Привет! Не нашел среди Русских мастеров нужного контента вот только у тебя! Respect! Thanks to this video, I found a breakdown on my 75mk2. My VR1 and VR2 were not receiving voltage from the motherboard. When I saw the manual in the video, I immediately found the problem. Good luck! Thank you.
catching up and preparing to do 2x GX(75 & 95) . modern W&F tapes can be a real problem to get consistent readings , and also maybe a heads up : the NAK T100 audio software gives a good w&f measure but it can also show you which frequency causes the w&f , based on that its easier to pinpoint down and troubleshoot down to which component causes the w&f , might be the flywheel capstan combo , or the pinchroller . my own little reference deck is the kenwood 880hx with single DD motor , typically i get tapes with 0.02 after recording on that deck
I could see that a Maxell UR tape had been used to make a test tape with! it is NOT particularly professional to use such a low end tape for test tape, I have been a radio mechanic for 40 years and have been at Bang & Olufsen for many years agoe, we used TDK MA-R tape with a maximum of 10 min on it, if used the kind of tape you had bought, it was almost grounds for dismissal. When all that has been said, all that remains is to say that you are skilled and that it is a nice job you do, nice that you don't just say it is good enough!
Hi. Just my opinion on W&F tapes: Don't need them. Just record 3k tone in the same deck you want to measure and play it to get the W&F. The measured value is double of actual value.
Results of 3kHz test recording with four direct drive decks confirmed decks can't really check their own data. That video will be up on the 11th. I had some VERY interesting results. One of those decks still had a W&F problem - I needed the data from the other three decks to verify, because the problem deck tested ok even with my reference tape. I'm very tempted to fast track another of my quartz lock machines because of those results.
@@OklawolfI am curious to see your results. I get consistent results using this method, but I don't have a true reference tape for comparison. Let's say that the results make sense considering the decks compared(Sony, Victor and Technics Quartz DD, Denon, Onkyo, Victor belt drives). Better results (and close to spec) for the better decks.
I'll say the #1 performing deck was not a surprise, but #2 and #3 were basically a dead tie, which was a surprise because they didn't measure that way with my reference tape. #4 was an even bigger surprise for reasons I get into at the end of the video.
So you weren't able to get W&F down to spec? I have been also been driving myself crazy with a Sony TC-K555ESII, similar W&F as your Akai (spec should be 0.028%) but mine is worsening after running for 30 min -1 hour (going up past 0.1%RMS and audible). I had a JVC that was better than perfect, as low as 0.018% WRMS and a Technics with 0.03%. I am at a loss what to do when a direct drive won't behave. Tried everything
Very nice video! Thank you for recommendations! I really appreciate that. Regarding capstans check/measure i suggest to get this device: Dial Tension Meter Analog Cheers

I can't wait for those videos! I'm definitely considering getting that software - I can see how useful it is.

@@asbcustomplease elaborate; or, Do you have any video studying/discussing this subject?

Hello, great job! Well, I am expecting a 9100 from Japan and will probably have to do a service. Can you tell me where I can get a manual service?
I have never found a service manual for this model.
Ok, thx.@@Oklawolf
@@r.mutopf139 use the gx75/95 (mkI or II) service manual? They are largely the same and should work for a normal service?

Can you put links to those channels.
They’re in the description.

You're very welcome! I've wanted a tension test tape for quite some time. They're expensive. I'll get one at some point.
@@Oklawolf those torque test tapes are super expensive these days, but when you are dealing with not one deck i think it is also nice to have :)
