UPDATE FOR ANYONE WHO SEES THIS COMMENT TWO AND A HALF YEARS AFTER THE VIDEO WAS RELEASED: Bose has discontinued these earbuds, but the engineers who worked on them licensed the technology and started a new company to produce them. They are now called the Ozlo Sleepbuds and have a handful more features than the Bose ones had.

One thing you didn't mention is the noise bleed.
There is literally none.
You can be right in the silent night in your bed, no background noise, play sounds through them and hold them right against your ear, and you won't hear anything. You'll ONLY hear them when they're plugged in your ears, at which point the sounds just takes over your world. So if you're sleeping with a partner, there's absolutely no chance your alarm will wake them, or the noise will be distracting to them.

I was diagnosed with my first sleep disorder when I was only 3 years old and it's only gotten worse every year. I've tried everything... except sleep buds. If those will help me stay asleep through the night, they will be worth every 100 of those dollars.
@@constancestrawn1303 I bought a sleep mask for $15 on Amazon that has built-in headphones. The headphones obviously won't blow you away, but having the audio playing helps me out immensely. I used to lay awake for hours before falling asleep, now I'm out in 15 minutes or so.

It would be interesting to see if they become compatible with some home alarm systems. That way if an intruder breaks in, you don’t just sleep through it as the device would notify you. Unless you want to sleep through it, then disregard this

I've been eyeing up these for a while, but the lack of active noise cancelling made me wonder how good they'd actually be as I struggle to sleep with *any* noise. Maybe I should give them a go.
I mean, literally all they do is produce ambient noise, so they're probably not for you. You could probably get the same effect by leaving a fan running next to your bed, or a small speaker playing pink noise, or rainfall etc.

That would be cool but would make them too chunky to lie on with the extra mic, circuitry and battery needed. As they are they are equivalent to industrial grade hearing protection/ear plugs so you don't even need ANC

Same here, I found this channel right after I was put in a crisis shelter by DHS because my dad had been abusing me and he actually hurt me. Wade's gotten me through the worst years of my life, and I'm glad I found his channel when I did.

At least here in Sweden I was able to find "Amazfit ZenBuds" which is the exact same concept, but at the cost of 150€ instead of 250€ of the Bose. Just so you are aware, there are more buds like this out there!

Maggies are sweethearts, I've lived around families of them for years and I couldn't tell you when swooping season starts. They do sound gorgeous too.
Extra bird tidbit: Kookaburras are incredibly soft and fluffy to pat.

So I've lived in the inner inner section of a huge city my whole life. I FINALLY went on vacation as an adult to someone woodsy and quiet and far away. Turns out... I couldn't sleep! The utter silence of it all made every sound just so much more noticeable without the constant din of city bullshit 24/7. After 2 nights I HAD to find some buds and some city background noise to fall asleep to, and it worked! But I also wish they had been more noise isolating so that I didn't hear the sounds of like coyotes and unknown birds and twigs snapping... which absolutely terrified me. I could absolutely see the need for these things. I could see someone who wasn't used to city noise having a really tough time sleeping, and vice versa. These are cute lil doo dads and my pockets are now even sadder due to my budding audio appliance addiction.

I would've done anything to get these when I lived in a city. Instead, I trained myself to sleep on my back, tucked in tightly, a towel wrapped around my head to support everywhere my ears weren't & relieve pressure from the ear buds. Lack of sleep makes you desperate.
Bit of a long comment but, I’m happy to see reviews for things like these. I have misophonia and I know too well how painful sleeping in earbuds can be, I did it every night for years. I love seeing this options :)

I've struggled to sleep for years and the best method for me is just using stock Apple Earpods, they don't hurt my ears personally and I have used AirPods if I don't want to mess with the cable but I do lose them in the morning 😂
These (and this video) changed my life honestly. I'd been fighting for some sort of sleep solution that was just a touch more powerful than ear plugs.. and had resorted to suspending my iPad above my bed frame and listening in wired earbuds ... until I rolled over and pulled the iPad down onto my freakin head!
Anyway, these are an absolute game changer if you need to sleep in a noisy environment.

I’m too poor for these but the Sleep Cycle app has been my bread and butter since 2016. An alarm that works in a set interval rather than a specific time is such an insanely effective concept.

I’ve been using these for about 7 months now. They’re pretty great for me, they help with my girlfriend’s loud snores. They’re very comfortable for me and are just tiny! They last the entire night without issue and I have to charge the case every 2-3 days. I have had to send them back to Bose 2 months ago as my case stopped charting my left ear bud for some reason, but luckily it was under warranty so no big deal. I’d give them 9/10. The only thing I’d change is their color, because every once in a while one will pop out at night. I’ll wake up because I’m an extremely light sleeper to find the bud. It takes a bit some times trying to find a white headphone in low light.
The one thing that was completely glossed over for a SLEEP video is how this feels for side sleepers. We exist. And I’ve never found an earbud that works for side sleeping. Hopefully I can get some insight on this and how they work with all types of sleep. Thanks!
Side sleeper here with the Sleep Buds. They work for side sleeping.
I was worried they were going to dig into my ears or pop out like normal wireless earbuds do when I sleep on my side, but the Sleep Buds are small and flat so the pressure from the pillow is spreading more evenly against the ear and not jabbing the ear canal.
When switching sides during sleep or adjusting the pillow it's possible to dislodge them, but this wasn't a common thing for me. Most of time when this happened the wing tip would pop out and the Sleep Buds would lose the noise seal rather than them falling out of my ear.
Overall they're comfortable for side sleeping and have made quite a difference in my sleep.
I sleep on my side and just point one earbud in, in the ear opposite the pillow.... it's usually out when I wake up but it falling out in the middle of the night never wakes me up or anything
As soon as you said they help with tinnitus I was immediately interested !! The ringing in my ear gets really loud when I'm stressed or when I'm trying to relax in a quiet room and there's not much I can do about it other than deal with it 😭 so these seem revolutionary :D

8:12 Actually my ears start hurting after wearing ear buds for about 5 minutes. I cant stand in ear headphones, even while using the smallest rubber ear plugs. That's why i only buy overears.

Me too, look into CBD oil, it worked for me.
I took it regularly, and my tinnitus dropped by about 90%. I then stopped taking the oil, and it came back. Took it again , and it went away, that was my test. Now I take it in a smaller dose to keep it at bay.

i bought these a year ago, i was living in an apartment with real bad neighbors above. oh my lord if they are magical, only experienced them falling out 5 times in a whole year, and pain only when it was flu season. when my ears were a bit more sensetive than normal. absolutely a life saver, moved away from the apartment but still use em. loved to see this vid
so basically, I can just make my own soundscapes, and test them out to sleep...... nice
no you can only use the sounds that come with the companion app
I bought those and hated them. The soundscapes themselves sounded incredibly low quality, you could only fit a few on your buds before running out of memory. They’d also constantly disconnect. And the base runs out of battery if you don’t keep it plugged in, even if you don’t use the buds. That’s a feature, not a bug. 4/10 would only recommend if you have low auditory standards.
Is exposure to sound really a good solution to tinnitus especially if the vast majority of tinnitus is caused by exposure to noise?

It’d be cool if you tried out that headband with speakers in it, especially since you said your inner ears get all raw. I think the headband thing works better against outside noise than the pillow, too, but I’d be worried about headaches from the headband since I have a big head lol
I have one, they aint cheap but you can listen to anything. They are easy on the ears but can slip about and get misaligned a bit. The speakers aren't god-tier, but they aint shite either, gotta cut em some slack for being tiny.
Pretty hard to plug in if you don't have the OG cable, but you just push some silicone down and it fits right in.

The logic of "sleeping with wired earphones is like sleeping on a couch" is pretty accurate.. in my case, sleeping on a couch then waking up in bed isn't that bad. but sleeping with earphones and and waking up in the heavens after choking ain't really a good idea to think about.. but hey, i still do it cause it gives me peace one way or another 😂
Nah bruh, u just use off brand raycons from china and listen to music on youtube music so that it turns off after like 10 mins of listening and at some point the buds just fall out of my ears so I don't gotta sleep with em on. Its really good and cheap too
