I just picked up one of these today. Can wait to get it out and see what it can do. I was torn between this Christensen MPR and the Springfield Amory Waypoint rifle. Loved the bolt on the Waypoint, but didnt care for the stock. Its a hybrid varmint style stock, but the length of pull is to short and dont care for the more vertical angle of the grip. Ultimate I went with the MPR because I wanted a shorter platform bolt gun with will be good at the bench and offhand. The adjustable chassis platform with the AR grip makes that possible. Im usually not a fan of Chassis rifles, and even less a fan of carbon fiber barrels. I just think carbon fiber barrels are way to expensive for to little gain. I went ahead and bit the bullet on this on though because its a dope little light weight rifle that fits the niche Im trying to fill.
I'm in the same boat you were in. I can't decide between the MPR and the Waypoint. Have you been happy with the MPR??
This gun is underrated
I have the same rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor, shoots sub MOA at 1200 yards. The 2 lb trigger pull is great for hunting, not to light or to heavy. With the stock folded easily fits on my backpack without adding a ton of weight.
What size barrel are you running good sir
24” shooting Hornady 140gr ELD Match ammo. I try several different rounds and this is the one that provided the best accuracy.
Cant decide either in 308 or 6.5??
@@Boot2Ass24 same, I have a lot of Gold match ammo for 308, but always wanted a 6.5cm,
@@Boot2Ass24 If you're not punching paper beyond much more than 500yds, there's not that much 6.5 can provide. 308 will have more ammo available at a cheaper price, more power if you aren't going super far for a kill(should use full power cartridge for that anyway), and can use a shorter barrel w/ much longer barrel life.
If you want a light recoiling long-range paper punching ammo, that 24" w/ 140gr ELD is a very good setup.

All hype , all the videos on this rifle, they never show the groups they shot.. your better off buying a defiance action and a prefit shouldered barrel a put it in a chasis.. that’s what I did and I get 3/8” groups at a 100 yds.. all these rifles have something cheap in it , to make price point.. it’s all marketing snake oil..
