Dukey bud I had McDonald’s the other night and thought about you. I had the biggest dooker I’ve ever had in my life I swear they poisoned me because I complained about the long wait. Anywho, great video as always! Gotta run to the toilet
The absolute best advice I or anyone can ever give you is to just simply only try to play pots in position. Also try not to play monkey in the middle too often as in being the guy in a pot between someone out of position and someone in position. About 98% will never even notice that you are always trying to play pots in position, they most likely wont even think you are playing tight if you are consistently being aggressive in position. Tightish is rightish in most in these low stakes games this also applys to 2/5 and man you are going to love playing 2/5 bro i hope you get there soon. You will see a lot less weird random unreadable plays and a lot more young guns getting aggro and donking out and bluffing/semi bluffing in super marginal spots. All you should be trying to do is make people believe that you arnt playing too tight. Be confident in the spots you do choose to bluff and realize that the bluff that failed may end up helping you get paid in the future because we are generally playing tight right?
prob don't want to be showing table your folds esp the 10-10 hand that's just telling everybody they can get you off a big hand (which later happens w your AQ)
Hey Corey, thanks a lot for watching + commenting I’ve been watching your videos for a long time. As you once said Chasers is a very cool “meth lab,” and I really wish I could film sessions in there. How did you get away with it for so long? Just filming discreetly or something else?
In the bomb pot, with quads, I like a call there. You want more money going into the pot seeing how you're guaranteed to win half. So I like the call. I think a raise is going to fold out a lot of hands that you'd want to call, but I guess not a lot of hands are going to continue on those boards anyways. Great session. Keep up the good work
Solid performance! I’d only add that at Gate City, if you play a double bomb pot the top hand is eligible for the hourly “high hand” bonus. I forget how much it is on Saturday’s but your four 8’s may have won you that hourly bonus if you had shown it.
Another great vlog nicely done...One thing and thts just my 2 cents is the sizing of 75 preflop with AQ it's not bad but now you putting yrslf in corner specifically with just hitting top pair now u have to bet reasonable but pot swelling up I guess wht I'm thinking maybe three betting lower amount preflop...I donno I could be wrong ...lol over nice plays

You play well and make good decisions without trying to be cute. Good luck bud and send that hourly to the moon. You should definitely be playing larger than 1/2. Stay humble and good luck
For the AQ hand, before he even turned over his hand I liked a 3 bet jam on the flop. His line doesn't make any sense, never AK, maybe a decent Ace sometimes but mainly it's all just bluffs or a weak pair. He was getting bullied by you all day and it was a clear play back at you IMO. Its hard to say something and actually do it from our view but live reads and table knowledge can come into effect here. Great video overall and I wish you success going forward!
AQ on an Ace high flop is definitely a re- raise to his raise depending on how much he was left with behind. If he had AK or JJ he would likely re-raise preflop. So you only lose to bottom set. If he has that then so be it. But, that doesn’t happen often enough to make your hand a fold. In the video it looked like he had very little behind. Making that a call all day and twice on Sunday. It’s either a bluff or a worse ace most of the time.
@@joemac999 there are a lot of circumstances that you should. That hand wasn’t one of them. Especially when you notice the raise size and look at the raisers remaining stack. Look at the video he had almost nothing left behind.

When you start playing at the same place regularly be sure to remember as much as you can about opponents you play with more frequently, if you want to get dirty you can start befriending them and start talking poker and lying about how you would play a hand.. lol its kind of scummy but this is poker they would be dumb for trusting you.
I liked the bluff with AK but that technically was the guy branded as the calling station so probably not the best guy to bluff at the table but you were right so just keep going with your gut. I loved the snap fold with 10s but i would never be showing that to people you want people to believe you just 3 bet with some weakish hand cuz you are a new kid with loads of chips and you simply can't contain yourself. Also 80 was not a very large 3 bet, if UTG calls you bet your ass the calling station is snap calling with literally all his range.. Considering the calling station is in this hand you have to size up to try to get him to fold you are targeting the utg raiser that has a much more predictable range. You should be making this at least 100$ here its a meta number and it makes people think a certain way, if they are bad players it could help polarize their thought process. I would imagine most people would put you on AK AQ types of hands instead of a big pair simply because you made it such a seemingly large amount (100-120)(i like 100 tho its meta) and you have been very active player so far. They would be more likely to assume you have a big pair if you make it 80 because it looks like you arnt trying to scare everyone at the table away. remember 34$ is a lot to win with just piece of shit pocket 10s so bigger is better when it comes to raising with multiple players in the pot you want to just take down the pot pre.. I forgot to mention the big blind is incentivized to call you based on the fact that he knows the dumbass calling station has a high probability of calling based on the size of his stack (hes got plenty of chips to burn and he dont mind burning them).. 100 makes the UTG think twice and be like well 100 is big and i think this might get even the station to fold. Obviously he diddles you with the re raise and you made the correct fold imo fuck what the solver says. The solver will tell you shit that is super marginal and technically correct against all the different types of possible opponents. The solver is what noobs use to find out how to not be exploited whilst they are stilling learning the game. The solver doesnt understand each individual player as you know by your comments. Its just a general way to help reinforce your strategy as you learn how not to be a fish.
Really wouldn’t show your bluff at the table with AK. I know it’s exciting, but not only does it give away information. It also may have an adverse effect where it leaves the bad taste in the opponents mouth and he racks up his chips

I honestly don't hate showing the bluff. Helps opponents call down lighter, can help your table image. Especially as a vlogger I imagine that your image is "crusher", so showing down some bluffs is probably helpful.
It's live poker, you bet small and people think you are weak. That's what happened in the AJ7 flop. Plus it was the guy that you bluffed earlier and he wanted a revenge. With that in mind you had to call. About T7s bb defend. You can fold it and call with better suited hands. Also postflop T9x flops specially with a fd are bad flops to cbet with A high hands hu vs bb and specially in 3 way flops. With that in mind I can see me check fold on the flop and as played check raise on the turn as the only villain's hands get better with the A are AcXc and AA/AT
that hand with the 33 is tricky i would be calling because in the scenario im stuck a bunch of money and praying to hit the two and semi praying to hit 7 and quarter praying to hit the 3.. those spots are super tricky and we dont know if you would have won the pot if a 3 or a 7 came.. think about how likely it would be for those guys to have 8x in there range given the preflop action.. The only way to make this hand play out easier would have been to 3 bet preflop but to me that seems pretty marginal and could lead to a flip pretty easily or just simply being crushed by like 10s, the original raiser might be wililng to go allin against you pretty light with like 77 pre because they might think you are on tilt from losing half your stack so i think calling withh 33 is best in this situation. Without a 3 bet pre its simply a guess and pray situation and i think you played it perfectly, i mean you were stuck bro you gotta try to win in back somehow and what better way than to play a juicy bloated pot four ways and pray.
I feel like with the AQ hand at the end the flop was so wet you had to go with it there. He had air but all his flush / straight draws could do the same
Its also the guy Dukey bluffed with AK and called him light with a 10. So immediately after he put in the massive raise he is out of line. The player would never 5,5x raise a bet if he had 77or AJ
@joemac999 nah. Why would he choose such a massive raise size? He raises to 275 and leaves himself 250-300 behind? If you even wanted to get it it all on the turn then you just raise to 175-200 so you have a little under pot sized bet behind
Re-watch the AK hand. Why would you bet 653 flop against the BB? You don't have the range or nut advantage. Especially with the A of diamonds, you should 100% check
Damn bro honestly the only hand that beats you is jacks there or maybe queens but most people dont play queens pre like that in 1/2 that hand was pretty insane.. we doubt he rips a set or two pair there maybe an open ended straight flush draw rips allin there but i imagine there was a high hand promotion going on so that seems unlikely that they would play it that way.. its literally jacks or the guy is just doing some weird jam hoping you dont have an overpair because that jackass revealed all that information when the flop was dealt. Really tough spot and i think both calling and folding is a good play there since this is 1/2 and there are loads of bad players jamming A9 in that spot or even like k9 or just any flushdraw and some people are crazy enough to rip open enders there.. I 100 percent would have called and said "you have jacks right". only reason i thought maybe he could have jacks is because a lot of older guys in NH play jacks super passive pre and then very aggressively with its a good flop. I without a doubt would be calling though and im wondering if im a fish or not still. thinking about it i bet that guy would probably do the same thing with bottom two pair to protect against getting counterfeited. Still very few hands that beat you given the action. Next time you could base your decision based on how swingy of plays you are willing to make. Since this is 1/2 i think its ok to make a swingier play because there is always a higher stake you can go to and just martingale your lose like a true degen as shown in this video.. much respect to you sir.
you seemed to know your opponent well in the 108 straight hand.. just so you know its 100 percent ok to just check as it will keep the pot smaller and could induce a bluff if the guy missed.. im sure you know that though that you shouldnt play this river the exact same way against every opponent.. you played him like a fiddle though you put him on a hand he felt like he couldnt fold and im sure you didnt think he was capable of turning his hand into a bluff after you bet the river.. Against stronger opponents though if you are betting that river you bet your ass you have to call bro other wise you would be a missive fish for bet folding that river.. thats why if you have no solid information on your opponent whatsoever its probably best to check that river because the pot is big already and that river was not the best.. You had information on your opponent and you played it perfectly but i would have made very close to a pot size bet on the turn or even a slight overbet since u said hes a calling station.. look at all those juicy chips he had and how wonderfully connected that board is also this does protect you against weak flush draws and gutshots so getting a fold wont be the worst feeling in the world.. I totally understand betting closer to 1/2 pot though it looks much weaker and keeps a fish's weak ass hands in the pot. You are playing super well though man, do whatever it takes to get up to 2/5 and just start making week long trips to vegas.. maybe try to make friends with other vloggers in vegas and maybe they can offer you a cheap place to stay or maybe even let you stay for free if you guys collab or something. I think you would absolutely crush 2/5 in vegas
You talk as if 1:3 is 100:300… I think you’re gonna find after playing it for a while. People are just as stupid at 1/3 as they are at 1/2. Not really that big of a difference. JMO now when you get up to 2/5 or 5/10 the level of play is noticeably better.
I hear you. However at this particular cardroom they typically only have 1/2 and 1/3, so I would argue the skills are generally better at the 1/3 games. In some room where they have 1/2, 1/3, 2/5 and 5/10 running you would be absolutely correct, but that is not the case at Gate City.
I don’t hate the move, but it’s the timing that is more of a problem. You still have to establish an advantageous table image (especially with new players), before you can accrue any benefit from showing that bluff.

Are the games good there?
I love the 1/2 games at the Gate city! Shout out to Ben the dealer and Freddy the player!!!!!!!
Is Ben the dealer with the 1 hand pitch? If so, that guy is the goat!
You was felt Aces first hand and you say you was sun running🤔🤔🤔 not sure that's what SR is🤭
1 hand played, AA. 1-hand sun run!
Nice play bro! I always play there, hope we play together sometime.
I’m sure we will run into each other at some point! Thanks for the comment!
Come to Pittsburgh / Ohio and I’ll show you all the vlogging spots for content 🐐
If i’m ever in the area, I will hit you up!
I still consider 1/3 low stakes, unless 2/5 doesn't run there. You can almost always just profitably fold against aggression every time.
2/5 runs occasionally i think. But on this night, this was the main game!
2/5 is low stakes too. There's almost no difference between 1/3 games and 2/5 games.
@@joemac999 depends on the room
I play up at Gate quite a bit. I’m shocked I haven’t seen you yet. GL
I’ve only been twice in the past month or so. Going to try my best to get up there more!
@@DukeyBets Sounds good man, see you soon. Like everywhere, games are best on the weekends.
Good dealer!
Very good dealers up there!
Dukey Bets continuously shows why he’s the goat. Nothing new.
Haha, thank you very much for the kind words!
I honestly don't hate showing the bluff. Helps opponents call down lighter, can help your table image. Especially as a vlogger I imagine that your image is "crusher", so showing down some bluffs is probably helpful.
Seems like the masses in the comment section disagree with you on this one lol!
Filotimo in manch is a pretty fun room called Revo now
I’ll have to check it out. Manch is a bit further than the other southern NH places, so just gotta make sure I can film there first!
@@DukeyBetsI deal there and have never seen it done
@@amybertrand3416 can you find out if its allowed?
It's live poker, you bet small and people think you are weak. That's what happened in the AJ7 flop. Plus it was the guy that you bluffed earlier and he wanted a revenge. With that in mind you had to call. About T7s bb defend. You can fold it and call with better suited hands. Also postflop T9x flops specially with a fd are bad flops to cbet with A high hands hu vs bb and specially in 3 way flops. With that in mind I can see me check fold on the flop and as played check raise on the turn as the only villain's hands get better with the A are AcXc and AA/AT
Got it. Thanks for the feedback!
Limp call JJ with 4 behind lol
Yeah good stuff on that one 😂
put "let's go turn some sand into gold" on a t-shirt
Merch incoming?!?!
that hand with the 33 is tricky i would be calling because in the scenario im stuck a bunch of money and praying to hit the two and semi praying to hit 7 and quarter praying to hit the 3.. those spots are super tricky and we dont know if you would have won the pot if a 3 or a 7 came.. think about how likely it would be for those guys to have 8x in there range given the preflop action..
Damn that quad 8 hand 😢 coulda got so much more
we play the double boards in keene. 1/2 thats definitely not those stakes on Fridays.
Can someone explain why limp calling jacks a bad thing?
Because it opens the door for all the other limpers to get good odds on a call. Next thing you know, you’re going 5-6 ways with JJ, which is not good!
@@DukeyBets ohh that makes sense, I’m still new lol.
29:18 UTG raised to 15, so it’s not a cold 4bet
yes you’re are right!
Yeah looking back on this, it probably is a call, given the game dynamics
@@marvinkerbs772 he would if he was trying to get all his chips in the pot. Thats a fold with AQ.
Especially with the A of diamonds, you should 100% check
ace King Bluff is good. The show of your cards was bad.
Yeah I’ve been getting ripped in the comments for that!
Would have loved to see that guy crash out
Damn bro honestly the only hand that beats you is jacks there or maybe queens but most people dont play queens pre like that in 1/2 that hand was pretty insane.. we doubt he rips a set or two pair there maybe an open ended straight flush draw rips allin there but i imagine there was a high hand promotion going on so that seems unlikely that they would play it that way.. its literally jacks or the guy is just doing some weird jam hoping you dont have an overpair because that jackass revealed all that information when the flop was dealt. Since this is 1/2 i think its ok to make a swingier play because there is always a higher stake you can go to and just martingale your lose like a true degen as shown in this video.. much respect to you sir.
hey! i valet for gate city
Nearly impossible to win a big pot flopping quads
Yeah that is very true!
I strongly suggest that you not show your cards to the table voluntarily. Only show what you had when you must.
you seemed to know your opponent well in the 108 straight hand.. just so you know its 100 percent ok to just check as it will keep the pot smaller and could induce a bluff if the guy missed.. im sure you know that though that you shouldnt play this river the exact same way against every opponent.. you played him like a fiddle though you put him on a hand he felt like he couldnt fold and im sure you didnt think he was capable of turning his hand into a bluff after you bet the river..

You’re as monotone as my college professors. I didn’t make it through your into
You talk as if 1:3 is 100:300… I think you’re gonna find after playing it for a while.
Don’t show that AK
Lots of people have hated that so far 😂
I don’t hate the move, but it’s the timing that is more of a problem. You still have to establish an advantageous table image (especially with new players), before you can accrue any benefit from showing that bluff.
I’m not showing the AK bluff if I’m you. You come across as a nitty young kid with no bankroll. Use that to your advantage
