    I got mine but I haven’t fit it yet because I’m really nervous and I’m trying to watch a lot of videos about it… I just don’t have the 550 to go in and have it fit.… But I’m really confident that this could work for me because it has for so many people and I hear nothing but good things about it :-)

    Jane you are the best. I am a teeth clencher, not grinder. I wear a mouth guard/retainer at night since I recently had Invisalign done. Will this work for me? I’ve never been diagnosed with true TMJ and I have no pain. I will ask my dentist about it but thought I’d ask you, too! Thank you so much for sharing your wealth of knowledge with us! ❤️

    • @Skinbyjanemann
      @Skinbyjanemann  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Normally it is ok, but if you are working with a dentist you may want to ask him. The oralift is a facial orthotic that works on the element of stretch. It does not affect the bite or alignment of the teeth. Good luck!

  • @ekatag6494
    @ekatag6494 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Wouldn't this devise make your face longer ? Which is not a good look. And lose face muscle tone? If you relax face muscles ,wouldn't they atrophy? I am confused .

    • @Skinbyjanemann
      @Skinbyjanemann  ปีที่แล้ว

      I totally get why one would think that, but it is actually the opposite. The tension in the muscles reset and the face looks more relaxed.

    Is it similar to the Angel Lift mouth device??? I have an under bite unlike you that sounds you had an overbite, & my teeth do not touch together, will this be ok for me?

    • @Skinbyjanemann
      @Skinbyjanemann  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is similar in the idea of stretch.. But the Oralift is a mouth piece that fits loosely on top of the teeth to create a barrier to stretch around. It will tone the whole face and redefine a jawline! Check out my personal experience: www.beautybyjanemann.com

  • @annnemesh
    @annnemesh 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hi Jane, do you or the Oralift makers have an opinion on gum chewing and whether that is good for the face/jawline? As you probably know there's a movement around gum chewing -- that it can reshape your face and your jawline by building up the muscles. It seems at odds with Botox used in the jaw to relax the muscle (and ultimately create a better face shape) as well as the Oralift. Thanks!

    • @Skinbyjanemann
      @Skinbyjanemann  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Great question! Gum chewing falls under a category of Para Functional Habits... :(.
      Parafunctional: The term oral parafunctional habit is used to describe any abnormal behavior or functioning of the oral structures and associated muscles. Abnormal behaviors commonly include bruxism, clenching, excessive gum chewing, lip/nail biting or nonnutritive sucking.

      Great Question... Miu Miu - It is a lot like going to the gym. You can maintain for a while, but after some time, you need to get back in there and work out. You take a strategic break from the Oralift; but them resume after a period. If you are willing, this routine can be done for as many years as you like!

    • @Skinbyjanemann

    Now does this work differently than microcurrent?

    • @Skinbyjanemann
      @Skinbyjanemann  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes....and no... Microcurrent uses a small amount of current, (1 millionth of an amp.uA). It build tone through a cellular response to the flow of electrons. The Oralift creates a hypertrophy (plumping or muscles) though the bodies own chemical releases called growth factors. It is thought that MGF, IGF, and MMP2 play a part.

    My concern is that I have a permanent partial bridge on the bottom right back of my mouth & if this will work for me or not?

    • @Skinbyjanemann
      @Skinbyjanemann  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Since the Oralift does not fit "snugly" it usually is not a problem. You place it on the top of the teeth and use it as an obstacle to Stretch around. The thermoplastic molds around the teeth, but only to help maintain the unit in place. Does that help? You can always email me for a complimentary consultation.

    • @valentina-pg4bj
      @valentina-pg4bj 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Skinbyjanemann My major concern is that I have had that partial in for about 30 years & if this device loosens it in any way, I would not be able to afford to replace it because I am retired with minimal insurance. Plus if it doesn't fit over the partial, then I would have lost this money since there is no returns. I wish you knew of anyone who wears a permanent partial in the lower back that is doing just fine. That would be a shining light! Thank you Jane for taking your time with me. • @Skinbyjanemann
      @Skinbyjanemann  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2
