Happy Halloween! I should mention that this movie is based on short film(s) that were posted on YT in 2016. That's still 3 years after All Hallow's Eve and one year after its sequel, so my comments on it being an "Art the Clown clone" still stand. It's cool to know it was a passion project for so long. If you want more spooks check out my second channel Alienbacon! We've taken the channel in a scary new direction with new branding etc: th-cam.com/video/fr1tsvAUHy8/w-d-xo.html
👾Damn Elvis has been on his Grind Lately!!👽You buying a new house bro? 😁 I sure as hell appreciate it an love to see AlienBacon back in action -"Time to Probe the Pig"
I saw someone dressed as the clown from the Terrifier, or whatever the movie is called. He was just walking around in broad daylight, he saw me carrying like 40 pounds of groceries on bike and politely moved out of the way. Needless to say my only interaction with the terrifier was not very scary.
For those that don't know The Jester started out as a trilogy of short YT videos and while they where pretty simple they honestly worked pretty well. Think one of the issues with this film is the budget and I don't mean that the budget was too low. I think one of the aspects that made The Jester work was it was made with almost no budget so the creators had to work within their limitations and couldn't use any practical effects. Of course, now that the creators had a budget they fell on simple gory kills which makes him an Art The Clown rip-off rather than the character that the shorts made him out to be.
That's a great point and I think what could save it is less physical harm and more weird magic like the shoes and the apple like a real magicians who uses magic to kill but not so much his hands like art
The jester was three fantastic short horror films and unfortunately they removed the best aspects about the jester. Which was the fact he never technically harmed any of his victims sure sometimes his actions ended up with the victims harmed but he himself never harmed them just using magic to mess around with people. Also in the short horror films he didn't ever deliberately hunt people down he'd put on a performance to people and if they applauded he'd leave them alone. If they didn't he'd put on a different performance which would always end with the person being the victim of disappearing act. The jester in this movies doesn't really act like the jester from the short horror films and i hope one day they'll go back and make a better adaptation unfortunately that doesn't seem likely. :(
I knew something felt off about this! The Jester felt like a character that would thrive with a much better script and if they stopped trying to imitate the Terrifier movies. I love the idea of a chaotic villain who just wants attention. It feels more like folklore or a Japanese yokai. (Haven't seen them myself but I have a good idea of them. Not a gore hound.)
Okay but making a horror villain out of the tumblr sexyman blueprint is actually pretty funny. He's just a silly little guy that likes a hint of murder
I legit thought they used green food coloring or something for the gravedigger's wound. I was thinking "What is the point??" I'm glad you showed the actual wound for a split second. Something so obviously fake should not get you in trouble
@Kieranfowler- Lol I was like, "They may not have had the highest budget, but damn... even ketchup would have been better than whatever green stuff they're using."
Funfact: Many movies about masked killers take place on Halloween because that is like the only night in the year where a guy in a scary mask and maybe blood on his clothes won't draw any attention at all.
The original short film was fun. I don't think that it needed a movie though. edit: it came out 8 years ago, around the same time as the first Terrifier. I don't think it's a rip-off, I think that "scary clown" is just a common trope.
Think also The Jester in the shorts was very different from the one in his film. At least The Jester motivations in the shorts was celebrate Halloween and least appreciate his magic tricks or he'll punish you making him kind of interesting. He was kind of like a spirit of Halloween a bit like Sam from the Trick r Treat film, while The Jester in this full film is just a rip off of Art The Clown.
Art the clown actually existed before the first Terrifier movie. I don’t think the Jester is copying or anything but I think Art the Clown existed first.

Holy shit. I remember seeing the original youtube short films a long time ago and thinking they were pretty cool. Now I wake up and it’s a C tier horror movie lol.
Jester is missing an identity and passion. Art is iconic because he's easily recognizable. Even if you've never heard of or seen a Terrifier film, you'll probably remember Art's design if you see it, even if you don't know his name. Art is also sickeningly chaotic neutral. He could either be the sweetest person you've ever met, or the worst nightmare of your entire life... and the worst part is that you can never truly know what he's up to, even if it's obvious that he's gonna kill or disfigure someone. If anyone can perfectly represent a Gömböc dice, I think it would absolutely be Art the Clown.
Also too it’s helps that David was in kid shows etc… he really is chaotic 😂I would love to see a comic style Batman and he plays joker….He plays other things very well

I get it. Am same way. but thing is. Most of these killers never do it quick. They will make you suffer so much you begin to wonder why you did not run when you had the chance.
Maybe the jester is a metaphor for grief and self hate and what that can lead us to do, maybe her dad did in fact kill himself and the jester communicating with her is a way of showing she blames herself, and the deaths around her represent how grief can lead us to hurt others around us and how it can cause relationships to deteriorate. But I might be looking too far into this🗣️🗣️

His name is Art the Clown 😂
Might have been the real Art considering how much the actor has been out in public recently in full Art gear lol
Yeah, you’re not making it through the night lol
Art is often polite, before and after butchering you. Does dishes, cleans clothes, mops floors, returns your lost purse, pays for the items he uses.
