Unfortunately, there will NEVER be a sequel, here's the message from 2020 by Joey Ansah. Hi SFAF fans, Joey here. It has been a long time since the last update on this page and figured it was a good time to update our fanbase on the status of SFWW or any follow up to SFAF: As you may all remember, SFAF was made on an extremely tight budget of $2.5million and a lot of personal financial investment and deferment from all the key cast and crew. All the money went on the screen and not in our pockets to give the best possible product. Making it this way allowed me to maintain full creative control (which is a rarity in movie making). The streamlined story largely set in the Japanese wilderness of Ryu, Ken, Gouken, Akuma etc allowed us to create a high production value on a tight budget. To expand the story to encompass the World Warrior storyline, locations and large roster of characters would require a hugely increased budget and hour long episodes like most cable series we all love to watch. To guarantee the kind of production value (and budget that a SFWW TV show truly deserves) means partnering with a large Studio backed production company. With many studios interested we partnered with one that we believed best understood the 'vision' and more importantly understood the creative process that made SFAF what it was. However working with Studios is never straight forward, contract making takes time (years) in that time, creative execs come and go from a studio, so who you end up working with down the line calling the shots on your show's development may well not be the person you originally pitched to and believed in. You are at the mercy of trying to work as best you can with all the players involved when things finally get moving. As the process developed it was clear that despite being an exec Prod. on the show, I wouldn't be the lead writer or director of the show, and without being in creative control, I would not be able to guarantee an authentic continuation of the SF story in live-action that you have grown to love and support. In any case, without going into too much detail, the Studio we had partnered with had a finite number of years to develop and sell the show to a channel or network, before the contract would elapse. Sadly after all was said and done, an effort to sell the developed show by the Studio happened too close to the gate and didn't land in time. So the rights sit back with Capcom. Hard to fathom that 5 years of work, energy and frustration in the studio system for myself, Jacky and Mark have led to nada....back to Square 1. So in a nut shell do not expect a follow up series anytime in the immediate to near future. Horrible news I know, but all we can do is look forward. I still have a fantastic relationship with Capcom and the fight to do something with them in this space is not over! Over these 5 years I've developed some incredible creative material that in the meantime could see the light of day as a Graphic novel etc. while my team navigate ways to still bring authentic live action SF to the screen. Thanks for your patience, I know this isn't the update you were hoping for, but you deserve to know the truth. Thanks as always for the love and support for the body of SF work we've done thus far. Big love from myself and the rest of the team. ~Joey

As a Martial Artist and how Street Fighter played a role in my life as a kid. This was very well done 👍 From the nostalgic experience and the culture of how Martial Arts plays a role in everyone's lives. Ken's character fits and respect on acting level. Great work guys and look forward to part 2
I really love this movie. so faithful to street fighter. If they did a series it would be a success. Great actors, soundtrack, script. As a fan of street fighter I can say that it fulfilled everything
This is SOOOO GOOOD - I cant believe they couldnt put this on netflix or something, I mean they release some GARBAGE like that stupid movie with Jean-Claude Van Damme, but this is stuck on youtube ? the amount of detail, acting I have never seen something so close to the source material before ! Everything they did , down to Akumas motions, this is unbelievable ! Even the effects are better than half the movies out there.
Only thing I think they cuda did a little better on is Akuma's hair. Its just 2 big. If they had kept it in proportion with his live action human size it wuda looked10x better. It almost looks like it was meant for the video game version of him. But other than that, spot on!
Beautiful film! This is the PINNACLE of Street Fighter films. It put me in an emotional state towards the end. Gouken loved his pupils. Whenever I see an Akuma, I'm going to fight and continue to walk the righteous path.
This movie is all-time best Street Fighter movie ever done, faithful to the series and everything so well done, I only wish they would continue the sequel.
Best street fighter movie ever with good messages for youth and everyone else ! It's not about fighting but harnessing life ! They need to make part 2 of this movie.
See this is what you get when you respect the source material and take it seriously. You get a high quality adaptation the fans will love. When you consider how small their budget was, it makes this even more impressive.
Not gonna lie, I tear up when Ryu and Ken say goodbye. The tears from Goken knowing that he will never see them again. Incredible acting, amazing direction, the martial arts is great, the aesthetics of the whole thing is flawless. I absolutely love this.
I saw this many years ago. Look at the magic the cast and crew created because they loved the source material. Bravo! You guys are all missed sorely and I hope all has been well since this project
Just finished watching this and adding it to my digital collection... I was in tears of joy at the end of Ryu and Ken's fight... such great memories of my childhood throughout this entire movie >>> LOVE IT !!!
After watching it a couple of times in 2014 and then seeing it pop again on here TH-cam for a rewatch... yep i agree with so many comments here... this is fucking sick arse and definitely the best video game adaption ever made. The depth of quality is as genuine and authentic as it can get from the source material, with just enough cheesy elements keeping it grounded and light hearted when needed. Having it focused on the 2 main characters of Ryu and Ken is what allows to keep the richness and stability in tact with Akuma as the antagonist is genius showing the purity in wholeness of what it is to become a master, in relation to the reality of dark and light, with the challenges that can naturally occur within the dynamics of the human psyche. Not overloading the story with too many characters, keeping it minimal which allows for rich and deep character development. I give deep prayers that World Warrior will be taken off the shelves and green lit, allowing Ansah and Howard to keep up with what they created with this 1st one. 11/10
I love this movie. I really wish they could expand on it. The more times I watch it, the more I like it. I really feel like they do a great job portraying relationships between characters in this movie more than most even attempt to do anymore. I like all the actors performances and feel they do a great job. Pretty decent cgi and the story is fantastic.
They should’ve ended the movie with da winner of the fight between gouken and akuma. We know who won they could’ve had Akuma standing over him like he did his master instead of showing us that ryu n ken made it to the city. That’s a perfect ending in my opinion
This is so much better than what I expected. I came across this clip and tapped on play expecting seeing all the characters in student-level CG’s, maybe 15 minutes for each with crappy stories that just don’t makes sense. But all those didn’t happen. The Ken looks surprisingly handsome with perfect body form with beautiful blonde hair.
This was excellent! The only thing is that because this was composed of episodes, it needed to be edited a little better to create a smoother pace. That said, this was epic! Well done!
Can you believe multimillion dollar game adaptations are getting released on a yearly basis, and they don't even come CLOSE to this; an original webseries made by a small team that just REALLY like street fighter with pretty much NO budget? thank you so much for refining it into movie format

The Ken actor is a really close fit for the face. Way better than any of the Hollywood attempts.
agree, although he also looked like a Terry Bogard to me
Agree with u

Unfortunately, there will NEVER be a sequel, here's the message from 2020 by Joey Ansah.
Hi SFAF fans, Joey here. It has been a long time since the last update on this page and figured it was a good time to update our fanbase on the status of SFWW or any follow up to SFAF:
As you may all remember, SFAF was made on an extremely tight budget of $2.5million and a lot of personal financial investment and deferment from all the key cast and crew.
~Joey
But we have this other mini-serie from the same production team: th-cam.com/video/N_Kghk6dA3M/w-d-xo.html
@@KojiroGenji It's really not the same though. Too short.
I've watched this SO many times over the years and to this day it's still the apex of game/ film adaptations... Emotion stirring masterpiece.

Ya la había visto esta peli, es la mejor de street fighter que han hecho al momento, que aprendan que lo que queremos los fans es testa calidad, esto es esto es lo que queremos, la verdad le daría 1000 likes si pudiera
What a great film. It was my first time watching it. Amazing job, the actors were just right for their roles.
As a Martial Artist and how Street Fighter played a role in my life as a kid. This was very well done 👍
From the nostalgic experience and the culture of how Martial Arts plays a role in everyone's lives.
Ken's character fits and respect on acting level.
Great work guys and look forward to part 2
Totally agreed bro. My 8 yr old self came alive and I enjoyed reliving those days during the time of this movie.
This film respects SF, martial arts eastern philosophy and even the bloody history when developing martial arts
This is SOOO good! Just want to play street fighter now lol
Enjoy it!
Back here again after watching the SF 6 Akuma trailer...This character is just the best🔥🔥🔥
Akuma is awesome.
This is perfect. Even their own signature moves were showcased in this movie
Watch and learn, Hollywood. THIS is how your next Street Fighter movie should be done!
It did get a Netflix release and is universally acknowledge as better than the jean claude van coke head film...
Its on netflix already
@@RetroGamesMas I cant believe i never heard of it this is why netflix is going down. Because the search engine sucks
Its because it was a youtube original. Not netflix series
Only thing I think they cuda did a little better on is Akuma's hair. Its just 2 big. If they had kept it in proportion with his live action human size it wuda looked10x better. It almost looks like it was meant for the video game version of him.
But other than that, spot on!
This needs a sequel ASAP,Damn this is insanely well made👏👏👏
Street Fighter: Resurrection bro
U make the sequel in the game, that's why they made it like that
Beautiful film!
Indonesia hadir nyimak
The cast in the film was so perfect. The commitment to the role. Man i love this as much as i did first time. ❤❤
Such an amazing love letter for capcom. Such an amazing adaptation of Gouki's descend to madness to attain perfection
The GOAT of ALL Street Fighter movies, hands down.
That scene with Ken’s pops training with Ryu and Ken was dope 💪🏽🔥🔥 Gotta love the exchange of knowledge 🙌🏽
Grew up playing SF in the 90's. By far the best live adaption of the original story. Absolute Shame this arc was shut down.
This has given me the chills, very well done, I loved it ❤
Not gonna lie, I tear up when Ryu and Ken say goodbye. The tears from Goken knowing that he will never see them again. Incredible acting, amazing direction, the martial arts is great, the aesthetics of the whole thing is flawless. I absolutely love this.
An amazing film. How could they make this and never follow it up?
Look for the story why we can't have a second part. It's crazy. Watch this: th-cam.com/video/N_Kghk6dA3M/w-d-xo.html
I think there was a part 2??
@@ROMSradio nope, they did Street Fighter Resurrection after which was a capcom sell out turkey...
@@cassettelord yeah that’s what I was referring to. I was wondering why it was so different. It’s okay I guess it’s all the same shit to me lol
Quite possibly the best video game adaptation of all time. And yes - that includes Hollywood films.
Hands down the best street fighter movie ever... PERFECTION
best adaptation of anything animated to live action film. Characters, costumes, VFX, everything was right on point. absolutely love this
I saw this many years ago.
Is this the entire movie , it ends abruptly ?
Hey, big thanks for posting this. 🖖🏾🤘🏾🍻
Your wellcome. Find more content here: th-cam.com/play/PLFjQJALMDGNjP78I1GH7cmbRLP1xcoev7.html
Your welcome akuma😅
I’ve been looking for this movie for so long…this is the best live action street fighter movie idk why it did get the recognition it deserved
Never seen a second part. But we have hope.
This was a great movie. Best live action i have ever seen
Then You need to watch this: th-cam.com/video/N_Kghk6dA3M/w-d-xo.html
@@KojiroGenji already was having it planned. Thank you.
I AM THE WORST!!!!
i cant believe i waited so long to watch this💪
They should’ve ended the movie with da winner of the fight between gouken and akuma.
Bro this movie is fire 🔥 they need part 2 asap Great storyline man
This was excellent! The only thing is that because this was composed of episodes, it needed to be edited a little better to create a smoother pace. That said, this was epic! Well done!
A great lesson teaching movie. Thanks for showing us such a good story and a very remarkable characters
100% recomendable 👏👏 thanks for putting it on TH-cam
This is way too good to be a video game, let alone fighting game, series with this amount of care and quality
Can you believe multimillion dollar game adaptations are getting released on a yearly basis, and they don't even come CLOSE to this; an original webseries made by a small team that just REALLY like street fighter with pretty much NO budget?
thank you so much for refining it into movie format
BEST video game movie of ALL TIME!!!!!!!!!!!
I agree.🥰
This is the best Street fighter Movie. Period
This is the first time I've ever heard or seen this one before. Bar none the best live action of any street fighter I've ever seen. 👏👏👏
I remembered playing street fighter game on SEGA.... So excited to finally see the movie😊
To bad we will never see that goken vs Akuma fight💀
We didn't see that even in the game so why do you need closure. That is the suspense and uncertainty.
@@melonmusk397622²
@@melonmusk3976facts we need an actual fight between them
This was awesome. It's the best live action street fight origin story I've seen.
Who is back here after SF6 Akuma reveal?
This is BEYOND good , this IS undisputedly the greatest live-action Street Fighter movie ever made ...
there will never be another one made as great as this one and it complements the great animated Street Fighter 2 movie very well
this was so dope i need to watch it again deserves a part two this is the greatest video game adaptation to film thus far
For a Ghanaian like Joey Ansah to write this into existence bro i cant even imagine. This is gonna make millions
Have you watched Baki?
My favorite Street Fighter adaptation of all time!!!
Do you watch it before?
This is an epic movie. Thanks to the director & cast 👏🏽

Absolutely stunning. And they got the Lore 100% dead on. If only the big producers had this much care and dedication to the fans 😢
