In the actual show Vegeta does the whole "Can an android feel fear?". He also says the line "sit ups, push ups and plenty of juice"
Dr. Gero's voice actor is an actual VA. He is famous for playing Ainz Ooal Gown in Overlord
In the show, I believe it was that the medicine needed to be taken after it appeared, but the virus appeared in the middle of the fight with #19 which is later in the new timeline than it did in Trunk’s timeline hence why he never took it prior.
Technically vegeta is the king of saiyans but his dad never passed him the title so its his way to always show respect to his heritage
No Goku was actually getting sick even before the fight started, his heavy breathing in the original anime and going SSJ actually sped up the virus, Goku realized something was wrong so he was trying to finish the fight quickly, and he didn't take the medicine because he only just started getting sick earlier that day
Personally I like how abridged handled the whole "can you feel fear" question better than the original. Just adding the "let's fix that shall we?" makes vegeta sound badass since even if it's not possible for an android to feel fear he's gonna make it happen regardless and he does do it
Yeah Kakarot cuts down Vegeta's moments, you'll definitely realize that when you get to the FINAL FLASH scene
Fun fact, the lady who did the sound effects for dragon ball/z/gt went on to do the sound effects for one piece. They are both Toei anime after all and one piece started like 2 years after GT finished. So yes the swallow sound effects are basically the same and if you listen closely a lot of the punch and beam sound effects are similar
What's funny is that Vegeta wining/crying about how he "wanta be a supersayin" is also kind of how he became one in the anime
Yeah you see Vegeta gets to roll all the side villains and he always does it coldly. When it comes to main villains though…not his job.
Note: in the original dub, trunks tells goku to take the medicine “when he gets sick”. Since he hadn’t gotten sick in their timeline up until the fight with the androids, goku didn’t take the medicine. Thats usually how it works too. You don’t take medicine when your completely fine to prevent a virus. That’s a vaccine. But trunks gave him medicine to help him live through the virus. So no goku wasn’t just being dumb lol

Together with Vegetas sacrifice, this actually is his best moment in the show. The music is just amazing in the OG fight.
Now to make the whole Android vs Cyborg thing even more confusing, 19 IS a real android, fully mechanical. Just call whem what you want, because nothing is right 100% of the time.
I love how Krillin get's in on taking shots at Yamcha. Usually, he's the butt of the jokes.

The implication in the original work was that due to Trunks time traveling, the exact way things played out changed (the Butterfly effect). For exapmle the 17 and 18 were stronger than in the Future and Android 16 was also with them. In thus case the medicine was supposed to be taken when symptoms showed up, but in this timeline that happened later than in Trunks's timeline
In the actual series Goku was supposed to take the medicine only when the first symptoms showed up, but due to the timeline being altered he got sick later than he was supposed to.
