Fantastic video. We'll done and thank you. I would be happy to send you future releases and you have full permission to be honest in your opinions (even if you don't like one) and I'll keep sending doscs as long as you keep making great videos like this!
Scott, I will be more than happy to try out anything you send... I mean you need another 53 year old arm trying these things out... right? :D. I am still banging trees with the Cardinal and the Wren and will hopefully do a follow up video soonish? Thanks and I hope the health stuff gets worked out... these older bodies don't bounce like they used to. Peace my friend!
If he was to say each time what disc he was throwing and show up up close. We too can determine what we think. And I've asked myself for a couple discs and was sent a link
Pete,… I’ve subscribed and I can’t believe I haven’t already. I really like the simplicity and honesty of your videos man. I also find your tunes you picked to play during them very calming and well suited for casual disc golf!!!
Awesome, thank you! I am not the best music guy and I have tried several different types, but I think I am happy with the Jazz blend... seems to hit a good vibe I hope. Thanks for the sub!
lookin' at the size of the rim on the wren, I think it's like a 5.5 or a 6, but will have to wait until mine arrive to give'em a real measure. Looks like it flies like a Roc3.
Ordered mine a couple days ago. Should be here in a couple weeks I think. I like how you threw them in the open and in the woods and threw many different shot shapes backhand and forehand. Are these considered premium plastic? Or are they able to be dyed?
Thanks for watching! They feel premium... maybe a blend of g-star, star and a little Gateway grippy blend? (I am just making crap up!. :D) The Wren did take a little hit/ding from the sewer pipe so it is not super tough, but I like it, and I think they would dye well... but don't quote me since I have never dyed anything. How is that for an absolutely crap answer that gave zero information? Yep, I am good! Take care!
@ogdiscgolfer Thanks for answering haha. I've only dyed a handful of discs. Some turned out awesome and some straight up fail lol. I will try to comment back again on this comment once I get mine and try them out. I'm no expert on flight numbers but could probably make an ok guess.
Good stuff! "Don't setup your camera so that you worry about killing it" - Proceeds to do the same thing on the next shot 😅 edit: Once the local disc shop acquires them, need to pick the Cardinal up. The shipping costs across the Pond are muy expensivo.
The two halves of disc golf TH-cam... I am playing great, but that means I have to keep filming! :D (Of course it usually works out the other way... I have all day to film... and my game is garbage!) Thanks for watching!
Yes I do! I have a couple of videos that I talk about it... feel free to check them out. I had the yipps (problems) putting regular, and I will do it for short putts usually, but I needed to mentally change my game/putting and from all my years with tennis, this shot works for my brain. Thanks for watching!
Wish he said which one he was throwing everyt8me but I agree the cardinal is a 7. How it Flys for me would probably be differentid like to know what he thinks about the heading a tail winds how the affect his throws
I usually try to list what disc in my videos, but I was hurrying to get this one out on the day I received the discs and I forgot to add that in before I published.
@ogdiscgolfer np pete was a slightly overstate midrange u would suggest to match the cardinal remember I'm a lefties I don't have no tee bird but do have an innova Eagle and lone star 7 speed 2 different plastics
Ok, couple of things... your name appears as user-kw1fo3db1s so I am not sure if I am supposed to know who this is, so I can't remember that you are left handed. Whether you are right or left handed, that shouldn't influence disc selection, it comes down to what discs match your style of throwing and the flight lines you are looking to achieve. I rarely recommend a certain disc for a player because we all throw differently with different arm speeds, etc... I prefer to recommend a principle to be looking for in a disc and then let the player find a disc that will perform that way for their game, so in this instance for a headwind, you would want to throw something more overstable... but that can mean something different for two different players. A person who throws 300ft may find a Teebird to be plenty overstable for them, while a person who throws 500ft will flip that same Teebird over because of his/her armspeed and need a Thunderbird or Firebird to achieve the desired flight. So I can't give a simple disc recommendation... I tend to prefer discs that are a little more on the understable side, but my good friend prefers really overstable discs... so if I recommended a disc to him that I like, he would probably hate it. My goal is to help players play, practice and train better, and the focus is that we all need to put in our own work and figure things out for ourselves. If you are not sure which of your discs to use, then it sounds like a great time to get out in the field and figure out how each one of them flies, so that when you get to the course, you are confident that you are throwing the right disc. That is one of the reasons why I almost always take a new disc out and play a one disc round with it, just so I can learn all I can about that disc so that I know what it can and will do when I play in a real round or tournament. I hope that helps.

@@ogdiscgolferthank you. I'll be fine... I believe I'm indestructible which should count for something right? Lol

yes it does! keep it up!
I wasn't sent these discs, I bought them when he announced their sale.

Love your shirt choice. Ferris Beuler's Day Off is my second favorite movie ever! 👍👍
9 times!
your putting is insane
thanks most days it’s pretty good but some days it gets atrocious. That day was a good day.
Great shots! lol
Thanks!

Yes, I am hoping folks who are smarter and pay more attention will make sure to hit all of those points. Thanks so much!

I Never said I was smart :-) where are you located across the pond?
"This video would have been a lot shorter, if I was playing like crap. DANGIT!!" 🤣🤣🤣

@@ogdiscgolfer thanks for the review. I'm looking forward to getting my set of discs.
First time watching you. Do you always put forehand? I might be a little early I’m only 2 holes in, but that’s pretty cool.
Except hole 5! That forehand putt would have been great!

@@ogdiscgolfer that’s very smart and cool. Man I love this community (for the most part) I’ll go back through and see some cool forehand putts!
So "Chuck Finley" from Burn Notice? :D

You couldn’t throw hole 10 on your way back to the car?! That’s lazy Pete.
Oh I threw it... I just didn't film it... lazy editing! Thanks for being my friend and calling me out... good thing you just had a baby! :P
