Seeing Catwoman fight Cheetah and Cheshire is something I never thought I would see, because it's too obvious, but I dug it. As well as Catwoman putting the moves on Batwoman, while either not knowing or caring Kate Kane is Bruce's cousin.
Young Justice writer/producer Greg Weisman has stated that Catwoman: Hunted is "canon adjacent," meaning a similar but distinct version of the events in the film happened in the Earth-16 universe. Between this and Razer from the Green Lantern animated series I love the expansions to the Earth-16 universe.
I think that's one of the best ways to do supplemental content. I think DBZ's movies can be slotted in between seasons or even as replacements for existing arcs.
Black Mask killing Number One was a reference to The Batman, where Black Mask's Number Ones would also get killed by him. This was a fun movie, even if I didn't like that it abandoned the fun heist vibe halfway through. I would've liked to see a sequel, but apparently it had pretty poor sales.
That's also what I thought with the Matsuda Black Mask from *The Batman 2004* , probably a reference... I loved that version of Sionis, James Remar did a great job voicing him. Both of Black Mask episodes on that show were great, but I'm partial to the one in which Robin and Batgirl had to stop him on their own. Definitely the way I became a fan of the character... and sadly, my favorite live action with Roman Sionis is in that terrible show *Batwoman* , in which he's the Big Bad of season 2. Even a bad show can have some good characters once in a while, and IMHO they nailed Sionis in that show, it's such a shame that almost no one watched his... Plus, their Zsasz is a clear homage to the one from *Gotham* , the one playing him, Alex Morf, was even in the 5th season of that show. Their Poison Ivy, the season 3 co-Big Bad, was awesome IMHO, but they were only allowed to use her for 3 episodes, so it was kinda awkward.

one gripe i had with the movie was the art i feel for phantom/gentlemen/lady thief stories, the art's gotta be weird and classy like Lupin the III (more specifically woman named fujiko mine) imagine a cat woman movie with that kind of art style
I watch enough anime that I don't have a huge expectation of lip flaps being exactly "correct". The Japanese don't care and while American studios edit them to be kind of right-ish when they can … they don't worry when they can't or when the budget doesn't allow it. These were just weirdly out of place.
Personally I was surprised to see this movie was outsourced animated to an actual anime studio (OLM, who made anime stuff like Pokemon, Restaurant to Another World 2, Nagatoro, Komi and Apothecary Diaires) since the style of it was more anime like than the more common animation style used in stuff like the DCAU and Young Justice.
I found it 4 minutes after you uploaded it, I'm impressed with myself. I was watching again the Injustice story videos, not the character analysis and I can to see if you had something new that I hadn't see. And I found it
Cant say too much about this movie, since I haven't seen it. I can agree that Selina Kyle is a complicated character with a troubled past. I'll admit I have never seen a complete origin story for her, unless you want to count Batman Returns with Michell Pfiffer and Michael Keaton, but even then I didn't think that was a real origin. I may have to take a look at the movie. Oh, and I wish they would just either get Batman and Catwoman married (with kid maybe?!!) or just end the flying mouse/cat game that they do all these years. If you recall, Batman and Catwoman of Earth -2 married and had a kid.
I always find it interesting how Batman and Catwoman always have this incredibly close relationship where both are completely satisfied with the distance they have, and how they always seem to know what the other is up to, it is also really cute that she tends to just get his attention just so they can do their own version of flirting which generally will involve a chase. Also that Batman always believes in her, so even when she is stealing something he either knows that there is a good reason behind it or tells her that he knows she can do even more good, she is a nice refresher in Batman's Rogues Gallery where she isn't some crazy psycho that murders people left and right, but rather someone with a lot more depth and goodness to her.

Side note this is the first movie that actually gives cheetah somerespect. Like she is only on the screen for maybe 10 mins but within that 10 mins we are told that she is a demigod, something so many people never want to acknowledge, we get to see her “hunting” which goes into her need and love for the hunt. She could have killed Selena in seconds but she wanted the hunt, she wanted to scare Selena. And we get a pretty cool transformation scene which sounds painful yet euphoric, which basically sums up Minerva’s relationship with urzkartaga. Cheetah has so much potential but it’s always wasted by people who don’t understand her character and what she represents
My only two problems with this movie were that Batwoman was depicted as immediately getting in over her head and not being a very competent fighter, and that the art style was a little too puerile for a movie with relatively adult themes.
I think this movie is pretty good, but the animation feels pretty choppy for how fast and thrilling it wants to be. A shame bc it's genuinely a really strong one-off film.

I feel like this movie would've been better without Greg Weisman Catwoman and Batwoman ship especially sense I don't like that the movie is sexualizing them.

She might be a criminal by society's standards but she does have a code even if it isn't a strict as Batman's. As explained in the film, part of her reason for doing the entire operation which endangered her life was protecting innocent girls from being trafficked by worse criminals so she does have the capacity to be altruistic. Regardless most of her crimes target other criminals or rich people who aren't going to have to worry about their next meal because of her stealing and she actively avoids harming innocents. This alone makes her by far one of the most moral of any of Batman's Rogue Gallery even if she's still a lawbreaker.
