These interviews are done at the 2024 Yonex All England badminton championships. Interviewed players include Lee Zii Jia, Chen Yu Fei, Lee Chia Tsin, Fajar Alfian, Muhammad Rian Ardianto, Koki Watanabe, He Bing Jiao, Anthony Ginting, Kunlavut Vitidsarn.

love LZJ honesty! ofc pros often use custom tuned equipment. they play at the highest level and they often require that level of detail to reach higher levels 😤

Very interesting videos. In the future, could you please also put what discipline each player plays (singles, XD, doubles). I think it would be useful for those who aren’t familiar with the players. Obviously, we can just search ourselves, but I think it would be a nice touch for viewers!

How do you think pros' rackets are customized? Stiffer? Head heavier? I remember holding CTC's racket and having a dry swing on it. It actually felt more balanced and flexible than the normal z strike on the market if I remember correctly. Could it be that pros also customize their rackets so they could be "easier" to use?

Hi, uhh question, what does it exactly mean when they say "customized" by the pro players. I am only aware with having the aesthetic customization but not exactly what they mean 😅
9:44 Ryuga Metallic only comes in wooden handle tho so that's not tuned or custom. I kinda doubt they are actually tuned rackets but just picked out spec wise from the different variations from QC. Especially since Victor is known for a large margin of error when picking out specs. But great to see LZJ being so open and honest about it if its true :)
ive read somewhere that the reason victor picked wooden handle for ryiga metallic was because LZJ not liking the freecore one
Tuned or custom can be the balance point, swing weight and length
Since I know that Momota's 77 pro is repainted 99 pro. I doubted that LZJ's Metallic is repainted Ryuga 1. XD
Fajar & Rian are probably the best Yonex ambassador haha they are promoting 88S & 88D Pro 3rd Gen really well , mentioning how comfortable & great the rackets are , plus Winning the All England with it ;))

Yup can confirm that player rackets are quite different CK!
I have a LZJ coded Ryuga 1 and it is definitely much head heavier and noticably stiffer than retail coded Ryuga 1s at the same weight (3U). Same thing with a player coded Z-Force 1 vs a retail unit (rip old friend :( )

So finally it is concluded that the pro racquets available for us in the market are not the same as what pros use. Thanks LZJ & ASG for throwing some light on this topic and telling us the truth.
i was shocked to when baek hana switch her racket to 88s pro. but in recent tournaments which is badminton asia championship, she back with her old racket which is 88s old generation😂

It’s just a naming convention but I believe some markets are not changing how they name the “No. X” strings.

hello ck, I would like to ask, did the yonex 77 pro frame got weaker? because back then the 4u recommended tension on the yonex website was 20-28lbs but now its 19-27lbs.

Wang Chang uses 88S Pro & 800 Pro. I saw in 2 matches they switch to 800 Pro in the middle of the game.

LZJ cooly exposed the 'industry secret' of pros using painted /customized racket lol. Learning which model the pros use is fun but always take it with a grain of salt.
Custom rackets are pretty common amongst the elite so it's not surprising 🙏

I don't really think they are so much different from commercial rackets. Maybe some weight, stiffness or dimensions adjustments, but I doubt they use completely different products. I really would like to know for sure though...
