Pokemon, more so than virtually any other video game franchise in existence, has managed to completely transcend the realms of being just a video game series, becoming a world wide phenomenon pretty much over night. Today, over 20 years since it's release, Pokemon remains just as big as ever. In today's episode, we discuss this infamous RPG and the effects that it has had across the world.

Leesah The channel Owner used to work for Game Theory and uploaded all his episodes into their channel, he has now left game theory and so he uploaded this old video onto his own channel, so he is re-uploading his video onto his present channel

This vid was epic! Me knowing the history of Pokemon aswell I really loved how you hit the nail on the head with the facts just like all of your other vids. Keep being amazing!
Now, so many Pokemon fans get into the franchise as kids. But so many of those who get into it as kids remain into it as teens and then adults.
Based on this info, I think the are more Pokemon fans now who have aged out of the target demographic than those who are currently in it. And that number is only going to keep increasing.
Given all this, there needs to be more Pokemon content aimed at fans who have aged out of its target demographic, both appropriate for teens and stuff aimed at mature audiences.
then, due to the sheer number of pokemons- gamefreak decided to NOT include ALL of their pokemons in their future games under the pretense of "quality control" and basically took players' pokemons from previous games that did not make the cut on their pokemon hub as hostages and gave the fanbase a huge backlash.

So.... you basically ignored Emerald and Platinum (Calling them Director's Cuts. Didn't talk about the personality value of Gen 3. Never even mentioned probably the biggest change in Pokémon, the Physical Special Split. And on top of that acknowledged B2W2 as the next step forward in Pokémon (Basically saying B2W2 was a new Gen and not sequels.)

Digimon was my life and I still play there titles over and over again also reminded me of the Digimon tri, last thing I saw was that new girls Digimon being taken by what seem to be the Digimon master the villain form the second season ( I actually can’t remember if it was a 2 series or 2 season) but dam they even brought back the opening from the original series to so good.

People always ask me why I'm not into pokemon, see it came out in 98 when I was 17 and back then pokemon was viewed as a little kid thing here in the US. I didn't even know what it truly was till I watched the Game Grumps play Red on their show.
Red and Green were the original Pokemon games made. Blue was the same, but with a bunch of different bug-fixes. The Red and Blue received in the rest of the world were both running on the same software as the original Blue version. And Yellow was just yellow.
I can't believe I've been playing Pokémon for 22 years now. Oh how the time flies when your training your team.

Back in elementary school none of my friends wanted to play Pokémon with me so I was left in the dust unable to evolve several Pokémons
That was a bloody rollercoaster.
Did you know? Pokemon was originally only planned to be two generations. Today you can see that the first two generations are far more connected than any generations since then, and GameFreak employees explained that in the first game you were supposed to fight your way to the top of the pokemon league, whereas in the sequel you fought your way back to that point and beyond, even surpassing the protagonist of the first games. Of course, the series eventually continued after it was apparent what a smashing success pokemon was across the globe.
Fun fact: shiny Pokémon weren’t introduced in gold and silver kinda u see only some Pokémon got a shiny in gen 1 they to need have the stats of a shiny if it has the right stats then trade it to the gen 2 games it will appear as it’s shiny version
