    I am living at kolhapur and was coming to Pune by night train one week ago with my wife. I was going to see my relative at Mantri Eternity phugewadi,I was curious about metro ride and in morning decided to go by metro.My train was reaching at 07.30 morning and I was trying to take online metro ticket by Paytm like Delhi metro but not find,but suddenly google informed me ticket can be taken by what’s up and I tried,really very good experience I met and started journey from Pune platform number to metro station and by interchange at civil court and go to kasar wadi metro station and my destination was only 600 meters from their.
    Such a graceful experience for me as I have experienced in Delhi and Vienna metro.
    Thanks Herdikar sir for your vision and hard work,it will take some time to change mindset of city but it is happening and as you explained ridership it is being fully successful and will be necessity for the city.

      हा लाॅरेल हार्डी बोलताना कितीही साळसूदपणाचा व सुशिक्षितपणाचा आव आणत असला, तरी हा खाली मुंडी पाताळ ढुंडी असून, अत्यंत भ्रष्ट माणूस आहे. 2017 ते 2020 मध्ये PCMC चा आयुक्त असताना pcmc तील भ्रष्ट अधिकार्‍यांना हाताशी धरुन शेकडो TDR ला मंजूरी देताना, कोट्यावधी रुपयांचा मलिदा हाणला आहे ह्याने...आणि त्यातीलच पैसे BJP मंत्री व मंत्रालयात चारून पुण्यातच आधी IGR व नंतर Metro ला अशाप्रकारे पुण्याला पैसे मिळतात, म्हणून पुण्यातच चिकटून बसलेला आहे. फडण20 चा चमच्या आहे हा संपूर्णतः भ्रष्ट IAS आहे...

    हर्डीकर साहेब, अत्यंत उत्तम प्रेझेंटेशन. एक सूचना. ज्या route वर आधीच लोकल, BRT आहे त्यापासून एक किंवा दोन किमी पूर्व वा पश्चिमेकडून मेट्रो मार्ग आखावा. जेणेकरून फिडर सेवेची गरज कमी व्हावी.

    Pune is first city in world without airport metro -- dont u think this is blunder and this can be easily done undergroud from ramwadi station

      Pune is a city without airport in fact. What you are using is a defence airport. What is the use of taking metro there if it will shortly be shifted elsewhere. Remember old Bengaluru airport?

      @@Sheela9999 no space in NDA buddy. Existing airport cannot be located but it will continue its smaller footprint operation for years to come. Instead new and happening airport at Purandar will be thing to watch for. Though still 10-12 years away from first flight.

    I am presently staying in Dubai.... Origin is Pune.... Pune Metro theme is just SUPERB.... I traveled to Vanaz corner and back to Pune station.... CLASS ABOVE.... VERY WELL MANAGED IN LEVEL WITH DUBAI METRO STATIONS.... NOW CONCENTRATE ON PARKING FOR VEHICLES BELOW THE STATIONS AND CLEANLINESS..... YES.... WE PUNE PEOPLE HAVE TO WORK UPON CLEANLINESS SERIOUSLY.... THEN METROS SHOULD OPERATE WITH COMPUTER CONTROL.... WITHOUT DRIVERS..... YES.... LET'S DO IT.....

    High dense areas should also be included in PCMC. THERE SHOULD BE A METRO STRETCH FROM SNDT university to Pune University. It will connect sndt, symbiosys, some IT companies, chaturshringi and pune university directly to kothrud, warje, karve nagar.❤

    The Hadapsar route which is in plans, can instead be made from Hadapsar - Megacenter - Backside road of Magarpatta City - Straight to Passport office chowk - Mula Mutha River - Westin - connect to Kalyaninagar/Yerwada line. This way it will get direct nonstop metro access from Hadapsar to Shivajinagar

    Please make parking arrangements near metro station. Nearest metro station from my house is 6km . It is cheap to travel by my bike than reaching metro station by auto.

    Hinjewadi MIDC road for maintaining is under Pune metro department. Daily 2-3 hrs average one is spending due to dirty road conditions & work progress of his metro work style.

    Sir sorry but u don't have present and futureview. Because locations of most of the metro stations are at wrong spots. Also u r doing same thing in Swargate to Katraj extension. Also u r building metro stations at distance of less than 800 metres. So the speed of metro is also slow because of this distances.

      Acceeptance of metro is in accessibility. If stations are more than 1 km in congested and 1.5 km in less congested areas apart from each other, they fail the purpose of accessibility. If people have to make use of alternative travel arrangement to reach metro station, it is not worth it. Not just in Pune, that is the formula everywhere in the world. Speed will increase as more and more rakes becomes available. To match rotation and staff shifts current speed is kept low.
