For the money it's not bad at all because TV Box with Pandora's Box 6 cost around the 350 euro shipped.
And I see with your link you can get one of these for around the 450 euro and it even haves 2 IPS screens.

@@Medic7000 Mine has 2 joysticks on each side - also can change the round top to an Oval Top Easily on the joysticks.

I have a Pandora’s box 6 that is giving me an issue with sound. There is no sound when I turn on the unit or play games but if I push the setting button there is that tune playing during the setting menu.. I’ve tried changing the the speaker on option but it does nothing. Do you know what the issue might be?

Great review, do you know if it's hard to duo monitor these pandora box modules I'm assuming this is the 'family' version and not jamma?? Are they just splitting the output?

Ok so after the creeping I like the one on aspect. But I was wondering if it had an option of a video output to put it on a larger screen so others can watch?

Awesome vid retro, just bought for my wife and I!! You said in a previous video that the Pandora’s box no longer comes with preloaded games. Is that the case with this unit?
Surprisingly it had all the games pre-installed. You guys will have fun with it, I'm looking forward to playing it more with Kim.

(like putting recalbox, etc. and play face to face?? Or, would you say to give Pandoro 6 a chance cause of the selection of the games that come with it?
Man great review! I love these reviews on the things from China, but damn the shipping just turns me off! I wonder how much was shipping before we started taxing them for imports? Other than that it looks like a pretty fun system!
Yeah, shipping is rough but the screens are so pretty!!! Seriously doubt the camera picked that up but these IPS screens are freaking beautiful! Thanks for watching and supporting the channel!

Honestly, I have been playing the following on it and having a ton of fun: Metal Slug 4, TMNT, XMEN, Moonwalker and Shock Troopers. It's kind of a mixed bag but that's what I have been playing on it lately.

Just got this delivered today. Took 3 days via fedex after order was processed. I noticed that the side art is bubbly and slightly coming off. Did you fix yours by any chance? Any recommendations? Thanks

squeegee to fix it. Could probably use a hair dryer and your hand to press it into place.
Hey Ralph, which bartop would you suggest to the casual gamer, the GRS mutlicade deluxe bartop plug and play or this Pandora box you reviewed? Not sure which route to go.
what is the aspect ratio on this thing?
also is it possible to change buttons and stick?
I haven't deconstructed it yet but I'm sure you can swap out the buttons and joysticks. I will post an update on that as soon as I take it apart. The aspect ratio is probably not 4:3 ... it doesn't appear to be stretched much but maybe I'm just not that anal about that. It looks awesome though. Thanks for watching!

also please mention in your next vid that not all ps1 games run fine on the pandora 6
some are crashing if you dont disable the rumble function in the menue.

ZOCKOTRON HQ I never stated that it plays all PS1 games, just that it plays them. Good point though and I am aware that it’s not compatible with all PS1 games. I will add this disclaimer to future reviews that include PB products.

I tried to buy this a bunch of times it kept getting an error so annoying I wanted to remove the pandoras box and add a mini pc on the bottom that shipping price is crazy I still want to get this some day but its so difficult to order can you verify if it can be disassembled easily ?

Also, I was wondering if you ran into problems will 15Hz display and getting that converted over to 59Hz to display an old arcade game on a lcd monitor using crt to vga adapter. I tested KI on jamma and got it running but the lcd monitor says “signal out of range”
Let me know if you wanna sell it . I need to get my first pandora box 6 and soooo would love to buy one of these. But will be impossible to find a used one anywhere 🤞

Why not a 4/3 Screen?
The form factor of TV and monitor screens changed when high-definition TV sets became the standard. They basically don't make 4:3 aspect ratio TV sets anymore; those got abandoned for the mass consumer market along with CRT's. It would be more expensive to try to source out 4:3 screens which basically aren't being made anymore. I haven't seen an LCD screen that is 4:3.
16:9 is the new standard, that was decided upon as they were hashing out the standards for HDTV. It was a compromise between the electronics companies and Hollywood to accommodate the wider image of motion pictures. Also, more TV series from the late 1990s onward have been shot in widescreen. It's easy to make borders on the sides and most decent emulators take into account account the games before the 2000s were 4:3 aspect ratio.
Were the games already installed?
rickyshoard To my surprise the games were already installed. However ... new 3A games PB 5 & 6 don’t come with the roms pre-installed.
Thanks Ralph, so it’s a official pandora box 6 that doesn’t need the games to be installed? I was gonna get a normal PB 6. But may change my mind now. Just gotta find one in Australia so I don’t get charged the import duty.
rickyshoard It’s a little confusing. If you buy the official Pandora’s Box from the Pandora’s box store on AliExpress, the games will NOT be installed. After you receive the item you email them and they send you a download link. The one that came with the system in the video is an official Pandora’s Box 6 but the manufacturer of the table tip must have installed the games to make it easier.
Ok thanks for your help. Gonna be tough to find one that’s affordable 😞. From Ali express it gonna cost me nearly $750. Or do I just get a PB 6s for $180. Great channel btw.

I'm not sure but they might. You can always go to the Ali store and ask them, they sometimes take a while to respond but they have done custom things for me before. (Every place is a little different in what they will customize).

@@RetroRalph hope these things come to ebay like other Chinese stuff. Lots of time it's cheaper on ebay than aliexpress. Ralph I know you love to customize your stuff, how about you get some graphics made up to have it be one side vs the other.
For example one side street fight the other snk. Or it could be marvel vs capcom. You get the idea.

You could but I'm not sure it would be worth it at that point. It would be pretty bad ass with the Odroid though, good idea :-)
