if it's available in the USA, that emits a scent that calms cats. Maybe that will help the two boys too. It's always difficult at the beginning when introducing cats to each other.
I have three litter boxes actually, and they are spread out. They do share the same box on their own many times. They are slowly getting along, I think Quasimodo is just used to being the only cat and he's now on Oliver's turf :)
Sorry you had a yucky week. Our next door neighbor has a semi outdoor cat and the smell is awful. Like a giant litter box. So I understand. I often watch your older videos and I just got a 40th Anniversary Sleeping Beauty after seeing yours. Displayed with rough box. I did a bit of cleaning and curling. Very pretty. Take care.
Thanks :) I'm sorry your neighbor has a cat that makes it smell bad outside. Congrats on getting 40th Anniversary Sleeping Beauty--she's my favorite Aurora of all time!
Great video I aquire my dolls and accessories at the goodwill clearance center you pay by the pound you should try it out I find vintage to modern dolls clothes furniture everything I find alot of food shoes clothes have you tried there
So sorry about the kitty pee! My cats are 15 and one has thyroid and chronic kidney disease so he urinates a lot - i have them in the basement over nights or when i am not here because i was finding vomit and poop rub stains on the carpet😭. Never had been an issue until the one started getting sick in the past year😢
I'm sorry to hear about your kitty :( When they get older it's a lot harder to keep them litter trained. My Andy was 18 and the last few months of his life he would have trouble making it to the box.
I'm so sorry that your new cat is having territorial issues and pooping and peeing outside the litter box. My cat does that too. I have a male and female cat. Both fixed but my male cat was fixed 2 years old and still having very big time territorial issues. Would growl and get upset if someone goes near the front door. I don't know if you have that issue. Certainly at my house
It's a shame that your cat is doing the same thing :( Both our boys are fixed too (we made sure Quasimodo was neutered before we brought him home). I wish we could have conversations with the cats so they'd behave better ha ha!
@@AThousandSplendidDolls yeah but I just live with the behavior now. Mr. Simon is just a very territorial cat. He never pooped or peed anywhere. It's just guards the door. I'll have to do a video on my channel showing you guys how territorial Mr. Simon can be at the door. He will SWAT and bite anybody that is near the door. I'll do an upcoming video of him doing that. Definitely strangers. He will growl and his. Just like a little guard dog
I think he's very spiteful and hateful. Your new boy cat. Definitely trying to dominate for Territory or territorial issues. Or it could be a sign of bladder infection, but that's very rare in male cats.
I think the smell of the dolls put him off. We had our old dolls scattered all over the same floor for the first few weeks, and he didn't pee on them. The pooping outside the box is definitely a territory issue (Oliver hasn't been so nice to him).
@@AThousandSplendidDolls when I was pregnant with my son I used to have a cat and I had to give him away. We had to take him to the vet. He peed into our bed all the time. Because I was pregnant and some kind of hormone said that cut off. I went to the doctor and the vet and the vet said that the baby it was at risk. Never seen a cat so bad. 😭 He was a fluffy orange cat named Leo. Super adorable. But did not like change
@@AThousandSplendidDolls Maybe Quasimodo does not like change. You're a very correct that it's psychological a behavior problem How is your guinea pigs and the chinchillas.
I'm sorry to hear that you had to give your cat away when you were pregnant. I know they can be dangerous around babies if they get jealous/territorial. I had to take one of my guinea pigs to the emergency vet this week, but she's fine now. The chinchillas are doing well :)
I misspoke--I knew she was Erica and I noticed she was really pricey on eBay! I live on the east coast, so that's probably why she turned up at the flea market.
Congrats on the new finds, the Erica is especially nice. I also really love the Twirly Curls doll. Glad she survived the cat's baptism. 😁
