I have played with both lining and yonex shoes. Although Lining shoes are stiffer, they maintain the structure for much longer compared to Yonex shoes.
I am wearing this shoes recently and bought with a very good price with discount. Overall, i am very satisfied with the performance of this shoes. Very light and comfortable. I think this shoes will not very fit with my wide feet and need more time to break-in. But after 1 session, the shoes is getting comforter than before. I wear the black with pink shades, make it more cooler.
Blast se is a pretty good buy, bought one last year (sept 2023) and is still holding up to this date although im planning to buy a new one as its showing signs of wear and tear. Despite being a light shoe, it has cushion(but not that cushiony) and locks up to my foot pretty well. The only problem ive faced is its hard to maintain( the mesh design near the ankle accumulates dust over time and is pretty hard to clean off, unless you fully wash it).
Thank you for the review! Was thinking twice about buying the blast but now it's all clear. Hope you keep reviewing Li Ning badminton shoes in the future like that mirage pro and maybe some Lite models of Li Ning badminton shoes if you can. Thanks again for the review :)
As I remember the Yonex size chart in cm/mm is JP size and Lining size in cm/mm size is CN size. So I'm from 27cm of Yonex to 26.5cm of Lining and it's perfectly fit to my feet.
Hey CK! Watanabe has been on the DF-01 Pro’s since that model came out. He’s also wearing them in the picture you used. Great video though! Just wanted to clarify
Hi! I really enjoyed your video. Have you had a chance to try or hear about the Li-Ning Blade Pro shoes? They look impressive and seem to be loaded with advanced technology. I'm curious how they stack up against the Yonex 65Z3, as I'm thinking about purchasing a pair. Any advice you could share would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Mizuno also do a lightweight shoe series - Wave Lightning, I think they are 8-9 generations of them now. Been wearing them since the 1st gen and never going back to normal weight shoes!
I own a pair of Blast Pro and Mirage, the blast pro version also has a moving tongue, and mirage feels like I’m wearing air instead of shoes, but is even less durable
I play twice a week, but the insoles for the lining is so thin that it ran out very quickly (less than 6 months) =( I ended up replacing the insoles but its difficult to find the perfect fit so make sure to have backups ready if you end up wanting the lining shoes
6 months is a pretty good time depending on how often you play each week. You can always cut down replacement insoles to fit your shoe size so they fit well 🙏🏻
This is off-topic, but could you please make a video or share tips on how to wash/ clean badminton shoes? I've noticed my Aerus Z shoes have gotten dirty (not smelly), and I am confused about how to clean them.
This is not at all a fair comparison. Any lining shoes with se in the name mean that it’s low to middle end. But z series for Yonex are purely high end.
@@deven_shnot sure about India but in China the blast pro is a bit more expensive than aerus z but about at the same price level. Price-wise I still think the competitor of blast se should be aerus x.
I transitioned from yonex SHB 65 Z3 earlier this year to Lining JF01 SE, and i have several problems with it. although the lining is lighter, my feet are often sore after an intense session. My right toe, next to the pinky, kept rubbing on the toebox causing it to blister, and even cause the nail to fall off. I never had this in SHB 65 Z3, with the same size and sox. Perhaps due to the wider toe box, I feel my feet aren’t secure enough as they kept sliding. When I increase the pressure by tightening the lace the top end where the lace goes in keeps digging into my outer ankle. So, not the best experience for me so far.
@@Brian-RP1 26.5cm. They both have different US size, hence I always go with CM as it is much more accurate. I think going up a size (or half), for me, going to be a problem since that will translate my feet to have more wiggle room. If you have wider feet perhaps this will create a better lockdown on your upper and less ‘slide’. But still doesn’t solve my other issue though, like the top end of the shoe near the ankle. If you can get your hand on it, check the tongue and the upper lace area. the Y shape of the tongue is annoying, as it doesn’t stay in place. It kept sliding inward (ex: Right tongue keeps turning to the left).
I absolutely love the Li-Ning shoes, but they are so tricky to get in the UK. Places like Direct Badminton and Central Sports don't seem to stock the Blast's or the Yun Ting shoes. Does anyone know of a good place to get Li-Ning shoes in the UK?!
Even chinese athletes are playing with Yonex rackets and shoes this Olympics with few exceptions, every gold winner was pkaying with Yonex this time. Their rackets are exceptional and china doesnt want to reduce their medal chances just because of one sponsor
Hot take: Lightweight, minimally cushioned shoes like these are not beneficial for the vast majority of amateur badminton players. For us, giving up protective cushioning and support for a marginal gain in speed is just not worth the tradeoff, especially if you're a heavier weighted person.
as a guy coming in from other sports with top quality shoes, I can 100 percent say yonex shoes are pretty shit in terms of quality vs price. I'm glad lining is getting more and more popular now cuz you can clearly see that they're giving customers better respect with their quality per price, respectfully speaking lol
Absolutely hated Aerus Z, not as lightweith as they say, no real difference in feeling between these and 65 z, they are way too tight (I tried 2 sizes) and gosh they feel high, I was really feeling like playing in heels, this caused my ankle to twist despite this NEVER happening in years with Any other shoes, just go for 65 z, really

Good review as always, CK. I'm glad I'm not the only one getting annoyed with the upper tongue area sliding down to the sides on some shoes 😀

I am a fan of Lining. Used Ranger VI and lasts more than Yonex 😂 usually only lasts 1 year plus, for SHB and Dial.
Thank you for the great review, I'm considering trying out the Blast SE now. By any chance could you make a video on how to wash my badminton shoes?
You shouldn't need to wash your badminton shoes. If the soles are dirty, just wipe it with a damp cloth
Small correction: yuta Watanabe was using lining blade pro
So little review videos of lining shoes in yt, hope you will make alot more reviews of shoes other then yonex. Cheers
Is the JF-01 SE better than the JF-01 Pro?
I think we should compare Aerus with the JF-01 Pro.
Hey CK! Watanabe has been on the DF-01 Pro’s since that model came out. He’s also wearing them in the picture you used. Great video though! Just wanted to clarify
Yeah, they swap around too much 😂😂
I switched from Aerus Z to Eclipson, so hard because Eclipson way heavier. I will be back to aerus again soon
finally shoe review! 😁
Thank you for the shoe review videos make more in lining shoes

I find this helpful.. thx ck :)
Glad it was helpful!
great review ❤ i've found that it's hard to find the same replacement soles for shoes made by Li Ning, any tips?
Love the white. Cant wait to get it after my 65z3 wear out 😅
Well good luck with that 😅, it will take some time
I mean i was gonna get the aerus z but ive seen lots of reviews how it suck so im opting on the lining blast se
Lining blast se 😅🔥

I’m interested in the ‘wearing air’ section 😂

I miss the F1 LTD's, great shoe!
But you’ve now transitioned onto the heaviest shoe of all! 😂
@@CKYew You are not wrong. I think my feet need followthrough, just like a head heavy racket 🤣
What happened to the pro's equipment video that was up this morning haha?

Hi Ck! Are you going to switch to the new 88d pro?
Looks really cool, probably not getting them though :/
Do a review on Lining Blade Max Shoes
What shoes can you recommend with good cushion? Kinda have bad knees. Thanks
Will there be a review of the halbertec 9000 soon?
I got that Aerus Z and the insoles ripped quite quickly. I got it replaced with 2 new pairs of insoles and it doesn't last more than a week :(
CK yew i am having trouble picking out a string, which is better for control and speed Exbolt 63 or Aerobite string?
I like them both but uses Aerobite personally
Ck please do a review for astrox 88d tour, game and play 3rd gen
Coming soon
This is not at all a fair comparison. Any lining shoes with se in the name mean that it’s low to middle end. But z series for Yonex are purely high end.
In India the cost of Blast SE is same as Aerus Z so it is quite fair. The Blast Pro are out of stock so not sure what is their cost
The Blast SE is not a low to mid range shoe 😂
